As someone who grew up back in the day I can tell you that not only was Karen Carpenter insanely talented as a drummer, she also was the only one who sang lead on all The Carpenters songs. No-one else sang their songs in studio or when performing as the band was her and her brother Richard (who wrote many of their songs and was their composer). That's quite a feat and likely quite physically draining.
Roger Taylor is easily the best 'singing drummer' in rock history. A far better drummer technically than Phil Collins, almost as good vocally, and most importantly nobody could combine drumming and lead vocals to anything like the proficiency of Roger. Vocals - awesome, Drumming - awesome. Both at the same time. On numerous songs.
Phil was the right choice for #1. The man is a vastly talented musician's musician. It's so sad he can't play drums anymore. I grew up with him. Much love and respect for the great Phil Collins.
@Juancho Núñez so a stoner who didn't know where he was half the time asked another stoner who couldn't play for shit to play on his albums? and you think that's proof someone is good?!?! c'mon man! he probably only asked on his early albums cause he realised how naff Ringo was/is. even if it's made up, it's still true!

Roger should be higher.. he was one of the few that could vocally keep up with Freddie's range & he's an amazing drummer and songwriter.. definitely should be higher.. also Ringo at 4? WTF? list seems screwy/. both of them should be ranked higher
Dennis Wilson from The Beach Boys, Don Brewer from Grand Funk Railroad, Brann Dailor from Mastodon, and Brandon Saller from Atreyu are also great singing drummers
I love the Beatles with all my heart but even I have to admit Roger Taylor either doing his amazing falsettos or his raspy voice sings way better than Ringo Star. I definitely would switch those positions...
Roger Taylor and Phil Collins are clearly the two best Singer - drummers ever! Roger had an amazing solo career too. I would’ve put Phil and Roger as the top 2 my personal opinion. 🤩
yes, although I would have liked Roger further up, even #1 I agree...Collins had a huge singing career, whilst Taylor didn't 'establish' himself as a singer until he went solo...but you are equally correct, his solo albums are fantastic, he's an excellent singer and song-writer, if not '1 (as I think Collins for his huge solo repertoire alone should have this), he should have been EASILY 2, and well above Ringo 'blisters on my fingers' starr.
Karen Carpenter is by far the best singer on this list. To even put Roger on the same list is insanity. You are biased from watching a movie. Roger is definitely good, but Karen, Don Henley (who should have been #1) and Phil Collins are in a different league. Roger was not even the lead vocalist - granted he was backing quite possibly the greatest singer of all time. Roger is where he should be - maybe even a bit higher than he should be.
Caitlin Frawley don henley had a better solo career than both, he may not be the better drummer but he was the better singer. u guys are just fangirling/fanboying far too much
@@karllansing7927 There might have been better drummers....but none of these people could touch Karen Carpenter's voice. It was unmatched. A gift from the Gods.
Jorge Sequera I wouldn't say overrated. They have/are (if you call bri, roger, and adam queen) always been an amazing, amazing band. The movie just helped them gain a lot more fans
But why is Roger Taylor higher than Ringo? I love the Beatles and Ringo, but Roger Taylor, in my opinion, can not only sing better, he has a better vocal range AND can play drums, guitar and bass! Obviously not at the same time lol
Irrelevant Commenter ringo is a fantastic musician, but the beat in most of the Beatles is a fairly simple one, with a much smaller kit. Roger works with a heavy metal drum kit often so big it's hard to see him behind it all.
@@Fitzroyfallz Er....yes. Gene Simmons worked in bigger boots than McCartney ever wore ... but does that make him a better bassist? lol Seriously now, Roger Taylor seems to be far and away a better drummer, singer and even all-round performer than Ringo. AND that's from a Beatles fan of 5 decades standing - who doesn't really know a lot of the Queen repertoire. Any love for Stewart Copeland out there? Surprised to not even see an honorable mention for him.
Okay- given the criteria, I agree that Phil Collins comes out at Number One. But to say "He's the genius behind Genesis" is kind of misleading. If you mean he's the genius drummer positioned behind Genesis onstage, okay- but Genesis was always a collective band. One could argue that keyboardist Tony Banks contributed the most towards creating their sound, but all the way back to before Collins was even in the band, they nearly always shared credit. "There must be some misunderstanding." Best to all.
Simply one of the purest, most beautiful voices ever. And a drummer of such technical accomplishments and feel that even the great Buddy Rich was a fan!
