My dad & his buddies built & raced BB/GD's for about 10yrs. Early 60's to early 70's. Used a cast iron 392 hemi, never ran a Donovan, 6-71 blower. Had over 240 Win trophies. They were running low 7's in the 1/4mi when they quit. Built their own chassis at a local chassis shop. I still remember push starting it riding in the push truck.
Like I previously said, nice looking period correct looking car. Looks like a ex AA/FD from the 90's when keeping the car looking nostalgic meant something before the deep pocket current crop of modern top fuel guys lobbied for rule changing and totally"F"d up that class with all the over the top B.S. and performance increase. Good job on keeping you A/GD alive and looking the part with no computers, throttle stops ect....have fun because winning isnt eveything but simplicity and keeping the old school theme is👍👍👍
I would put some 5 spoke rims on it too, but there aren’t many around. I’ve been looking for a set of magnesium wheels for a few years. The guys who have them just won’t sell. If you have a set of rims, please let me know.
Thanks Stan. Yes, Norm was quite the chassis builder from what I can see. This car runs straight and true - more than I could ask for. The chassis is 185" long.
Absolutely beautiful....and since my first drag race attended was in 64', Irwindale Raceway in So Cal, you're speaking my language. Good luck in the coming years, wishing you much success and especially, much FUN!!! ✌😎
looks like a lot of fun, well done

Captures the essence of a front engine dragster 100%. Well done!
It's a beauty!
Sweet digger !!!!
Sweet
Nice work!!
Would change my rear rims to American Racing Wheels five Star like in the 60s Dragsters.

Nice ,, how does it track ? Straight pull or hooks left ? Just wondering , Best Wishes 🙏
After I made a few passes and found the groove (this thing is so narrow) it went straight as an arrow. 7.90’s at 169+ MPH
Very nice car. Norm definitely knew how to build dragsters and altered. What’s the wheelbase on you digger?
