コリント人への手紙第一 15:14-22
14 そして、キリストがよみがえらなかったとしたら、私たちの宣教は空しく、あなたがたの信仰も空しいものとなります。
15 私たちは神についての偽証人ということにさえなります。なぜなら、かりに死者がよみがえらないとしたら、神はキリストをよみがえらせなかったはずなのに、私たちは神がキリストをよみがえらせたと言って、神に逆らう証言をしたことになるからです。
16もし死者がよみがえらないとしたら、キリストもよみがえらなかったでしょう。
17 そして、もしキリストがよみがえらなかったとしたら、あなたがたの信仰は空しく、あなたがたは今もなお自分の罪の中にいます。
18 そうだとしたら、キリストにあって眠った者たちは、滅んでしまったことになります。
19 もし私たちが、この地上のいのちにおいてのみ、キリストに望みを抱いているのなら、私たちはすべての人の中で一番哀れな者です。
20　しかし、今やキリストは、眠った者の初穂として死者の中からよみがえられました。
21 死が一人の人を通して来たのですから、死者の復活も一人の人を通して来るのです。
22 アダムにあってすべての人が死んでいるように、キリストにあってすべての人が生かされるのです。
1Corinthians 15:14-22
14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, your faith also is in vain.
15 Moreover, we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.
16 For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised;
17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.
18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19 If we have hoped in Christ only in this life, we are of all people most to be pitied.
20 But the fact is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.
21 For since by a man death came, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
