- Henna is a healthier option for hair colouring, it dosen't contain harsh chemicals like other hair dyes. this does not damage my nails. henna heals the conditiion of the nails but im not sure if this one does because after all its a black hair dye, it must have some chemicals to change the henna BLACK to begin with.
this is a muslim friendly idea. it wont effect prayers or wudhuk

It depends on how runny the henna is, its basicly powder mix with water, I think u have the idea of how long tht dries up, right? Mine was like 5 minutes, I believe. When my nails grow out, ill just put the henna paste on the area that I need. Or the whole nail because its black, it won't have that gradient effect

It does fade over time but very slowly you dont even realise the colour change ^_^ dont worry abt washing your hands because it'll still be black, i can guarantee you your nails would stay midnight black for a one month. it starts changing colour to a darrrrk darkk brown when your nails grow out, but thats when you wanna do some touching up anyway. ;D
If i use hair color like as (godrej expert original) it will effect my preyar or wudhu??
Guys, nails grow back. This is kinda like gel nails. in about 2 months her nails are gonna be completely plain.
I like the idea though, its less expensive than gels.

I really want to try the PERMANENT Henna. I mostly use the RIZWANA one on my nails. You have to sleep with it on your nails. It really comes out dark.

Why not? Nail polish makes my nails turns yellowish D: this is so much better for the nails, and I don't have to bother abt the colour chipping ^.^
using this wouldnt effect my wudhuk and my prayers :) The reason why one's prayers is not 'accepted' due to wearing nail polish is because during wudhuk, water cannot pass through the parts which is covered by the nail polish. using henna, the pigments is 'absorb' by the nail, not covering or coating it. n_n

creatornat The difference is, anything claiming to be pure henna, but producing a black dye on hair or skin, is not pure henna but rather contains the dangerous dye PPD. You can get a very, very deep, dark burgundy stain on skin or nails using pure henna if it's good quality fresh henna with a high lawsone content and you use the right trerps, but you will *never* get a true black from real henna.
Indigo is a plant-based dye, as is henna, and indigo produces a blue dye on fabrics (like jeans.) You can mix henna and indigo together to get brown hair colors, and you can even color your hair jet black if you do a two-step process using henna first then rinsing and using indigo second. But, the powdered dried indigo used for hair will not color skin or nails black or brown the way it does hair (there is a way to dye skin blue with indigo, but it has to be prepared differently and it only lasts about a day.)

memang ada campuran tapi sebab warna tu telah diserap, wudhuk masih sah. yang menyebabkan wudhuk tak sah kalau mana2 anggota badan kita yang di'salut' dengan benda2 macam nail polish, hairdye jenis yang tanggal, even cat minyak yang melekat pun wudhuk tk sah kan..:) apa apa yang menghalang air masuk la

Salaam! Could you do another video using red henna? Can we use other hair dye for our nails and would it make our wudhu permissible or only henna? I love to have red nails which is halal.
Wasalam the reason why coloured nails are non halal is because it's not allowing the wudu valid due to it being coated by a waterproof layer which is a nail polish, this is the concept that we all need to understand... But if the nails are not being coated and wudu reaches our actual nails then it is permissible. That being said, if henna coats the nails and acts like a waterproof barrier then it needs to be taken off during wudu for our wudu to be valid... You get me? It doesn't matter what you apply on the nails but if it's halal or haram is of your concerns, the reason why it's haram or halal must be understood first only then we can do things without hessitation. But to answer your question, you can either use red henna or hair dye for this method, both will work however henna would be a safer option because henna has less chemicals. The way it's applied is no different than this video :) thanks for watching!

It works! As long as it doesn't irritate your skin, it should be okay :) I did it to fill in my eyebrows, and I touch up every 3 days or so

It's permanent so you have to wait until your nails grow out and clip the color off. :)

To make sure no additives i mean, henna doesn't make your nails waterproof like polish so if it's natural indigo or henna it's okay

NOT a good idea to dye your nails permenantly. most times if for any reason you need surgery they need to check the nailbeds for oxegyn levels.
The nails are stained black. When the nails grow, it'll grow back to normal, the nails does not grow black! There would be no complication to check for oxygen level with this because the nails are not coated but it's stained

Articles online has also said one can get cancer using baby powder.. I understand that this isn't 'healthy' but compare it to gels that people often get, the nails gets extremely weak and brittle. Using henna that stains the nails, it grows back out without any problems. But if you still don't think it's a good idea then that alright too. Inglot has released a new range of nail polishes that are 'breathable' maybe you can check that one out? :)
this cannot be true, pure henna. 1st, the paste is black - henna paste is green or brownish green. Second, it colored the nails in, like, ten minutes - real henna paste has to be left on for hours and hours if you want deep stain, plus the color is lighter when paste is first washed off and darkens over a day or two. Instantly black = not pure henna. Third, it is true black in the video - closest to black you can get with true henna on nails is deep deep dark burgundy.
So, sorry to say, that is just chemical black hair dye (PPD) and is not safe to use on skin or nails.
