Since I'm viewing this a month since, you may already have been informed that you got into a banca (bangka, spelled locally, wooden boat); the contraptions on the side are outriggers for additional bouyancy and, yes, balance because you do go out in the ocean and waves and weather above can be tricky :) Id the monitor lizards till there? Wow, it's been years since we went (def. before the pandemic), and I see some changes made. Did they show you the "Cathedral" in your underground river tour? Anyhow, so good to see you take the tour. What was it again-…memories, not dreams. Safe travels!

Palawan is really stunning. Of all the places I’ve visited in the Philippines, El Nido is number 1, Boracay is number 2, and guess what my number 3 is: Hulugan Falls in Luisiana, Laguna. I highly recommend you guys check that out once you’re back in Manila. Just a 3hr bus ride from Manila. ❤

Lol at the tour guide's mechanical voice. 😂 Can't wait to see more of your Palawan adventure. The weather may be gloomy most of the time, but it's wonderful how you guys don't let it bother you. dont know if you're still in puerto princesa but there is a unique prison there where prisoners convicted of heinous crime just roam around and live almost like normal lives. not really a common tourist attraction but if you're up to it. you could check it out
