I personally don’t care about production and editing. A Fragrance channel should be all about honesty and content. Ramsey is by far the best fragrance UA-camr. His channel is for true fragheads. His passion and knowledge is unparalleled. Most UA-camrs are afraid to give an honest opinion for fear of upsetting brands and losing out on free bottles. You won’t find any of that on Ramsey’s channel.

Sorry Dan, disagree with you here. The production is like watching a 90’s QVC shopping channel. Very dated and bland. She lacks the personality for You tube IMO. Fancy sets and production teams can’t take away from the dull content. You tube should offer something unique to viewers not just a replication of big media corps. For me it’s about content and insight. the benchmark is Justin Copeland. Fragmental also a great creative content creator with on location videos. The fragrance Apprentice blew everyone out the park with his production, especially his Mugler documentary style video. That will never be beaten. And of course I really enjoy your content too, as you add humour and your own personality and taste to your content. You also aren’t worried about saying things that people might be offended by. Keep it real!!!

I wanted to be fair so I watched the entire thing though.
I had lots of other problems with it however, apart from the cringe inducing lounge style set and home shopping vibe.
Dan mentioned Greta is knowledgeable about perfume yet she gasped when her guest rubbed their wrists together after a spritz and exclaimed, “you’ll crush the notes”! -This is a silly old wives tale I wish would just die. 1) You’re not going to tear apart fragrance molecules by distributing a perfume. 2) There’s not enough heat generated to burn off the molecules either by rubbing your wrists together. 3) The molecules don’t come out of the bottle, or lay down on the skin in a specific order such that you’re going to mess up the scent by mixing them together. Afterall the fragrance IS literally mixed together, and mixes again each time the bottle is moved, either in the delivery process to the store or your home, along with every single time you pick it up and spray it. Fragrance simply dissipates in the order of molecule weight over time. That’s it. Anytime you hear an influencer spouting such nonsense you know it’s time to question their critical thinking skills.
Then Greta’s comment, “we don’t do grandma perfumes here”… If she’s knowledgeable and a real connoisseur of fragrance one would think she has an appreciation for scent profiles which, though they may not be in vogue at the moment, are still beautiful in their own right and are a part of the history which influenced perfumery. Tbh it came off a little snobby & naive. Particular notes come into and out of fashion, same as clothing style. To disparage vintage scents shows a lack of appreciation for someone who’s purportedly knowledgeable.
The editing wasn’t great either, loads of jump cuts and some needless zooms that didn’t emphasize anything. Tbh I’m happy watching a small channel with a reviewer that’s genuine without any frills over a generic set.
You can’t beat Sebastian Jara (The Perfume Guy on UA-cam) for sheer depth of knowledge of perfumery & the industry. For female scents in particular I like a smaller content creator actually, Veronica Says, just because her personality is fantastic.
I’ll give Greta a follow to be fair, since I’m just basing opinion on one view, but I wasn’t dazzled enough by production value to be swept away.

hello, I would like to smell like a workshop, metal, motor oil, burnt tires/ smoky, like a gas station, gasoline/ petroleum, gunpowder, cement etc. So not classic, elegant, soapy also not modern/ sweet but more like industrial, mechanic/ electronic, like Terminator would smell or from the movie Commando but I can't find any videos on that. Which scents would you recommend in this category? It would be cool if there were some cheapies for this, it doesn't have to be anything complex. By that I don't mean €200 niche fragrances lol :D
Dior Fahrenheit has a petrol smell to it. Very masculine scent. Not sure of any others besides that.
The Don by Xerjoff: whiskey, cigarettes and gun powder. You’ll smell like you blew out an italian restaurant while smoking a cigarette, then relaxed with a whiskey bender and woke up a day later in the same clothes 👌🏼
Afordable option: Happyland Studios, Inlandish. Smells like Boys’ Night Out, The Hangover movie style 😉

Hello fragrance lovers I hope everyone is manifesting their vision of their future and not reliving the memories of the past. Well now, at the end of the day it's water with fragrance oils. No disrespect but I think it's a gross misallocation of time and money to take it to this level. That said to each his own. Cheers

Smelly, you are good craic, but Ramsey is the best perfume reviewer on youtube. Vintage, ouds, artisinal, niche, attars and every designer under the sun. Prodigious and incomparable for anyone looking to learn about fragrances.
