I feel like being personally asked to play the part of "The Doctor" would feel like being proposed to.
If the feeling of being asked to play the Doctor is like the feeling of being proposed to then I think that'd be an underwhelming feeling
Dam...he ages well
Yellow Boy He does look older, but yeah, he still looks great.
Mr. JustAGuyWithALightsaber
The way the show aged him up feels so ridiculous in hindsight. He’ll definitely be more like an Ian McKellan in his twilight years.
Yep :3
I know right, also with 4 kids, damn...
He's a timelord
Imagine if he just went "Barcelona" and we never saw him ever again.
I love David so much but i feel kinda bad for him that he’s forever going to have to answer these questions over and over again. Its been a WHILE since he was the Doctor and thats 90% of the questions he still gets even when he plays other brilliant parts.
That's generally true, but this was actually quite a good interview. The SAG one was great, too. Here's the full video. Not sure why they didn't link it.

Here's the SAG interview.

daffy deel I didnt say it wasn’t good. I just thought of that when hearing him say the story of how he became the doctor yet again.
And even when he was at graham norton show recently he got asked DW questions...
Nor did I say you said that. I agree, I feel the same way, that it must be tiresome to go to conventions and interviews and be asked the same questions over and over again. I was merely letting you know that this isn't one of those cases where 90% of the questions are about Doctor Who. There are an additional thirty minutes of non-Who questions, if you, or anyone else, is interested.
thank you :) i appreciate it
It's so cute that he was that afraid he'd mess it up, and then he became the most popular 😂
would be good to see him in the 60th anniversary Special with Matt, Peter and Jodie!
I agree! However I also still hope for Chris to return one day... one can dream right?
I hope there's an orgy
Set Username sorry to bust your bubble but it's very unlikely we will see Chris return to doctor who as much as I want him too
What about McGann? He's aged well so should get away with it.
I want McGann to play a Time war Doctor so bad. When the whole of time and space is at war, everything falls into chaos and he refuses to get involved. What did the universe look like back then? What did he do?
He's the right age for the part.
Ooh, I really like the interviewer's idea of the 'birth' of the Tenth Doctor being Nine's moment of joy in The Doctor Dances. That's a beautiful thought!
THIS IS WHY he's S ONE OF THE BEST. He watched the show, he was a fan,he understood the character and respected the fans.
6:40 This was my problem with things like 'geronimo' and the crack in the wall.
I always felt like 'allonsy' and plot threads like Bad Wolf, or the bees disappearing, or there being something on Donna's back, were woven in much more naturally.
I dont dislike Moffat.... but i always felt like with his crack in universe stuff he kind of just decided to shit all over Russell's era and almost erase it
I wish it was 2005-2010 again
Same... music was good too
gosh me tooo!!!!! i miss it too much
Those times were the best.
I wish I could use the TARDIS to get back in this period, all was so better, the music etc...
It was a good time period for Who, but you kinda gotta move on. There's tons of good moments in the next two Doctors tenures...and I'm sure the new female Doctor will have many great moments as well. The writing is bound to be better now that they got rid of Moffat (I think anyway).
David was my favourite doctor.
Take me back to 2005-2010 era please
Nerdy Tennant can I come with you??? Please!!
Btryx oh god, YES COME WITH ME! IT'LL BE SO AWESOME!
We'll fly through TIME AND SPACE! It's better with two.
Btryx yeah always better! You can bring some mates if u want haha
Yeee ok I have a friend who will come I'm sure! :D Team Tardis. I bring my sonic screwdriver too 😂
I feel like a year or two years ago he looked older (i guess thats the right word). Damn he looks good in this interview!
The best ever Doctor, this show has went down after him.
Nah Matt Smith did pretty well, went down during Peter Capaldi era due to bad writing imo
Chill dude, just expressing my opinion, no need to be rude
peter capaldi was better than matt smith in my opinion. i hated matt at first but started to like him. capaldi instantly fell into the role. David tennant was truly better than everyone who came after him so it did go downhill
We are all entitled to our opinions. Just remember the difference between a fact and an opinion.
