Danish here. I just saw a wideo that sayed 22% more americans want to leave USA, than before the election. I think it was "travel with kristen" or something about that.
I am here to support the Ranch Dressing import business! My husband just got on a plane today to go back to Wisconsin for deer hunting season with his dad, and Ranch is on his list of things to bring home!! I can find my peanut butter, I can find my boxed mac n cheese, but I CANNOT find Ranch! OH that and French/Catalina dressing!
We're heartbroken over the US election and our inboxes are filled with loved ones asking for "how to" advice on moving overseas. It's overwhelming and we feel like our decision of how long we try to stay in Denmark (or Europe I suppose) has sort of been made for us. Feels like watching dominoes fall and the consequences of those dominoes makes us feel unsafe.
That was over way to fast. I wouldn't have minded listening to all you people talking for an hour or more. It was interesting and fun, just to hear your different takes and opinions and explanations.
Another Dutch listener here. You talked about how the Danish call Belarus, White Russia. Well, we Dutch call it the same, wit-Rusland (White Russia). I always believed Bela meant white, not beautyfull, but I stand corrected if it does mean beautyfull. Now that I think about it, I believe we only call our own country and Belgium the way the citizens of said country call their own country: Nederland and Belgie. Like if we Dutch talk about the USA, we name it 2 ways: Amerika, or Verenigde Staten. I\ve never heard any Dutch speak of your country as the full USA (US of A). Also, I found it very funny you mention the single one product in Dutch supermarket with a ranch-flavour to be Doritos new chips. The flavour gets mentioned on TV, I never knew it until the Doritos.
Thanks for having me! 👋

Just wondering: What kind of flavor is this ranch dressing I keep hearing about?
If it’s that important why don’t you just have someone send it to you …or return to the states.
@@kille-4B nah, I think now I'll stay forever 😘
@@Donnah1979 it's such a unique flavor it's hard to describe! The ingredients include mayo, garlic, dill, parsley, salt and pepper.
“Why don’t you Danes have mozzarella?” Uhm, we do. Proper(-ish) mozzarella, not processed into string cheese. 😂
You could have both 😂 it’s normal, natural cheese, not processed.
@@RobeTrotting Nope! Why can’t you just be satisfied with the mozzarella we have and with the way things are here?

As an Aussie with a Danish Mor, I think I can nail this....... Maybe.....
Excellent episode! Did you guys beat up Conrad before the episode?
No, why? 😂 It was tough sharing mics tbh, he was quieter than normal.
😂😂😂
Nina Bang was minister of Education 😊 from april 1924 to 1926 december
Actually, the Dutch and the Danish are very much alike - in a way much more than the Danes are with the Sweedes and Norweigans.

Thanks so much, really happy that you enjoyed it and we'll more to come with this grouping and even more episodes on all podcast streaming platforms 😊

Is Conrad hellbent on the Danes calling him Jens Lyn or what is going on?
Please address me as Jens 🫡
Just as some background. The Dutch king has a background in water management, so the topic of the trip is not surprising to me.
That's really cool to know, thanks :)
Glue Canal 😂
Very interesting to hear your views on the US political situation
Bela means white not beautiful, so its literally White Russia also in Belarussian.
