Larkhall: In Living Memory

- In 2014 Community Links (South Lanarkshire) conducted an oral history project in Larkhall as part of a challenging sectarianism project funded by Scottish Government.
15 long term Larkhall residents were interviewed about their past lives focusing on themes of schooling, work/industry, religion, recreation, family and community in the period between 1945 - 1990.
The oral history interviews produced over 18 hours of audio recordings from local people. Working with a professional film editor, Community Links selected quotes from the audio recordings and then matched these to period images from film libraries above and produced a short film focusing on themes of childhood, youth and schooling.
This short film was initially shown in Larkhall Library in early 2015 as part of an exhibition which re-created a living room using furniture and decor from the period.
Can't believe there aren't more comments.
Not Larkhall I was born in 1938 and don’t recognise any bit of it in this film