I liked Eccelston, loved Tennant and thought it would go downhill after him, but Matt was delightful and I loved him every bit as much and just a little more. Capaldi is capable, I agree the writing has not been as good during his run. I loved The Husbands of River Song though. I'm not making any prejudgements about Jodie. I would rather not have a woman though.
I think all the doctors after him did great, but the writing definitely suffered over time
Get Back Here Jessica!
And the best doctor ever.. Although just watched him being Kilgrave , brilliant again.
00:40 David is Barty Crouch confirmed
that gave me shivers watching that!
Well- He is- XD
4:05 onward is gold.
I love David like a real brother
Doctor who doctor who doctor who doctor who doctor who doctor who doctor who
I wonder what's written on his t-shirt :)
alexandra s. It's ,"What if the hokey cokey really is what it's all about?"
Thanks Rachel!
I wish David Tennant returns to doctor who again or Simon baker will be AMAZING
Eddie Redmayne for the next doctor after Jodie Whittaker!
He should've taken her place.
Horrible choice
There's someone who was raised well.
Wow very interesting!
Bring him back after Whitaker. Or Adrian Lester from Hustle, it's time for a black doctor. 💯
what?
Aaand we got both! :D
LOVVVVEEE IMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Why does the interviewer Laugh. At. Everything. Shut up!
Darren Bermingham I think it’s because he’s a fan who can barely hold himself in front of one of his idols. And there’s probably a bit of pressure too because DT is a wonderful actor and the interviewer wanted to sound cool about it.
Despacito 2
I will admit I actually thought the 10th doctor was well flawless guess that was my mistake cute yes gorgeous no doubt sexy as all get-out no question I never never thought that he was stupid or dumb and I didn't think he was the kind of guy that would give Bros over to the medical uses doctor I thought of him more of the fighter than a quitter but I guess I was wrong I'm set to say that the doctor could have done better and could have fought shut the box or her but I guess he was too chicken to do it I guess the master was right he was a coward chlorite that. Makes me scared of Hope 12th doctor was right hope can be a deadly can be a bad thing cuz when your help with something and easily gets taken away yanked away is more like it so the tenth doctor thinks I'm just going to feel sorry for him it's got another thing coming Michael Sheen is right about one thing David Tennant is not the doctor anymore in fact even before he left Doctor Who he wasn't the Dr anymore he's not the doctor I remember
The dark ages of new who for me never connected with 10 far too human and bratty
Yeah. A lot of that comes from poor writing and direction, but c’mon. David Tennant was hired for working on Casanova. It seems very clear he was intended from the beginning to be a heart throb for the young female viewers. Which is fine, since new who is more a soap opera than actual sci-fi.
Agree to disagree. I don't think it's a soap opera at all. It has emotional moments, but it's STILL The Doctor, the TARDIS, and all the great big universe they've yet to explore. There have been various impactful moments not only in his tenure as The Doctor, but in various other New Who characters as well. They had to change some things to appeal to a newer generation. Not everyone likes constantly seeing crotchety old men being just that (although the Twelfth Doctor got that down pretty well despite the not too stellar writing on certain bits). I can't wait to see where they take it with a new female version of The Doctor and I want the show to succeed.
I just watched the first couple episodes of 10 and I don't like him that much and I'm still really missing 9... I really don't want to judge him to fast it took a couple episodes to warm up to 9 as well, but then I loved him :D
Alex Krause You'll get used to him
Alex Krause, His first few episodes were iffy, but he only got better and better.
Bring him back after the femail
Edward Spencer knob
Darren Tonks Lol I deleted my comment to be civilized.. Now your just being a douche
It's female, it means girl or woman. They're the ones with long hair and skirts.
He's my favourite Doctor, but no.
Femail was or is a pullout section of the daily mail. I expect you knew that
