Terrific travel vlogs. I’m so tired of the over the top, obnoxious travel vlogs that dominate the Tube. You two have the most chill, low-key vibe in the best possible way 😃. Great relatable content and editing. We’re heading to Japan in 2 months for a 2 week trip so I’m binge watching all your last Japan vlogs for tips. Safe travels.
Makes our day to read comments like this. Thank you so much! 🙏 Where are you guys heading on your Japan trip? Personally 2 weeks is the perfect amount to really go out and explore the smaller Japanese cities.
Wow, this is the kind of content that keeps me visiting youtube. Also, Ralph's fit in this video looks so good. One of the well-dressed guys I know. 🙌🏻 the butterfly 🙏🏻
Yaaay new video! Only travel vlog I subscribe to. Love the vibes and how relaxing and informative your videos are. I've saved a couple for reference for future trips.
15:27 I noticed how eclectic and intricate Ralph is with checking out stuff. I noticed it in the other video in Taiwan when he was checking out the cameras. I appreciate the vibes and the setup. Even the crocodile t-shirt looks awesome on you! The energy of all these videos is really fun and the lo-fi music adds to it all. Wish I could go to Japan and just have Ralph and Sam follow me with this music and play tour guide! haha. Now I'm slowly thinking about another trip to Japan soon!
I said this before, but want to say this again - YOUR VIDE IS SO STYLISH!!!!!!!! I can watch it over and over again. I would like to stop by the Yakitori restaurant when I got to Tokyo :)
@@RalphSam The smaller streets are amazing. SO many thrift stores and cafes everywhere. I haven't had any curry though, so that's a must for next time :)
just recently discovered you guys and love your content! watching your vlogs is giving me the 'itch' to go back - Lol. My husband and I first Japan visit, we fell in love with this place. Our last trip was in 2022 (our 8th trip back) - never can get tired of it. 🤩
Thank you for the new vlog! Pleasure to watch as always ❤. P.S. Nice to see the mention of the bracelets made from Czech vintage glass beads (as I’m from Prague 🇨🇿)
woooo one of my favorite neighborhoods in tokyo!! i also had a dirty latte in one of their gorgeous glass mugs at bear pond earlier this year and man it was a game changer. i would only order dirty lattes if every third wave shop served them~ can't wait for the upcoming tokyo vlogs as these first two have been sooo good.
My partner and I are going to Osaka and Tokyo in Oct and you 2 remind me so much of us, haha! Love ur videos and I keep making lists of places. He lived there but it's my first trip, so excited! ❤
Thanks BD! I can suggest the Yashica T AF series which are under $100 on ebay. Nice little portable black film camera. One of my early favorites way back in 2011 🎞🥸✌🏽
@@RalphSam Thanks, have you tried the Mentaiko Shiopan at Pain Maison near Azuma Bridge (Asakuza and sumida area) ? I hope you'll try it next time, I think it will pair really well with coffee
You guys should meet Sam and Victor , the other couple from Hong Kong who come to Japan quite often and have similar interests!! I believe they are in Tokyo at the moment!! Look them up!!!
Which city is a good place to start im a first time Japan traveler and i only have a week? Tokyo or Osaka? Also, congrats on the sponsorship! that kwossant ring is everything, now my wife wants us to go on this flea market!!
Haha thank you so much! 🥐 Personally, we would say Tokyo, just because there is so much to see and do without even leaving the city. You really get a feel for Japanese culture too if you immerse yourself in it for a week. You can plan a full Osaka/Kyoto itinerary for a different trip!
Would you mind explaining more about the discount tickets? Salamat. Love your vids. Minimal talking ; aesthetically pleasing and enjoy Ralph’s photography. Keep it up.
Sure! At a certain time, usually around 8 pm or later, someone goes around the store and adds discount stickers to the cooked food that hasn't been sold yet. Usually you'll find items 20 to even 50% off and we notice a lot of office workers visit the grocery at this time to buy discounted meals. 😊
Hello Sam and Ralph! Going to Tokyo in December. Always loved your vlogs since your first upload! Would like to know what hotel/apartment you stayed in for this trip. Location looks convenient and the room is big!
i live in sweden but ever since i visited japan earlier this summer it's against my will hahaha :') loving your videos and your calm and kind vibe as always!
Love your vlog guys. May I ask which point and shoot / film Ralph uses?. His photo's are beautiful. Apologies in advance if you have already been ask this a million times :)
Kichijoji and Koenji you can do on the same day since they are just a stop away from one another 😊 Shimokitazawa is a bit further away, so you might do that a different day.
@ Thank you for replying! I was hoping I could squeeze in Shimokitazawa in the same day to make it more efficient as I only have four full days in Tokyo 🥲 and I’m not big on vintage shopping so was planning to keep my shopping minimal lol. But I shouldn’t try to cram everything in if it’s not going to fit!
@bblancaflor absolutely! spacious, clean, modern and with a laundry machine. close to train station and walkable to tokyo tower. we'd stay there again.
I gotta say I've been watching a lot of Japan vlogs because I'll be there next week (my first trip back to Japan since 2019! やばい! ) and I have to agree with that pinned comment you've got. Y'all's videos are a breath of GD fresh air in a very stagnant, predictable space. So many travel vlogs are incredibly vapid, inauthentic, and staged. The cliche of influencer walking in front of the ~aesthetic~ shop front or wall or whatever, and you just know they walked past that dang wall fifty times to get THE SHOT really irrates me, for some reason. I feel I cannot handle like cringe by proxy? The annoying thing is I know they're most likely lovely people and youtube/"content creation" is such a relentless grind, etc etc, but nonetheless it makes me grumpy. Anyway watching your videos actually makes me want to try doing some video instead of just only still photography this trip. I cannot think of a higher compliment than that. Love you both.
Honestly this means so much to us. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful comment. And it makes us even happier to hear it's inspired you to capture videos on your upcoming trip! Personally speaking, vlogging helped us preserve our little mundane memories in a way we never expected. Hope you have fun next week 🤍😊 Thanks for the support!
hmm hate to say this but i think with vintage clothing , only the attractive or stylish can pull it off , otherwise you just look like someone wearing heavily worn clothes and looking very average if not worse than someone who buys their clothes from a cheap chain clothing outlet.
Fair point if that's your opinion. For us we enjoy shopping vintage because of the secondhand nature of it. We appreciate recycling old garments and finding new uses for them. It's not to everyone's taste, but it suits ours.
