How to Make Autumn Apple Cinnamon Pancakes Recipe + How to Bake Bacon | Breakfast for Dinner Ideas

  • You will rarely see me actually making breakfast for breakfast. If anything, I make breakfast for supper. I am not a morning person and the last thing I want to do is cook in the morning.
    This recipe though, it's a good one! It's made with Apples, Oats and Cinnamon. We've been using it for years and it's a perfect way to bring in the Autumn weather!
    Also, be sure to check out my tips on how to cook your bacon in the oven. It turns out flat and crispy every time. Makes my life so much easier!
    Here's the recipe:
    Autumn Apple Cinnamon Pancakes
    1 cup rolled oats
    3 cups water
    3 1/2 cups flour
    4 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    6 Tbsp Sugar
    2 Cinnamon
    2 Large Eggs
    2 cup Milk
    2 large apples, diced
    1/2 cup walnut (optional)
    6 Tbsp Melted butter
    Instructions:
    1. Pour hot water over oats and let sit for 5 minutes.
    2. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients together.
    3. Peel & core the apple and chop it it to small pieces.
    4. Add apple and walnuts (optional) to dry ingredients.
    5. Add eggs, milk & melted butter.
    6. Slowly stir in the oatmeal and mix well.
    7. Pour 1/2 to 1/3 cups of batter onto hot griddle or nonstick pan.
    8. Cook until bubbles form on top, then flip and cook until golden brown.
    9. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
