    Maam I think the correct answer is option d as tk is present which will not survive in ganciclovir.

    Why isn't answer is D, as you've explained that if product has both TK as well neomycin it would survive in G148 & would die when grow on Gangciclovir, thats what option D explained.
    Imo option D would be right.

    As in non homologous recombination it contains both tk and neo so why it does not survive instead of presence of neo resistance gene plz tell otherwise it is very helpful

      If TK is present it will convert ganciclovir to a lethal compound and the cell will die ( if both the genes are present)

    Ma'am can you please tell the difference or important points of G418 & Gangciclovir???

    • @BotanyInsider
      @BotanyInsider  3 роки тому +1

      G418 and Gangciclovir are the chemicals that are used for positive and negative selection respectively of the integrated vector
      G418 is analog of neomycin
      Gangciclovir is obtained from Herpes simplex virus (HSV )
      FOR THIS TIPOC you have to remember there positive and negative working only