Since the 70s, people like to dismiss the Carpenters as a mere square pop duo... Karen's 8th placement in this list proves the huge snob to their talents. Super underrated.
Leo Goldfarb right on. Kelly is top 5 or 6 easy. After u ditch Mickey and Sheila and even Ringo (who can play but only can do basics while playing) u have room for Deen Castronovo
Glad that Karen Carpenter was recognized for her drumming which is often overlooked because of her outstanding vocals. Shout out to Deen Castronovo of Journey who IMHO is still under-utilized and under-appreciated.
Roger Taylor and Ringo Starr both deserve better for me they're tied for first place but I can see why Phil Collins is at #1 here, the man is a fantastic drummer and singer
IF it matters, both wrote songs too. Collins is a great musician no doubt of it but he is unavoidable as much for his incredible commercial success. He went from being a Genesis man (progr rock, didn't really become anywhere near mainstream commercial til 1980,) while PC seems to have approached his post-Genesis career from a 'let's see how often we can hit NO 1' perspective. Can't argue - he was good, nay, exceptionally good at it. Not a man who's gonna die wonderin'.
Uno...Levon Dos....Ringo Tres...Karen Carpenter Cuatro.....Buddy miles Cinco......Pete Rivera...Rare Earth Both Levon and Pete have a very distinct voice that sets them apart from everyone else! Phill Collins at the one spot? Are you Fing kidding?
You've probably never listened to Genesis then. Listen to Dukes Travels/Dukes End, Dance On A Volcano, The Musical Box, Watcher Of The Skies and In The Cage. If you can't hear the greatness in Phils drumming there, you're probably deaf. His performances in those songs, and many more, is absolutely mindblowing.
Juan Sebastián Pizarro True. "The genius behind Genesis" was Peter Gabriel, but well, Phil did great job as well. It's just completely different Genesis, than from Gabriel's era. But when you watch this video, you have to appreciate his part of job.
Totally dropped the ball by not adding the Rev in the Top 5. He was not only a pivotal part of A7X's vocals, but also a main lyricist. As well as one of the best drummers my generation has seen. An all around musician.
The guy had a hell of a voice, and could sing while not missing a beat on drums. I'm pissed he wasn't on the list. He deserves more than just a honorable mention.
She was very good. Phil was a far more accomplished drummer, and probably the most accomplished drummer on this list. Add to that the huge success as a solo artist and singer of Genesis, and he is the clear #1 for me.
Freddie’s vocals outshined Roger’s by a long shot. Phil Collins was not only the drummer of Genesis, but basically the lead singer too, so he honestly is placed right as number 1.
Roger Taylor should have been #1 or even #2, honestly. The fact that Taylor was the one who would take over the high notes FOR the incredibly talented Freddie during many live performances while still doing his amazing drum work makes him deserve at least a bit higher than #4. Some of the sounds he could achieve were almost not human as well. An example being in Somebody to Love, which many would mistaken as Brian May's guitar.
When Levon Helm can play jazz fusion, wake me up. Or big band. Or progressive rock. The most famous is the best drummer on this list, and the most versatile.
The Rev is awesome, he should've been on the list. He definitely owns some of the candidates. Also Brann Dailor of Mastodon is a great singing drummer who could've at least made it to the honorable mentions. And I think Taylor Hawkins is just as good -if not better- than Dave Grohl. He's just a little less famous and doesn't play guitar, but that's not what the list is about right.
Levon Helm's muse didn't malfunction on band naming day. The Band takes its name from when they backed Bob Dylan during his "electric" tour, headlining as Bob Dylan and The Band. Check yourself before you wreck yourself WatchMojo.
Suds They were The Band because hey all played several instruments and but Robbie Robertson ssng, they usually turned his microphone off. Levon wss the leader snd Robbe screwed everyone else by taking most of the money and all of the rights to the songs they wrote together.
Best known as Elton John's drummer for the past 50 years, Nigel Olsson has a great voice, too. His backing vocals are excellent on so many EJ classics.
I pretty well agree with this list, especially the top three. When I started watching this, I had figured Don Henley as #1, but I had completely forgotten about Phil Collins. I agree that Phil and Don should be at the top.
I do not know and have never known any Phil Collins songs. I have heard of his name a couple times before, know he's a drummer and singer, a 67 year old bald guy, and that he sang for Genesis but not much else.
