  • "Wilhelmus van Nassouwe" or "Het Wilhelmus" is the national anthem of the Netherlands, dating back from 1572, it was not recognized as the national anthem until 1932. Mostly because it was popular with most Dutch people.
    Announcer Bert Garthoff gained fame by concluding NIROM's broadcasts on the day of the surrender to Japan on 8 March 1942 with the words "Listeners we're closing now. Farewell, until better days."
