First of all, I am very happy that this wonderful church has now the capability to broadcast sermons. In this occasion, being Father Peter Lemay, whose sermons are very instructive and meaningful. I have been very fortunate to have been listening to Father’s sermons for a period of time. They are all very well prepared and thought out. This Holly priest prepares his sermons and clearly asks the Holly Ghost to descend upon him when he writes them as well as when he delivers them. I am looking forward to more sermons from priests coming to celebrate at Sacred Heart. God bless you father. And thank you to Sacred Heart for making this available to us all wherever you are in the world.
Hello, Both are valid renderings of the Latin _Spiritus Sanctus,_ with perhaps slightly different connotations for a time. I won't claim extensive knowledge over the subject matter, though it seems that "Holy Ghost" (which comes to English via Germanic roots) was used seemingly exclusively in liturgical prayer until the 40s or so. Moreover, the renderings are not necessarily interchangeable, for instance, in certain songs for reasons of rhyme etc. as well "spirit" being one extra syllable long. For these reasons and perhaps others, some prefer "Holy Ghost". In any case, it is not worth making this a point of contention in an already highly polarized society. Hope this helps! God bless.
Deb, from the heart of a mother, when you feel the need to preface a comment with “I don’t mean to be rude,” you probably are being rude. Let your words be instead “apples of gold in settings of silver,” needful, kind and true, just like Father LeMay’s were.
Graet and beautyfull Sarmon
May God bless all ❤❤
Thanks for speaking the Truth Father Lemay!!
Great sermon, Father! Great advice for a fruitful Advent.
Fr. Thank you for your sacrifice to the parish.

Great sermon Father Lemay!!
Excellent sermon Fr.
That was a lovely service. I don't wish to be rude. However, it is the Holy Spirit, not the Holy Ghost. Amen.
IT’S the HOLY GHOST
