  • After someone requested this, I had to give it a listen. I love the Who's original version, and now I also love the Sex Pistols' take on it. They definitely made it their own by changing some lyrics and by giving it a shot of punk. I've never thought about how similar both bands are, at least attitude wise.
    Thanks for watching!

If you enjoyed this you should also listen to their cover of ‘Roadrunner’ from the rock n roll swindle. It starts with John not being able to remember the words all captured for your enjoyment

A kick in the head track that you would have thought might have melted opinions after all these years..........but to hell with that.

Recorded at a similar time. Stepping stone and don't give me no lip child. Arguably my favourite pistols track.

Completely new to me. Love the Who's version but nice to hear this - the Sex Pistols stay true to their sound with this cover version. If you've not heard it, the Pistols cover of the Monkees, '[I'm not your] Steppin' Stone ' is kinda great too.

It's pretty crap, like most of the things they recorded outside the Bollocks. So you dont hear of it much.
Said to have been the first song they played at their first gig, and the only song they played, over and over. And audience members could get on stage and sing it themselves.
Debatably, this song defined the rest of Sex Pistols and Punk Rock
