That's impressive by any standards
U want a bullet
Sherrock threw out of her skin but the 148 finish followed by an 11darter was as good as it gets from Greaves! Bloody good darts match.
@@johnroberts8512 absolutely! Class by any metric
The fact the announcer was so disgusted by the crowd reacting to an incredible 148 checkout to save the leg, and acting like it threw Sherrock off... She has played at the Ally Pally where the crowd gets incredibly raucous, she's a professional, she should be able to play through that. I'm disappointed at the announcer for making that incredible last leg of darts thrown by Beau seem like it was because of the crowd.
Spot on, they didn't even commentate any of the last leg! They barely stopped banging on about it by the time Beau checked out...
Well said, these commentators are absolute tossers. It’s all ‘fallon is so amazing’ when her opponents are getting booed and jeered by the crowd on the stage tournaments. Disgusting from that clown.
The cheer after the 148 made it an even better moment for me.
They ramble on about it a bit too long, but they're technically right. This isn't a huge event in front of fans with constant noise (that you can ignore rather easily), it's akin to a Players Championship, and there relative silence is mandatory. Every unexpected noise can be pivotal.
As if this event wasn't dry enough
Great final & well done to them both.
107.86 avg is just incredible.
Congrats Beau.
Gotta love the darts 🎯
Get over it, they cheered because it was a great 148 checkout.
Wouldn't be so quick to mention a crowd booing someone who's playing Sherrock.
exactly, people are not like a robot. sport is emotion and it was just a wow moment !! this proves how much the pdc loves Fallon . its just outstanding that a teenager do this under the biggest pressure. really love it
duuude, they were just "supporting" Sherrock, how did you fail to recognise that?🤡
The worst thing is that they were waffling on about it for the entirity of the next leg, basically completely ignoring the fact that Greaves was producing an 11 darter.
yes but the issue is that at these particular events, players effectively have their manager and a plus 1 attending. that aside there are no supporters present, which is why those watching on the screen, which is just about 4-5 metres away, should contain their excitement. the rules are strict at these events, but for a reason.
@@czechdronepilot7201 oh get over it. So they cheered after the 148, big deal! You can't tell me that it was worth rambling about from the commentator? It was a brilliant out & clutch. Give props & respect where it's due 👏🏽 💪🏽
She is something special, love to see her on the big stage soon
she's brilliant different gravy
She'll be in the world's if she outperforms Sherrock this afternoon
I just love her spirit when she plays, the fact she’s just 18 & already been through Dartitus is amazing….may there be plenty more battles between these two, pioneering the modern Womens game alongside Lisa/Deta/Trina (the old guard) ! 😀👍🏿🙏
Look at this bitter 😂😂
@@FreezePlayz1 Sherrock was just knocked out in the last 16, so Greaves in the World Championships.
something i've been calling all year as Beau Greaves is the number one woman in the world. Now that she has came to play in the PDC ou are seeing it first hand.
@Mind Games Results just may change that one day!!!!
@@athruz824 I doubt it, the public haven't taken to Lisa Ashton when she was champion and I think it'll be the same with Beau, she will have a following but not like Sherrock who is very popular especially on stage in front of thousands, It will be interesting to see how the crowd responds when Beau plays at the Ally Pally, she might get a similar response to that of Lisa Ashton?
Fallon >> 😍
It’s like the commentators were angry that Greaves hit that 148 to go 4-3 up so they were trying everything to take it away from her, it was so obvious they wanted Sherrock to win just like they do on Sky
Yeah they never condemn the thousands of idiot drunk depraved fans who boo the hell out of Sherrock’s opponents on the stage events
Why would they want her to win?
@@gothicgolem2947 Marketing
Spot on
I think Beau Greaves will be the first lady darts thrower to hit a televised nine dart finish. Beau is also the type of thrower who could really cause some damage in major competitions, good luck to her, I really enjoy watching her play darts.
Excited to see her match against O'connor next week I hope she gets the job done 🤞 32-0 streak at the moment
107.86 average! played outstanding!!
those magnetic boards are pretty impressive
@@mattsmith1173 what you waffling on about Matt?
The 148 sublime as Fallon was on the move!
