This is crazy- I am in this video, at the beginning: I am "Lindsey" so here is just a little update: a year later, I am off the streets and in a program called the Haven here in Tucson for substance abuse. I am clean now, and I probably have put on 30 pounds since this was recorded (damn I was skinny a year ago!) Speaking from my experience on the streets, the kindness of strangers, not as much the free stuff but just being treated like an actual human being and not like garbage, makes such a huge difference in terms of giving hope to the hopeless. Thank you again! (I like how dude edited out when I suspiciously questioned him about his camera-- I didn't know my homeless ass would end up on UA-cam till later!! Oh well, it's cool to have a record of where I was and how far I've come since then.) ❤

that cigar tho. really appreciate that, indeed some people will say its bad its not good, dont feed them with cigar. but if only they know, when you homeless, you choose cigar rather than food because of the stress relieve.

Awe. Thank you so much Michael for giving him the cigarettes that I sent ❤️. I know it’s not good for them, but when you don’t have much, things like that are everything to them. Plus, at the Indian Reservation store, they’re only $9 for a whole bag of them. I was cringing every time I seen you paying $9 a pack for them lol. Next time I go up, I’ll grab some more for them.

@@Young_buck2423 We go to a place up in Limestone, New York called called Papa’s Place. You can get a whole bag of 200 for $9 bucks. I don’t smoke anymore, but my mom does, so she makes the 3 hour trip a few times a year and stocks up on them. I seen Michael always buying them packs of cigarettes and thought I could save him a few bucks buy buying them in the bags.

I know they aren't good either, but if it puts a little pep in their step , keeps them focused and centered, brings a little happiness and maybe even keeps them from things that might be not good and tempting, then there is nothing wrong with it . That little gesture goes so far. You are so kind. Let the trolls take their comments elsewhere.

He would rather give them smokes than money. Mike I have seen you buy packs here an there. Hope you don't make that a habit. Cause the more you have the more you smoke. When you are in a bad situation. It helps keep your mind off bad stuff. But it just another problem you have. Just a heads up coming from a smoker. I roll my own smokes and I smoke twice as much. If they get used to smoking that much they be asking for more. Not trying to tell you what to do. Just advice. Keep up the love, Michael.
@Jay Dog ppl like you is what is wrong with the world. Judging ppl you don't know. 80% of homeless don't use drugs. An are hard works. It's very hard to survive on the streets. They work harder than ppl with jobs. Finding food,water and places to sleep in peace. You don't know their stories. You must be a dumb kid. I have seen ppl with college degrees on the streets and ppl that were millionaire's. It only takes one bad thing to happen. An you can be in that situation. Most are ppl with health problems an not able to work a job. Alot have mental health problems. You maybe in good health one day and bad the next that's life.
With the price of cigarettes today. I know these people really appreciated the smokes. In the 50s my mom would give me 50 cents to go buy her two packs of Lucky Strikes. Now I think they run close to $8.00 a pack.😱

So sad that so many good hearted, polite and thankful people are left on the streets while others walk by and do nothing. Just like the depression, children were walked by and no noticed. Michael does an amazing job supporting others even if they just need to talk to someone.

Giving them their dignity back is something that eases the hearts and minds of strangers around the world. It's why I believe our true nature is to be good. We may partake in violence and evils, yet many times we do so in defense of what we hold dear, fear taking us and driving people to desperation. Though, ultimately it is always good that prevails.

You know those cardboard things like under the canned goods and mayonnaise for example in the stores? You see the homeless people "flying a sign", the cardboard sign, typically it's all wrinkled up and dirty.
You keep a couple of those cardboard Lids in the front seat of your car with a very heavy duty wide Sharpie marker. Once you see what they have written on their sign, you copy it down on one of those lids, and give it to them. Cost nothing,.. except maybe the marker🤷♂️🌻
