To fix the bug. Just don’t offer him a contract for the first three days in the “prospect” period. Or whatever it was. Then the bug goes away and you can give him whatever contract you want. You run the risk of another team offering him stuff, but just match it. But that’s the work around I’ve found. Hope you find this!
I hope they fix the bug, in my expansion franchise i tried to lock up my 95 OVR power forward and it signed him to a restricted offer instead of a 5 year bag, and he wants to leave. i can't guarantee he'll resign. but i can't play it anymore and i can't see how his or my center's careers pan out.
I usually offer him a max contract each of the first 3 days, but decline it every day so he doesn’t sign to another team (don’t renounce rights when declining). And on the final day the first 3 days or the first actual day of free agency offer him the contract you want and it should be good
Idea: Sort of similar to this but do a rebuild back in 84 with the bulls. Build around jordan and try to do better than he did. Try to get at least as many rings and mvp's

I kind of like the injury consistency in the new game. It makes depth more realistic as well as team health come playoff time. Similar to injury ridden teams in real life at that time.

You know what would be dope for 2K to add, my league specific badges that would include stuff like specific to drafted players and badges people can just develop. One I thought of would be “late bloomer” where you get like a older player who’s like let’s say an 80 and if they develop the badge their overall can go up continuously for like a season or 2 like in the example of derozan to the bulls
