Then there's the good-quality mechanical 8-day Smiths movements that were often used in car clocks, but I have a few mantel clocks with the 'good' movement. My so-called 8-day Smiths wall clock actually runs for longer than 8-days.
Good for you! How did you get it working? There are companies in London and also Carlton Clocks who could overhaul it, but at some cost. I got a nice Mauthe 8-day kitchen wall clock working after oiling it and coaxing it past the sticky bit, as it was fully wound and spring probably 'set'. I like these clocks - cuties arent' they? Often found in offices I'd say.
The only thing wrong with it was that the wiring was a bit dodgy and that the plug had a loose wire hanging out of it, but apart from that, it was working fine.
@gaiuscoleman8815 The only difficult thing was trying to start it after assembling it all I had to disassemble and assemble the plug three times because it objected to the fuses I put in it I first tried a 3 amp fuse and it didn't work then a 5 amp fuse and it didn't work then tried a 13 amp fuse and it worked.
Love these little Sectrics! I have an alarm clock that i tried to fix but ended up short circuiting my house! Also, would you be interested in joining my Clock Community Discord server? We have many collectors from all around the world and we’d love to have you as a member! If you’d like to join i can send the link. Thanks, Ralph!

Дякую вам за працю 😊❤
I've had a Genalex and you do of course get the ones twice as big in a Bakelite case as what you're showing here.
