- The Nicolai Argon GTB Trail Hardtail comes with one of the best mountain bike frames made of aluminum. With the Argon GTB, the German MTB brand Nicolai has a great bike for cross-country, marathon, down-country, trail, all-mountain and light enduro use in its program. The stable aluminum frame of the 29 inch hardtail is prepared for a Gates belt drive and cuts a fine figure on every mountain bike tour. The Nicolai hardtail is made for a world of mtb Dreambuild video. The 29 inch bike rolls on DT Swiss rims and wide Pirelli tires. The Pirelli Scorpion trail bike tires offer the necessary grip in every situation in a tubeless setup. A lightweight SR Suntour suspension fork with a carbon crown and a wide OneUp handlebar made of carbon guide the mountain bike over the trail. A One Up stem and a One Up dropper post can also be found on the custom bike. The Nicolai Argon GTB is powered by a Gates Carbon Drive belt and a Rohloff Speedhub gearbox. The Rohloff gear hub and the Gates belt make the Nicolai Trail Hardtail a maintenance free 29 inch bike. The dream bike is stopped by Magura MT Trail brakes. Hard to tell since it's an absolute custom-build. Might be around 8-9k EUR...

I guess it never dawned on me that a belt drive needs an abbreviated frame to work...definitely limits your options. Also holy cables batman....with AXS these days I run only two cables and love the clean uncluttered look better then this spaghetti farm.
Yes it's a downside of IGH. Also, a lot of the weight goes to the rear of the bike, which makes a big difference if you're used to rear mechs.