Where are you from, Ryan? Are you a musician? If you are a musician and are from the US or England and are not familiar with Phil Collins, and don't know or have never played any of his songs, you are in serious need of some pop music education.
OK, well, Phil Collins is from England and had many hit records with Genesis (almost every song on the "Invisable Touch" album was also a top ten hit) and then many big hits on his own as a solo artist. So in his own right, Phil Collins is just as big a hit maker and star as Don Henley and the Eagles.
"The Band" name was not a lapse of imagination - they were called that because in their early days they were a backing band, in fact THE BAND everybody wanted
"He's THEE genius behind Genesis"......Sorry but I beg to differ. There have been several geniuses behind Genesis going as far back as Anthony Philipps.Peter Gabriel,Steve Hackett,Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford along with Phil ALL contributed greatly to the song writing and compositions for the band.I think that because Phil's solo career began to take off at the same time that Genesis became more popular in the 80's most people assumed that the band was just a vehicle for Phil, and it was all just a one man show. They assumed the other guys were merely his back up performers but this is definitely not the case.
They had 2 good records with him on Vocals, Trick of the tail, and Wind and Wuthering. Everything after that was garbage. Of course that's when they became wildly popular...
He wasn't even a member when the band got together. Historically, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford would "be" Genesis, because they've been in every lineup from "From Genesis to Revelation" to "Calling All Stations". But Genesis has always been a conglomerate of talented musicians, so their music changed when Collins joined, it changed when Gabriel left, it changed when Hackett left (in my opinion the worst loss of them all), and it changed when Collins left. Every lineup must be heard in its own right, otherwise you're doing the artists wrong. If in doubt, listen to Banks' and Rutherford's solo projects and hear how much of their personal sound is also part of Genesis' music. And how much of the sound is still left on "Calling All Stations". The progressive back bone of Genesis kept visible underneath the layers of pop.

Don Henley himself would tell you LEVON HELM was the number one period! You can drop him and Collins down a notch and switch'm around but LEVON was by far the best. Look at the history. Henley and Collins were second generation. Levon drank from the well, and it shows. He came up in Arkansas and learned from the black blues drummers of the 30's, 40's and 50's. Watch and listen . Levon is so deep in the groove. Watch the movie "The Last Waltz" ( the Scorsaze movie) The song "Ophelia" just one example.

Brooklynn Hall Jeez it’s only a list. Trust me, I love Roger but I think he deserved to be #5. He’s amazing but not the best.
ROGER NUMBER 5!?!?!?
Liddy :P Roger Taylor is The best no in The world but in The universe
Hold my beer.
Just where he should be. No higher and no lower
Ahem y isn’t he #1??
I would give him #1 because of his falsetto.
Karen Carpenter only nr8? What were you thinking? She has by far the best voice of this bunch, and is a solid drummer!
she could outdrum all of them. maybe im bias being a woman. too bad bonzo was scared to have a drum off with her. would love to see that. hey, i wonder if bonzo could sing

Pretty hard to disagree with this.
But damn I miss Karen Carpenter.
I can't even imagine how many gorgeous recordings we would have now. Seriously makes me choke up to talk about her.
Pretty boy Roger Taylor💕
This video showed me that, not only was Karen Carpenter a drummer, but an INCREDIBLE drummer. Holy crap, she smokes!
Yeah I always assumed she sucked..........Wrong
KC was the drummer of the year in 1975, she started as a jazz drummer which most of the great ones do, as far as her singing, the best.
Buddy Rich gave KC praise so she definitely played very well.
She must have saved her drumming talent for use elsewhere, certainly not the Carpenters.
Clicked this video to make sure Roger Taylor was here. I was not disappointed.
David Somers was searching for this comment
Dude right? But know Collins waa first.
Hahaha, exactly! Me too ;-)
Same
Roger Taylor is easily the best 'singing drummer' in rock history. A far better drummer technically than Phil Collins, almost as good vocally, and most importantly nobody could combine drumming and lead vocals to anything like the proficiency of Roger. Vocals - awesome, Drumming - awesome. Both at the same time. On numerous songs.
Nobody gonna talk about Dave Grohl at Number 7? Man’s a living legend.
Right? Grohl deserved a better spot.
Dave Grohl is a shit singer though.
debatable.
The majority of Grohls singing is done with the foos so he’s not drumming
That's the biggest travesty on this list
Now, if we can get Phil Collins AND Roger Taylor to drum together... omg.
