Highly recommend shipping your luggage to hotels, airports, airbnbs, anywhere. It’s super safe, secure, and on-time. No more lugging that luggage up and down the subway stairs.
@@MaryamTayeh-k2c because a lot of people use it, it is not expensive. It really is very common to ship your luggages within Japan. Tt is why you don't see the Japanese lugging big suitcases in shinkansen etc. I have never been to Japan but have been doin lots of research as I haf plans to go next yr end... Hope this helps!
Im flying to Japan on the 1st of October 2024, I arrive at Tokyo the day after. Besides Tokyo we are also visiting Osaka and Kyoto and of course I wanna use the system that drops my bagage at the next hotel where I’m arriving. My question is: When is it the best time to do it? A day before I’m checking out from the hotel to go to the other one, or can I do it the same day? I don’t wanna reach at the other hotel(s) while my luggage is still not there.
Thanks for sharing these tips. I have been to Japan in 2019 but I am so looking forward to be back, and I am happy to hear tips from an expert like you. Thanks once more and I wish you a wonderful day. (best greetings to your husband too)
Thank you so much for this video! Covered thing I never would have thought of. Your advice on transportation and flights is going to save me a fortune. And the part about etiquette has me feeling so prepared. Thank you! 😊😊

Nice thumbnail. Hope you enjoy your trip to Japan and Korea. Thanks for the heads up. Last May, I visit Tokyo for the 1st time in 2024, it's good and awesome, but the train is super crowded on the busiest hours, including Disneyland in Tokyo/Chiba and days, weather is unpredictable and almost most restaurants don't accept card, which is quite annoying, so I have to bring a lot of cash. I been to Osaka for the 1st time in October of 2010 when I was a kid, it's good and awesome, I enjoy my 1st trip to Japan.
I was so close to visiting it one point. I had experience with modeling and in 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity to visit this Japan... Great channel!
stumbled upon your vids and i am in love! im going to japan for my first time this upcoming january so i'm excited to binge watch your travel videos! by any chance, do you have a video for tips to vlog or take pictures as a solo traveler? i want to vlog & take cute pictures my first time in japan for my family and friends to see but i am also not wanting to be so awkward lol.
WOAH! I didn't know you can add the Suica card DIRECTLY to your iPhone Wallet like that!? Locked in for the whole dang video after that tip. And yes, I'm about to spend $3K+ just to go to Tokyo to onigiri, melon bread and egg sandwiches.
JR pass is only worth it if you’re going back and forth between other cities on the bullet train - not the regular trains :) if you’re only going from let’s say Tokyo to Osaka and back, that won’t be worth the price!
We’ve been thinking of going to Japan for many years and this might be it. Probably booking within a week or 2. Going for the cherry blossoms if possible. I am 66 years old, wear mostly jeans, t shirts, long sleeve shirts and such. Any suggestions on what to pack for our trip. I’m thinking of my Nike shoes and maybe my Chelsea boots. I know to dress in layers and take a light jacket and umbrella. We are taking a medium size suitcase, so will try to take clothes that you can make more than one outfit with. I want to be respectful but comfortable too. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed just trying to learn all I can before heading there. Transportation, money exchange, hotels, etc and figuring out what I can eat to accommodate my diabetic diet.
Depends on how long you’re staying, if you’re travelling alone, how much you want to spend in general (for souvenirs/food)… However, I would say it’s enough for you alone for about 1-2 weeks
So the JR train typically has its own separate counter? If you will at each station where you can purchase individual tickets if you would like or before you come you can purchase a JR pass for either 5, 7, or 10-14 days I believe? If you plan on using several JR train trips because you’re going to lots of cities that can’t be accessed via local trains the pass may be worth it but I recommend sitting down ahead of time and mapping/calculating your trips to see if the pass is worth it for you
Maya please help me out if you know! My cousin and I are going to japan for 2 weeks from May 28th - June 11th, its both of our first times going to japan! Another translation app like Lens or Papago that you may not know but it's pretty useful and free is DeepL.

Here in Argentina, if a restaurant has 3 stars, you're basically signing up for food poisoning and a stomach pump

would you consider getting a JR pass for a 15 day stay? or is it not worth it.
