When messages are in the Spam folder already that option is not available (because blocking in Gmail means sending emails to the Spam folder). However, if you mark an email as not Spam-so it appears in the inbox-the Block option should be in the 3 dots shown in the video.
This is the same question I am asking . How can one block and email that doesn't have any messages with? Where do you put the email at ? Usually, it doesn't matter if there is any text in the email message from the unwanted sender or not. To block a sender, you just need to know their email address or at least their email address domain to stop getting all emails coming from that domain to your Inbox.
To block an email sender that doesn't have any current messages, you can usually enter their email address in your email client's settings under blocked senders. If you don't know their exact email address but know the domain, you can block all emails from that domain.
I found online that you can create a filter that will automatically delete emails from that domain. If you go into the settings you can see the ability to create a filter in the same tab where you block an address. From there you can create a filter that will automatically delete it.
Thank you so much my friend it finally worked with your help. In a Fraud case with 02 for 6 months although legally over (in my favour as I did nothing wrong they just wouldn’t leave me alone) God Bless you I can now rest in peace!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏😇😘Lynn (UK)
I'm just reaching out in hope you got a clue if this is even possible. I get multiple emails daily from the same 'core' email address but the rest of the email address is some computerized gobbledygook. Is there a way filter out, using a portion of the emails address(using core words/letters), and have these emails "sent to trash' using a 'Smart Mailbox' within Apple's MAIL App? I may be going at it in the wrong way 'thinking' the the Smart Mailbox in the solution. It just seems to me this is easy if one knew what buttons to push. Thanks and I did subscribe.
Here's a workaround: You can create a template that says something like, "[Your name or email address] has blocked messages from you. This is an automated response." Use this template when replying to a "blocked person." In other words, you make it seem as thought they're receiving an automated reply that they're blocked, even though you're just using a template and replying to achieve that purpose. It's not ideal but easy to do.

To filter outgoing email to spam in Gmail, you can try creating a filter with the "Has the words" field set to "from: [sender's email address]" and the "Delete it" action selected. This should automatically move all outgoing emails from that sender to your spam folder.
I hate that thier messages even get through!. It's hard not to loom at the spam mail! I would like the person sending abusive emails to get a message saying email address no longer active or something. The emails never stop :\
It's true and sometimes difficult to stop. You can keep marking them as Spam and at the same time screen emails from new senders to then manually either allow them or block.
I appear to be blocked by recipient. My url is correct but it's returned because instead of "k" the url has been changed to "kk" So my Gmail doesn't go through.
If I block someones Email Address (gmail) will they still be notified when I upload? There is someone whom I wish I could unsubscribe and un-bell from my channel... Is this at all possible?
@@cleanemail yes, exactly. There is a certain person who did some bad things to our family, and this person should not know where we are at any given time. But after researching it seems it’s not possible. It is an old person, so I’m confident they won’t create new gmail to spy, but I’m just frustrated that they are subbed and that they have notifications on for my uploads.
This is in Gmail. Funny, well not funny actually, I blocked some email addresses and it worked for awhile but they are coming through again. I open the email, click on the 3 dots, and it says "unblock" vice "block" meaning it is still blocked from when I blocked it before. Unsubscribing from them does nothing. Maybe I will try unblocking them, then block them again to see if that makes a difference.
This is the thing with Gmail's blocking feature. When you click Block on a particular email in Gmail, they send this email to the Spam folder, and usually it should mean you won't receive emails from that sender again. However, marking emails as Spam in Gmail has its peculiarities and doesn't always mean Gmail will stop sending them into your Inbox 🤷♀️
Hi there! Absolutely, you can still block a sender in Gmail even if you have deleted all their emails. Simply go to your Gmail settings (click the gear icon, then See all Settings), head to the 'Filters and Blocked Addresses' tab. Click on 'Create a new filter' and enter the email address you wish to block in the 'From' field. Then proceed to 'Create filter' and select 'Delete it' so future emails from this sender will go to trash. Hope this helps!
Hey! Thanks for dropping a comment. We get where you're coming from about emails being marked as spam when you click Block - no one likes that! The video was meant to shed some light on how Gmail does it, but we're sorry if it wasn't what you were hoping for.
The email that I want to block doesn’t have the option to block. How do I block that email?
I still don't understand why Gmail don't have option to fully block address instead of sending it to spam...
The block option doesn't show in my gmail account
Same here.
When messages are in the Spam folder already that option is not available (because blocking in Gmail means sending emails to the Spam folder). However, if you mark an email as not Spam-so it appears in the inbox-the Block option should be in the 3 dots shown in the video.

What about blocking emails in BTinternet?
I dont have a block option on the app... very anoying
How to let the blocked person know they are blocked which will help them not to reply?
Usually there is no way to let them now except for sending a separate email with this information.

You have to delete your Gmail account. There's no other way around

Yes, it makes sense. If the email address was typed incorrectly, it won't go through.
thank you

This video is because I cannot work unsubscribed that still send me, so ...
yes, if you tried all the ways to unsubscribe from a particular sender, the only way is to block them.
I'm free now
What a useless video! I dont want email to be marked as spamm! WHat kind of pathetic blocking that is? Blocked mean undeliverable!
