  • Today, we operate across the world to ensure warfighters' success in cyberspace. But how did we get where we are now?
In 1960, the Defense Communications Agency was established to modernize how our military shared vital information. As technology quickly advanced and the Cold War brought new threats, DCA rose to the challenge. Then, in 1991, DCA became the Defense Information Systems Agency and continued its legacy of innovation and mission to support our nation across all warfighting domains.
