- Not all heroes wear capes. Buddy comes in golden fur, luckily for us he was here to save us from the perilous doom of the mega slide! He was just having so much fun himself, this dog loves the crazy things! He does love to do everything possible to protect Ella and Shane's Mum. Golden retrievers are known for their intelligence and good nature, sometimes I think Buddy slid the scale more towards good nature and less on the intelligence side.....
I'm surprised all the dogs have been all over these inflatables and the balls we have and to date still not a single puncture!
Buddy is a wondrous spirit. The merciless teasing! He almost made it. What a great looking happy family. God Bless you.

Buddy doesn’t stop trying to climb up the slide even though it’s very slick. He just wants to be with his family and have a good time with them. He’s such a good dog. 👍🏼

@@judysamuels2585 Yes I agree. It’s taking advantage of Buddy’s enthusiasm and eagerness to do whatever is asked of him. I bet Buddy would do great at something like agility competition. He is smart and very athletic, as well as cooperative.

Yes, Shane has two sisters, Harley, and Ella. Ella is the younger one. Buddy was purchased for Ella because she’d always wanted a Golden Retriever since Shane had one before. Buddy lives with Ella and their mother, but comes to visit the Matthews family occasionally. Harley lives apart from their mother and Ella. She was known to be Phil’s favorite human. 😍 There are videos of her visiting the family while Phil was still alive and he absolutely loved Harley so much.

It always seems to be more about the dog than the children
You shouldn’t have let Buddy go up the slide like that it’s extremely bad for his joints. You can see his legs are splayed as he comes down the slide trying to get up, which traps his heart, when a dogs front legs are pulled out like that. Never mind the impact his back legs are taking with the strain of trying to get up. However, I know you’d NEVER intentionally cause Buddy or any dog harm like that it was more an in your moment bad choice, which we all can make. I just know first hand the damage such an action can cause, from pulled or torn ligaments, to misaligned joints, to at worse heart damage, even when directly after everything looks fine. I’m just disappointed and surprised you’d encourage him to try and climb, ok in the first instance you couldn’t see from the top how his legs were splayed coming back down, or the effort his back legs were taking trying to climb, but then you could see from the bottom, and still continued to encourage him to try.