I think Beau is going to be the Phil Taylor of the women's game, absolutely brilliant
Chubby and throws darts at a board… tbf you could be on to something there mate
@@KS-jn5pv think you've missed the point . Grow up 😂😂
I was coming down here to say just that!
She can hold her own against the top men with averages like hers.
@@desmondmoore8679 absolutely and the timing of her finishing . She gets the big check outs just when she needs them . Top player
Surprised we didn't hear at the end how it was unfair that Greaves had the audacity to not let Sherrock win.
AND the audacity to deny Sherrock a place at the World Championship!
Serious note: Sherrock is nothing special. Not in terms of her darts or her personality.
Why do you haters even bother watching? Been a good game like that and all you can do is try take shots at Fallon? Dull as anything
@@xtheamazingax no she’s only the best women performer on tv against men of all time so far 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@xtheamazingax she is the Person who brought Woman Darts on the Map
@@jacob4690 I'm not having a pop at Sherrock, it was a pop at the commentary after Greaves' 148 checkout. Fallon's had the pleasure of having a crowd fully behind her in nearly every match, booing the opponent too etc.
Greaves hits a great checkout and it's frowned upon there are cheers in the background.
A 107.86 average from a female player?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS, BEAU GREAVES?!?
That is utterly incredible stuff!
107 from anyone is pretty special, man or woman.
@@scottwilkinson3575 especially in a final, after many rounds played and with the burden that in this game she might lose her chance to qualify for the Ally Pally. And with an opponent hitting her own finishes very well like Fallon, she performed the best average of her life and actually the best ever scored by a woman in professional darts.
And 107,86 is absolute world class, even among men. I think could be a record for any 18 year old, male or female (though MvG might have been a bit Higher)
I guess she might , like Judith Polgar in chess, stop playing in women's events all together soon, as it poses no real challenge at all for her, and trying to win mayor male events , which is possible regading her young age. Even now she might enter the Top 50, and there is much space to improve. And look at her technique. It is very good and obviously already very stable.
@@schusterlehrling I'm fairly certain Ms. Greaves will have a pretty deep run at the World Championship later this year...
@@scottwilkinson3575 If you are suggesting we stop referring to her as a woman then you are guilty of far worse discrimination so shame on you
@@schusterlehrling 107,86 is absolute world class, even among men? Well, Phil Taylor was doing averages like this more than 20 years ago. For instance, his average in the 2001 World Final was almost exactly the same as this, but it was over 7 sets, not just 8 legs. He averaged over 106 in the 1997 World Matchplay final, again over 27 legs, not just 8. He averaged 112 over 23 legs against Chris Mason in the 2002 Matchplay, 111 over 7 sets against Shayne Burgess in the 2002 world championship, 113 against Gary Mawson in the 1997 World Matchplay, 112 in the first 15 legs of the 2000 World Matchplay final against Alan Warriner and 102 with a double to start against Peter Evison in the 1999 World Grand Prix. So no, 107,86 definitely isn't world class among men anymore as Phil Taylor was doing this and more over much longer matches literally 20-25 years ago!
Well played by both Beau and Fallon.
Bang!! 8 legs in 14mins- it was like a walk in the park for these two talented ladies 👌
So a cheer for a big checkout is bad is it? Well hopefully this means the PDC will start bringing up the constant boos Sherrock's opponents get when she plays, yeah?
Thank goodness Sherrock won't be at this year's Worlds...
@@LOLMAN9538 aged well
Greaves winning leg 140 ,140 ,140 then 81 out in 11 darts and all the commentators are on about is ruddy Sherrock
absolutely right. sensational last 14 darts starting with the 148
She's the absolute real deal
They're cheering because Beau is a sublime talent and anything is possible with her, Sherrock is always being pushed to sell tickets when she isn't the best player in the field. "its disappointing Fallon wouldn't have not heard that" oh shut up.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 she was pushed as she won games at the world which no other has done before you’re just a hater 🥱🥱
@@jacob4690 Beau will likely do the same. And with her it won't be a fluke.
@@sickpup820 nothing Fallon has done is a fluke..
had to laugh at commentary about the roar the only reason Fallon won her games in the world's was coz of the crowd hypocritical?🤔
yeah what was he moaning about?! just shows what an epic checkout that was, that it got an audible response from the onlookers. How was it 'unfair' to fallon?