What’s that up there in the sky? Oh never mind, that’s just my snatched wig
Looks like it’s in orbit now
That would really be a good show for real. Awesome idea....
That would be awesome!
they did; 2002 Buckingham Palace Garden; find it under Queen + Beatles
Add don henley for a country feel
Phil was the right choice for #1. The man is a vastly talented musician's musician. It's so sad he can't play drums anymore. I grew up with him. Much love and respect for the great Phil Collins.
Michae Brown One of my favorite artists of all time.
I love queen and roger Taylor but can we all appreciate Ringo Starr? ❤️
fucking legend
These two should be in second or third place
YES
no, we can't! over-rated tripe! 'he's not even the best drummer in the Beatles' J. Lennon
I love how we all thought of Roger Taylor immediately
Roger Taylor is definitely my favorite
Roger Taylor is the best NO in the world but in the UNIVERSE!!
Some drunk homeless day with a gun: OK MISTA
Don Henley has a better voice.
Bill Ward has far better drumming.
Ringo Starr combines both better.
haha. you're funny
I respectfully disagree. Although Roger Taylor is very talented and I admire him, I have to say that Phil Collins is better.
Karen Carpenter was an outstanding drummer. Buddy Rich was even impressed with her drumming, and he normally didn’t like non-jazz drummers.
Karen is #1 on my list
She had the most solid vocals for an alto
i think she was a jazz drummer
my list
1:roger taylor
2: rings starr
3: whoever you want
i’ve been a huge queen fan before the movie so don’t think about back chatting. (Get it? they have a song called back chat)
haha
Don Henley and Levon Helm .. Legends
Roger should be higher.. he was one of the few that could vocally keep up with Freddie's range & he's an amazing drummer and songwriter.. definitely should be higher.. also Ringo at 4? WTF? list seems screwy/. both of them should be ranked higher
I came here just to make sure Roger was on top, cause he’s the actual best
Go listen to some Rare Earth, Peter Rivera had a more powerful voice than anyone on this list, other than Levon Helm, who was my favorite on this list
Don henley is #1 in my book
Caitlin Frawley don henley had a better solo career than both, he may not be the better drummer but he was the better singer. u guys are just fangirling/fanboying far too much
Hey HEY HEY!!
ROGER TAYLORRRRRR
Karen Carpenter was the most talented of the lot.
She's pretty good but in my opinion I think Roger is the best
@Frenchy yea he's good
Phil Collins blows them all put of the water.
@@karllansing7927 There might have been better drummers....but none of these people could touch Karen Carpenter's voice. It was unmatched. A gift from the Gods.
i think she was the most solid. and drummed the most complex grooves while singing
and Don Brewer of Grand Funk Railroad? how could we miss him?
I was shocked he wasn't on the list. Maybe there needed to be a GFR movie to make that happen
That's why I clicked on this in the first place ! VERY DISAPPOINTED ! Karen Carpenter . . Really ?
I just read this after I posted the same thing!
・Ψ(*´・×・)ノ|<※Yes. I think so and he have to list on naturally.
Thank you so much from Japan.
For sure!!
The rev should be in the top 3 at least.
***** You try playing heavy metal on the drums whilst singing
Rev should be number 1 with his vocal range
***** What are they then?
***** No, just no.
***** How are they not heavy metal?!

Queen is overrated For The movie
Jorge Sequera I wouldn't say overrated. They have/are (if you call bri, roger, and adam queen) always been an amazing, amazing band. The movie just helped them gain a lot more fans
@@ayupflo All The Way Collins Should 1.
@@jorgesequera3482bruh
You got number one spot on, Phil is an amazing drummer, vocalist and lovely human being. So modest.
Gene Simmons worked in bigger boots than McCartney ever wore ... but does that make him a better bassist? lol
Seriously now, Roger Taylor seems to be far and away a better drummer, singer and even all-round performer than Ringo. AND that's from a Beatles fan of 5 decades standing - who doesn't really know a lot of the Queen repertoire.
Any love for Stewart Copeland out there?
Surprised to not even see an honorable mention for him.
