Copiague MVA w/ OT & Entrapment. Campagnoli Avenue. 06/05/23

At approximately 21:00 hours on June 5th, 2023 the Copiague Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with reports of an overturn and entrapment in front of 895 Campagnoli Avenue cross of Verrazano Avenue. Upon arrival of units they had a single sedan on its side with one patient still trapped inside, firefighters had stabilized the Lexus sedan by using struts on both sides of the auto. Members involved in the extrication of the patient had cut the windshield to extricate the patient. Engine 1-3-10 pulled a single dry line for protection. Once the patient was extricated they were transferred to EMS crews that were standing by. The vehicle had struck a parked car. The patient was transported to a local area hospital. Units operated under the command of the Chief of The Copiague Fire Department Kyle Miller. (1-3-30)
