Ha ha ha - no experience with brothels myself, I'll have to take your word for it🤣 Definitely lots of undersized crabs in this river system. Take care, Brad👍
Thanks for another great video. Quantity over quality today, but the two keepers are nothing to sneeze at. Can't wait to see what you get up to next video.
That’s one healthy creek Brad, the keeper ratio is a bit low but a feed is a feed. Thanks again for sharing with us another method of getting a few Crabs. 👍🏼👍🏼
Wow 2 beauties 🥰🥰 I love the way you are so diligent with choosing your crabs - I wish others would follow you so we will have crabs for many years but unfortunately some people just don't care . Cheers Denise Geebung Brisbane
Alot of work for 2 nice crabs Brad. Good to see there's plenty of crabs in the creek still. Funny they did look like cockroaches running around everywhere. 🦀🦀🦀 You definately go above and beyond with your videos. 👍
Yes, it has been a while since the last video. Hoping for more favourable conditions to make more regular videos over the coming months. Thanks heaps for your support! Cheers, Brad👍
G'day mate. I must say that you are a brave man walking in that grass just in your ' Jimmy Wongs ". Nice pair of crabs out of all of those crabs. They're obviously breeding well. I was thinking on that last pot, one foot wrong and you'll be arse up on that mud. Its such unforgiving mongrel stuff.
I whole heartedly agree! I need to be mindful of what I'm doing the whole time to avoid a dangerous situation! If I was to fall down that steep bank, who knows what's waiting at the bottom for an easy feed! I greatly appreciate your comment. Take care, Brad👍
Sick video brad. Heading out to maggie this weekend. What bait do you recommend for trout and other good eating species around there. And where would you recommend chasing makkies near maggie and with what lure
Can't go wrong with the humble pilchard for bait! To catch a mackerel try trolling a Flatz Ratz or cast a metal slice at any of the shipping pilons. Watch out for shipping while fishing in and around the channel! Let me know how you go with the fishing. Cheers, Brad👍
@@returnoutdoors2210 G'day brad. Went out to Maggie yesterday but struggled a bit. Caught a few good makkys but no luck on trout or anything. THey were biting but we either couldn't hook them or we got snagged on rocks. Any tips. Were getting some nice bites just couldn't get them
Yes - I am certain there are snakes in the grass. I do keep a very good watch where I am placing my feet. Snakes on the river bank Crocs in the water, it certainly wise to be respectful of this environment. Cheers, Brad👍

Yes! They are to be called Cockroaches , but we eat them as delicacy and they clean out scraps from other species including humans! Please give them some respect as Yabbies. Cheers. Ps : Never heard they are called Cockroaches down the South .. like Melbourne or Adelaide! =))
Too true, mud crabs do eat all the left over scraps from humans and other species just like a cockroach! You have now heard them humorously referred to as the cockroach of the creek for the first time here - no disrespect intended to the eating quality of the mud crab. Cheers, Brad👍
It's always a concern when leaving pots overnight, in most locations! It was nice to return the next morning to see they hadn't been touched! Thanks for your comment. 👍
Hey Brad , that was amazing ! the ecosystem is in great shape looking at the amount of undersized mud crabs 🦀 in your pots 👍😀 I believe you live in far north Queensland ? what a beautiful pristine environment . I would never try those muddies bare foot 😂 i know you need to feel with your toes to attach the string ! you are a brave man . Thankyou keep safe out there . Cheers Geoff 👍😀
I am in North Queensland and fortunate to have access to some great fisheries! I'm always nervous about one slip of the toe and the crabs getting a feed of fresh meat😄. Thanks heaps for your support, I great value your comment. Cheers, Brad👍

Good luck with the Blue Swimmers, hopefully they are around in good numbers. I was definitely mindful not to get too close to the water - given I had bait soaking there over night! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Take care, Brad👍
Yes, I noticed my hands were shaky in the video. I was puffing pretty hard after pulling those pots up the bank and running around shifting the camera! I genuinely appreciate you noticing and taking the time to share. Thanks for connecting. Take care, Brad👍

How is it a waste? The last crab I boiled was consumed down to the swimmers, if you are inferring that everyone needs to be a Michelin star chef and do Singapore crab, I think you're missing the point of these videos.
Wow! I haven't seen so many undesirable crabs in one place outside of brothels. Glad you got a couple of keepers.