F*ckn LOVE Levon Helm, RIP my friend
Okay- given the criteria, I agree that Phil Collins comes out at Number One. But to say "He's the genius behind Genesis" is kind of misleading. If you mean he's the genius drummer positioned behind Genesis onstage, okay- but Genesis was always a collective band. One could argue that keyboardist Tony Banks contributed the most towards creating their sound, but all the way back to before Collins was even in the band, they nearly always shared credit. "There must be some misunderstanding." Best to all.
Phil Collins has said before that he just did as told.
Peter Gabriel was the genius behind Genesis. They lost a lot of their technicality when he left
@@davidnissim589 phil collins a better front man than Gabriel for Genesis. If that is the case why did Genesis get more popular after Gabriel left.
Personally, I would put Karen Carpenter MUCH higher(lower) on the list...TOP 5, easy!!!
Agreed. She should be much higher on this list.
Simply one of the purest, most beautiful voices ever. And a drummer of such technical accomplishments and feel that even the great Buddy Rich was a fan!
@@rogerevansen2882 Absolutely!!!🖒
Since the 70s, people like to dismiss the Carpenters as a mere square pop duo...
Karen's 8th placement in this list proves the huge snob to their talents. Super underrated.
You missed Don Brewer from Grand Funk and Kelly Keagy from Night Ranger...
TOTALLY. Peter Rivera inspired me to be a led singing drummer !
Leo Goldfarb right on. Kelly is top 5 or 6 easy. After u ditch Mickey and Sheila and even Ringo (who can play but only can do basics while playing) u have room for Deen Castronovo
John Donahue - And no Don Brewer?
“Roger Taylor...” FINALLY!! Only reason I clicked on was to see this man❤️❤️
Kelly Keagy for Night Ranger too. See: Sing Me Away, live.
Yeah he shared lead vocals even on Sister Christian what a singer and drummer their biggest hit
Glad that Karen Carpenter was recognized for her drumming which is often overlooked because of her outstanding vocals. Shout out to Deen Castronovo of Journey who IMHO is still under-utilized and under-appreciated.
I'm glad they remembered Karen Carpenter, Mickey Dolenz and Sheila E.
Roger Taylor and Ringo Starr both deserve better for me they're tied for first place but I can see why Phil Collins is at #1 here, the man is a fantastic drummer and singer
exactly, he and Taylor are good drummers, something that can't be said about Stingo Ringo
@@petermcnallt12pm ya, ringo wasnt that great a drummer
I came to see if, Phil Collins got #1.
Me too man 😂
I would’ve put Don #1 but I still love PC.

4: Robert Wyatt
5: Don Brewer
Uno...Levon
Dos....Ringo
Tres...Karen Carpenter
Cuatro.....Buddy miles
Cinco......Pete Rivera...Rare Earth
Both Levon and Pete have a very distinct voice that sets them apart from everyone else!
Phill Collins at the one spot?
Are you Fing kidding?
Phil is the god, and he is actually very underrated so you should just shut your mouth plus no one cares
#1 should be Don Brewer from Grand Funk Railroad.
Phil Collins is the best drummer in the world. You better go listen to his music and you will realize why he is the best 🙂
Phil is one of the best
I want to add Deen Castronovo to this list. What a voice and he is a awesome drummer.
Phil Collins is awesome!
Until he took the lead in Genesis.
Juan Sebastián Pizarro True. "The genius behind Genesis" was Peter Gabriel, but well, Phil did great job as well. It's just completely different Genesis, than from Gabriel's era. But when you watch this video, you have to appreciate his part of job.
Radoslav Kašparec
i liked both eras of Genesis
Radoslav Kašparec Exactly!
Peter Gabriel was not the genius behind Genesis. It was Tony Banks and Steve Hackett
Karen Carpenter had a great pop voice, very under-rated because of the light-weight view of her music.
I'm into rock/metal, but Karen Carpenter had an amazingly beautiful voice; and the first time I learned she drummed too, I was hooked!
+Tominscv she did sing great very mutch underated
Totally dropped the ball by not adding the Rev in the Top 5. He was not only a pivotal part of A7X's vocals, but also a main lyricist. As well as one of the best drummers my generation has seen. An all around musician.
Yeah I was hoping for him to be in the top 10 as well as Jen Ledger, but at least they got HMs, which are better than not being on here
When it comes to music they always pick musicians before the 20th century came. But Rev should have been somewhere in the top ten.
Shawn lund yeah that's usually right
The guy had a hell of a voice, and could sing while not missing a beat on drums. I'm pissed he wasn't on the list. He deserves more than just a honorable mention.
