This video is so catchy that, despite not having watched it for a couple of years, I just WHAMMED myself by remembering it in the middle of an otherwise regular conversation. It's actually a great arrangement. The perfect trumpet section "doot" gets me every time.
I also come back to it and reshare this every year for the same reason. It puts a smile on my face. Considering my past history of depression, this actually lifts me up in an awkward way!

It's really not though. Opera singers have to take language diction (i.e. pronunciation) classes at music school, like not just Italian but specifically Italian diction. And German. And French. Because that's what most classical music is written in. European opera singers also learn those same languages, and not English.
Incredible the depths some professionals will stoop to in order to chase the popular zeitgeist. Populism is inherently embarrassing, especially in retrospect, but even more so when attempted by otherwise talented people.
