They should. Just look at Sonic Mania. That worked. So should Advance remake. With more new varied zones and more playable characters. And custom characters. And more bosses.
Man, I would've loved this game growing up. I was crazy into the flash version of this -- Ultimate Flash Sonic, since I couldn't get a portable gaming device at that time.

Sonic: Hey, I remember one of those stages. It’s Music Plant Zone! Me: Music Plant Zone? Sonic: Yeah, you know a pink sky, those bouncy, colorful xylophones and even some musical notes.
But you can find the chaos in any order and any time individually. For SA2, you not just have to find them, but you have to memorize all special rings' location, and get all of them every time, you want to enter a single special stage.
Now that's a ending and final boss worthy of play the same game over and over, but still don't get why if Amy is playable is not part of the strory? She is the only one who Sonic didn't save in this game (Sonic CD is cool and all but beats this turn of events). Anyway great video mister gamer, take your like you earned ;D
The first one is the best out of them. 2 is pretty good, but it has it's annoying part & getting to the Special Stage is tedious & 3 is the worst out of them mostly because of it's poor & tedious level designs.
Sonic Advance 2 was programmed using an updated version of the original's game engine and the team aimed to make the game larger and faster-paced than the original. The game is an installment in the Sonic the Hedgehog series and the sequel to 2001's Sonic Advance. The story follows Sonic as he sets out to save his friends and retrieve the seven magical Chaos Emeralds from Dr. Eggman. Gameplay consists of the player completing various levels as one of five characters, each with their own unique attributes. After each zone is completed, the player faces Dr. Eggman in a boss battle. Sonic Advance 2 is a side-scrolling platformer similar in gameplay and style to the original Sonic Advance. The player controls Sonic the Hedgehog, who can unlock three other playable characters: Cream the Rabbit and her Chao named Cheese, Tails, and Knuckles the Echidna after defeating Dr. Eggman in specific boss battles. A fifth character, Amy Rose, can be unlocked after completing the game with each character once each of them has all seven Chaos Emeralds. Each character has their own unique moves and abilities. Sonic can perform an "insta-shield" that protects him for a brief moment; Cream and Tails can fly; Knuckles can glide and climb; and Amy can destroy enemies using a hammer. In the tradition of Sonic games, gameplay consists of moving quickly through levels. Levels in the game are divided into seven "zones", each consisting of two acts of normal gameplay then a boss battle, where the player fights Doctor Eggman in order to stop Eggman from taking over the world. The player collects rings as a form of health; when the player is hit by an enemy or obstacle, their rings bounce in all directions, and can be recollected before they disappear. Each character starts with a limited number of lives, which are lost if they are hit without any rings, fall into a bottomless pit, get crushed, drown, or go past the act's 10-minute mark. If the player loses their last life, the game ends prematurely. The player can also collect seven "special rings" to access special stages, where Chaos Emeralds are found. Special stages are on a 3D plane, where the character tries to obtain a set number of rings before time runs out in order to collect a Chaos Emerald. After beating all zones and finding all seven Chaos Emeralds with Sonic, an alternate final act is unlocked. When all of the Chaos Emeralds are collected with the other characters, a sound test feature (where the player can listen to music) and a boss time-attack feature are unlocked, along with the Tiny Chao Garden, where toys for Cheese, can be purchased with rings earned in-game. Various mini-games can also be played in the Tiny Chao Garden. Other game modes include a "time-attack" mode where the player tries to beat a specific act in the shortest amount of time, and a multiplayer mode, where players can race each other through unlocked acts. My second Sonic game on my Game Boy Advance. This game takes me back to May 2003. I still own it and play it.
Why in the XX Zone is a boss rush, honestly doesn't look that easy than SA1, In the X zone Sonic was fighting the two old machines from Eggman including the wrecking ball and the drill tank and also fighting the new blitz cannon
Sonic Advance 1 is way better than Sonic Advance 2 and 3 because in Sonic Advance 1, you don't have to worry about collecting 7 special rings and 10 Chao in order to enter a damn special stage. I would rather put up with the Special Springs in Sonic Advance 1 instead. The other worst Sonic game for the GBA is the GBA port of Sonic 1 for the Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive. That port was the worst. It had tons of bugs, screen crunches, glitches, remixed sound, remixed music and slow-downs in the gameplay. The 3 Sonic games for the GBA that I highly recommend are Sonic Advance 1, Sonic Pinball Party and Sonic Battle.
@@Wind26762 Sonic Advance 2 has some good level design, but the optimal routes are lesser than in the original games... And this game also forces to do some special moves, (Especially in the later half of the stages) or it'll cost an life...
The sense of speed in this game is incredible. This is my favorite of the advance trilogy.
Mr.MeleeModder DEJA VU!!
Same here.
The 3rd one took a huge step back
@@freshprinz9829 HIGHLY disagree.
@@YoshifreakZX Yeah, the 3rd one is actually an improvement, because there is ACTUAL platforming instead of just running in all of the levels.

The music on this is way better than I remember.
this game got me into sonic, takes me back to 2003 ;.;
The soundtrack in this game shines of gracefulness and passion!
Underrated series. The Advance series should be rereleased
An Sonic Advance Trilogy would sound an epic game...
this is giving me so much of nostalgia. i still have my gamboy to this date but it needs some battery change, i missed this game so much
they should remaster all the sonic advance games tbh
They definitely should.

Yeah, for your pleasure...😉
I agree so much that I have that track in my Spotify list.
I have never seen the special stages or that mid air jump

Mid air jump is up+R. Mid air dash is right+r. To get the special stages, you need to collect the seven coins you see in the top left

This reminds me of this exact online game, "Ultimate Flash Sonic." I used to play it goin' through middle school.
The music when confronted Dr. Eggman, it shows that were inspired by Metal Slug, because at first it sounds like.