Just listen to A Little Piece of Heaven or Critical Acclaim
Karen Carpenter was an amazing drummer.
Scott Hornby Yet interestingly Hal Blaine was on drums for about 75% of the Carpenters recorded output.
She was very good. Phil was a far more accomplished drummer, and probably the most accomplished drummer on this list. Add to that the huge success as a solo artist and singer of Genesis, and he is the clear #1 for me.
I think it was because it was easier to do the overdubbing if they didn't pick up the drum sounds on the voice recording.
Yes she was and a voice to match.
Maybe, but while all these drummers could sing, Karen Carpenter had a unique and beautiful voice way better than anything else on this list
Good list, but I'm disappointed Gil Moore from Triumph wasn't on the list.
Dude I get you.
Yeah, anyone thinks Dave Grohl was better or should even be on this list don't know sh!t....
Dennis Wilson from The Beach Boys was a great singer.
True True
He was barely a drummer though.
Dennis wasn`t a good drummer . And is not me saying , he told me a million times . My good friend RIP
Roger Taylor HONESTLY deserves # 1 he has such an incredibly unique voice nobody has he is just amazing and so talented wow
Most Famous: Phil Collins
Greatest: Levin Helm
Completely Missed: Don Brewer
Novice researcher at best ! E Pluribus Funk ! !
When Levon Helm can play jazz fusion, wake me up. Or big band. Or progressive rock. The most famous is the best drummer on this list, and the most versatile.
Not to mention Peter Rivera of Rare Earth
Did you say my name?
Most Overrated: Roger Taylor
The Rev is awesome, he should've been on the list. He definitely owns some of the candidates. Also Brann Dailor of Mastodon is a great singing drummer who could've at least made it to the honorable mentions. And I think Taylor Hawkins is just as good -if not better- than Dave Grohl. He's just a little less famous and doesn't play guitar, but that's not what the list is about right.
agree
I agree
Dave group is a much better drummer the Hawkins not the Hawkins isn't he good he's just not as good
Fuck autocorrect
I agree
Kelly Keagy of Night Ranger should be on this list.
Instead of the Monkee? Hell yeah. Sister Christian still popular.
Good call. I don't know how I forget him.
Levon Helm's muse didn't malfunction on band naming day. The Band takes its name from when they backed Bob Dylan during his "electric" tour, headlining as Bob Dylan and The Band. Check yourself before you wreck yourself WatchMojo.
They got their name when they were Ronnie Hawkins backup group.
Still a sh*t name though.
Suds They were The Band because hey all played several instruments and but Robbie Robertson ssng, they usually turned his microphone off. Levon wss the leader snd Robbe screwed everyone else by taking most of the money and all of the rights to the songs they wrote together.
Bruce Marshall, They were call The Hawks then. Then Dylan hired them to be his band. Then they decided to go by the band.
Pillgirl, not even close.
Best known as Elton John's drummer for the past 50 years, Nigel Olsson has a great voice, too. His backing vocals are excellent on so many EJ classics.
Peter Rivera of Motown's band Rare Earth deserves a BIG mention!
Totally agree.
Oh my gosh,heck yes!!
Yeah Get Ready rocks amazing song he's brilliant
No I'm not a musician but I am a big Hotel California fan
OK, well, Phil Collins is from England and had many hit records with Genesis (almost every song on the "Invisable Touch" album was also a top ten hit) and then many big hits on his own as a solo artist. So in his own right, Phil Collins is just as big a hit maker and star as Don Henley and the Eagles.
Ok well that's your opinion. Btw I am American.
"The Band" name was not a lapse of imagination - they were called that because in their early days they were a backing band, in fact THE BAND everybody wanted
And they were a true band, everyone wrote, everyone sang and everyone of them could play multiple instruments. They were THE BAND.
My top 3 are Roger Taylor, Phil Collins and Don Henley!
Yes,even Phil himself is on record saying how much the other members contributed to the band.
@@HansJaussmann Nah. And Then There Were Three and Duke are amazing records.
Dude without Phil Genesis just isn't the same. He was Genesis

Reggie Crawford Everyone who knows who The Band is, will tell you Levon Helm should be #1
But these are young folks uploads and I’m in my 50s ...I may be old, but I saw all the good bands 🙌🏻

Definitely Don Brewer should be in the top 5. One of the most underrated musicians ever. Along with Gil Moore from Triumph.