🎯
Your spot on
Not the point at all bud. Alot of Fallon haters here for sure. All of these dart players play in a very quiet environment, so all of sudden you hear people cheering for your opponent's out shot and your brain starts thinking about the wrong things and boom game over. They were exactly right. Like its or not Fallon is the only one capable of keeping up with Beau.
@@dirtyharry2029 I wldnt say I hate her and I wldnt say I was your bud , bud
What an unbelievable standard, hats off to both players and as a long term Darts Fan, I am so happy seeing the women rushing the scene.
Also seeing youngsters like Greaves and Rock, I am Just stunned!
107 🤯
This is just incredible
Finally a pdc world championship at Ally Pally without Sherrock, which means without unjustified hype and without an unfair crowd
She didn't qualify in 2021 either but there was no crowd then
No one is going to want to draw her. No one. I guarantee that the hype and energy around her will be significant because she is so cool under pressure.
But crowd still Will be unfair towards non-english players and they Will be hyping all proEnglish
Finally two watchable darts throws in a womans final^^ very well deserved win and very unprofessional by Sherrock for giving up after getting a break of throw for the first time in the entire match. That's the wrong mindset but other than that I really enjoyed that final
How do u know she gave up
@@gothicgolem2947 Her body language in the last leg was pretty telling, but i suppose you're right we do not know her exact mindset at that moment
The highest average in Women‘s Series history in the most important match in Women‘s Series history (together with the Sherrock - Hedman fight for a place in the World Championship). Incredible. What a match. And she is only 18 years old. Looking forward to see what she and Sherrock and Ashton can do in the world of darts.
Beau is 18 I believe
@@alanaherne6278 Indeed she is, and she'll still be 18 when the World Champs finishes early next year!
@@alanaherne6278 You‘re right. She is 18
I was following Beau Greaves for a while. When the Women Series started, I was very disappointed that she did not play. I was happy when I heard she will play the last 8 tournaments. I hoped she would win all and qualify for the worlds. However, I was thinking it was unlikely. When she won her first 4 tournaments I started thinking, that its possible. And after the sixth in a row, I was sure she would go on and win the last two as well. So happy for her 😊
sharon fellock chose to be humiliated on the world tour rather than compete on the women's tour so i'm delighted that beau got the world championship place instead. and the commentators disappointed that those watching gasped in admiration of beau's 148 checkout?? unreal
Wish that the commentator would stop moaning about that 148 shot and there being a gasp from the onlookers surely they are aloud to make some noise as they did say that there is usually a bit of noise in these situations
Michael Smith in an interview in that historic Maddison Sqaure Garden event said Fallon was the biggest draw in darts for a reason. He said not only did she qualify for the World Series and earn her place but she a trailblazer who was bringing more money, fans and sponsors for everyone. She smashed the glass ceiling, changed the game and will continue to so. This is her legacy in action, Beau Grieves will go to the Worlds and will shine just as Fallon did. Fallon will finish her incredible season in the Grand Slam. Hopefully in a few months both Fallon and Beau will get their Tour Cards and take darts to even bigger heights.
One of the best matches I’ve ever seen
Great performance by both ladies.
Very impressive darts.
Sherrock is a great player but now there is a new champion that will dominate the women's league for many years to come. Such a calm thrower that lets nothing bother her. Many more records by this lady will be broken or even shattered.
Excellent shooting I'm happy for her that high shot out she just relaxed and kick butt after that
Fantastic darts by both players
Imagine what they could do in RedzoneDarts that new football dartboard game!
Fantastic performance.
Nice to see someone bring Sherrock back down to earth tbh. Don't rate her as much as all the hype. Women's darts has a good future but not with Sherrock at the forefront. Also had to turn the volume off, the commentators didn't stop rambling on.
Great match....the only STAIN being the REBUKE of a crowd celebrating a wonderful 148 checkout. If the celebration of a wonderful checkout must be silenced for fear of offending the opponent....that is the opponents problem. I give Fallon more credit than that of a spoiled child. I thought it was a great match & respect both of their fantastic talents.
The rules are clear in PDC floor events. People, including players playing have to be quiet. In fact Murphy's co-commentator had earlier remarked how quiet the people watching on a nearby screen were.
