Awesome! Love interlibrary loan! Can basically get anything you want. Thanks so much for reminding me. I need to get a recent 2021/2022 compilation book on McCarthy that is like $125 online through ILL.

BM is set in the aftermath of the Mexican-American war which ended in 1848. Glanton died in 1850.

This might be the first vid outside the Cormac McCarthy course that shows the depth of your scholarship. Both of you working in tandem to build a high structure, and deserves a part 2.

How does Cormac's life fit with his philosophy? Did he live what he wrote?

If you are living in a semi-lawless society (a kin to Cormac's representation of early America) where one is largely free to act as one pleases, where one is not oppressed by social norms or petty morality, then a person of any intellect will have little choice but to behave 'authentically' manifesting their behaviour and moral choices through a pure connection with their sense of 'being' in existence; as opposed to being an inauthentic zombie moral automaton, weighed down by the ethical habits of others. If no-body is forcing moral conformity and one has the intellect to rise above choices based solely on gross instinct, then a life in tune with Heidegger's vision of morality is more likely.

Bro... Trust me.. There is a master plan! Focusing on Cormac has taught me consistency and storytelling and made improving my videos easier. Variety content will start dropping again May 1st! Promise :p

I bet he would change his mind if he had to live there and had millions and millions of illegals pouring through.
