O M G!!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! i was searching all over the internet to find any additional columns beams trusses ect... couldn't find any good to load, and then, you showing Load Family Autodesk and my brain literally exploded. So old and so stupid to not go and check it earlier. So from now on, You have a Polish friend in me :D
Really interesting approach on the coping! Used to do it one by one, which usually resulted in getting frustrated and going back to modeling in place with a generic family! 😅 Great to know, thanks!
haha! So glad it helped!
Hello, could you teach me how to configure the scroll button of mouse to move on iPad when use Revit?
It is the only thing that I have not been able to do. In your video where on your iPad you use your computer you can rotate the model of revit using the scroll of the mouse. I have looked for a way to do it and I have not been able to do it, when I press the scroll what it does is selecting instead of move, please help me, it's something I haven't been able to solve in a long time and I'm frustrated.
Sorta framing related question, would love to know if you have an answer. What is the best way to get total plywood sheets needed for roof sheathing? I can’t find an answer anywhere. Something more plug and play rather than creating a bunch of different formulas in a schedule. Thanks!
You can try modeling them manually with things like curtain panels/walls.... but, I would look into plugins for Revit made specifically for what you are trying to do (like MWF Pro Wood, and AGACAD wood framing tools).
@@TheRevitKid thanks for the suggestion! I work for a National Homebuilder so modeling them out won’t work so well with all the different plans we have. But I will look into MWF!!
Thank youu
Cheers!
the question regarding the plate moving, it possible maybe if you lock the reference plane of the plate to the vertical framing members while in group mode.
Unfortunately, that still doesn't hold... you need your families to host to a level and not an object/vertical plane for groups to NOT break...usually.
Sir,how to make coping distance as 0?
Go metric, then Coping distance can be set to "0".
Well then…. Power to the metric people!
We can't get truss members to "unpin". What are we missing?
Can you not select the webs at all? If not, check the "Select Pinned Elements" on/off toggle on the bottom right....