He shouldn't have gone on about it as much as he did. Clearly a response to a great outshot at a crucial time, and they'd all have been warned to stay quiet.
It wasn't even a celebration though! They were not cheering or chanting Beau's name, it was more like gasps of awe. It was an epic checkout that got an unexpected reaction, but it was not unfair to any player...
If she keeps playing like that anything is possible. And don't forget that she's a reigning world champion
Not in the PDC she isn't. Big difference.
@@Zarkava8 Still a World Champion.
I am really seeing how Beau is world champ
Beau wins the match with an 11 darter but the commentators just moan about the spectators cheering, there were no other games in play so it doesn't put anyone off, it's irrelevent
Well done on great night it was pressure watching you play well keep good work up your star all best for rest of years.
Greatest women's darts match of all time
"Not fair on Fallon Sherrock" Is this guy having a laugh? People were reacting to sheer brilliance from Beau and this clown expected the onlookers to behave like robots?
Beau on a different planet. Fantastic darts from both players in fairness but that 148 finish from Beau was the end for Fallon, her mind was gone.
Agreed. I was following live on Darts Connect and saw Fallon charging and then just broken by that check out. It was over. Just wow.
Yes, it wasn't just the 148. She'd missed two opportunities to break. 100 at 2-2, didn't get a dart at a double. 3-3, 181 after 6, hit t20, then no trebles and missed the big single so didn't even get the bull chance. Add in the roar of support for Greaves from people watching, and brain scrambled. Maybe knowing there was WS20 to come meant she did 't work to recompose. Bad start, Greaves 140 and flight.
Excellent performance of Greaves! Tho i think it was a LOUSY performance of the commentators! They were speaking more about the pressure and the expectations and this and that, instead of actually commenting the actual game! Crap!
Wow that was incredible
What an amazing talent!! Come on Beau!!!
Yep sherrock supporters it's natural to cheer for any three dart checkout let alone a 148 checkout especially when it was crucial if she didn't instead of being 4/3 up she could of been 3/4 down with Fallon starting to win the match so that was worth the cheers
That's truly top class darts from beau there
That 148!! 😲
Beau is leagues ahead!
What a standard, unreal game
Great darts ladies💪
Can someone tell me why i cant see the staristic of the Women.
I want to see waht average the play + double rate.
beau has got the best throwing technique in women's darts

Woman do not trow like and act like this. No gimmic trow, no high tension, on the person.
If she is realy she, hands down she will be the best ever. Can even compete with men
@@mtbtrax1003 if she lost half a hundredweight she'd be pretty good looking i reckon
Well it seems she is a real lady, and by that the best ever.
She can compete with the guys with this level and style.
Never i tought this would happen, come lady challenge the guys.
I think you might have it in you to become overall world champ
Good standard which can only bode well for the women’s game. There were cheers in a Price game not so long ago so I don’t think that was such a big deal but the 148 appeared to kill off the Sherrock challenge. I think the match needed a few more legs.
It's atrocious that this was Best of 9 legs!
It is literally the best in the world against each other - At the very least use the men's format for the Final - Best of 15!
I would prefer the finals to be best of 19, but I would take best of 15.
Do you know that they play two tournaments in one day?
It's 2 tournaments in a day and tournament averages are low 60s, so their games are fewer legs. Best of 7, and the Best of 9 in semis and finals. Challenge Tour is best of 9 and that is generally a higher standard.
I think Fallon's average must have been very good too, loads of 180's and 140's in this great match from both ladies and clinical finishing in every leg. They hardly gave each other an inch.
Great for darts.
All darters get their experience from pubs/ clubs etc so they should be used to the background noise when they play .. few folk appreciating a 148 checkout shouldn't of put her off one bit

Agree with many of the comments here: commentators made too much of the crowd reaction was which was appreciative not derogatory or negative in any way towards FS. I don't think Fallon would complain either; she was beaten by a better player on the day. It's a shame the commentary detracted from the quality of the shot out, the last leg & the brilliance of Beau Greaves overall. Great game of darts from both ladies imo 👏👏👏
Fallon's got the biggest snatch in darts since Jocky Wilson

I would've cheered too watching that 148 checkout on a big screen TV and knowing who the better more famous player is suppose to be.
