How about indidn totems some of them are hundred's of years old?
That looks like a big long hallway. It doesn’t look like a house it’s not wide and it doesn’t have separate rooms. Maybe you should build rooms entire rooms entire bedrooms on one side and then huge living rooms and a huge kitchen. You don’t like a real house but underneath the ground, that just looks like a hallway.
I know you're busy, but you need to seriously consider building a shithouse for our friend, bigfoot.
He has to shit in the woods without tissue.
He has a very hard time.
Poor baby.
well that was fir and cedar not pine and that is a Root Cellar not a Storm Shelter NO Tornadoes in Alaska
Their are certainly tornadoes in Alaska
very expensive a c-can would cut cost down 90%

several strange and several wrong ai generated remarks and statements. The ai voice was irritating
CONCRETE would have been Faster , Stronger , Less Expensive , and more Flexible In Design!
nope you would need the wood than the metal and than the CONCRETE and its would be a pain in the but to add something new to it
@@dementedbowine8681 Google 'PRECAST CONCRETE' - Ancient Roman builders made use of concrete and soon poured the material into moulds to build their complex network of aqueducts, culverts, and tunnels. Modern uses for pre-cast technology include a variety of architectural and structural applications - including individual parts, or even entire building systems. - Good Luck & Regards :)
You just take someone else's video, put a computer voice over it, and post it as your own content? That's precious.
)))))))))))))
Apparently he will protect his potatoes and pumpkins from the tornado...
ahh😅😅
Thats an in ground shelter or supply storage not an "underground" shelter. I think there will be a rot problem with this design but it does look well made.
BTW: i know that UA-cam channel. And they have given a lot of information which is all cut out. SO you use the work of others which is not fair.
It is much easier to place a 20-foot reefer container, which is the same size as the wooden box, which is much more fragile than the container...
There is always someone who don't get it? For example to go get a coffee at the restaurant I prefer to walk you might want to drive someone else maybe want to take bike and so on? Who is right?
The walls of a standard reefer container are NOT designed for horizontal forces and might bend inwards when the container is buried.
a lot of work and money to do that, I would have been better off buying a container and it would have been better
Maybe, unless the builder has a lumber mill or knows someone that does and can get lumber for cheap/free. If so, this is a much cheaper way to go. Not to mention he can customize it to his wants/needs.
Sometimes it’s about the journey not the destination
If that’s what you think then you don’t understand shipping containers and this type of of construction.
Shipping containers are not meant to be buried and have significant weight/pressure coming down on it from above and the side. The strength in a shipping container is in its four corners and its ability to be stacked not from its walls in general. A shipping container underground would need significant counter supports added to the structure to resist the force of the earth on it among other improvements.
Shipping containers are horrible choices for a project like this. They aren't built to take on pressure from the sides like a buried structure has to.
with all those shelves it looks like more a underground storage area for canned goods, fruits and, roots and the likes.
While indeed a storm does not last for more than an hour or two, there should be at least a place to eat something and to sit down.
Meaning a table and chairs.
make do but this will rot you want underground use metal lasts longer
@@ВадимДобрынин-р5б a storm lasts only for an hour or so. suppose for that time they can do without a toilet? Or use a small chemical toilet, like we use here on a Datscha?
But sometimes i wonder, would it not be cheaper to buy a not used big metal container? And modify it for usage?
Looked like primarily bunk beds for a family of 8. I don’t think they were done outfitting this at the end of the video. Only the structure. Furnishings, necessaries later.
@@maureenfitzgerald1895 a storm does not last for days on end. but suppose that is another story. To me it looks like a storage cellar for roots and pickles.
The problems with wood underground never cease. I would suggest using a metal cargo container. Cheaper, stronger and easier to bury and electrify.
Looks like a cheese curing shed to me.
basic wood construction with tar paper. a structure like that doesn't last a lifetime above ground, I'm a builder my entire life. Southern yellow pine is a very strong wood, but it doesn't have any real lasting benefits when wet or covered with soil. Even 'treated' green wood will eventually rot. Maybe it's different in Alaska, burying wood, I don't know? Somehow, I think it'd be a lot less labor to use concrete blocks or poured concrete forms. sealing all the joints, guarantee it would last a lifetime. Nice build though, fun to watch, it would make a very nice shed...very sturdy. 🤗👍
Would it be wise to purchase an used, still in good condition steel cargo container with less money instead of build it with wood ?
That's what I was going to say.... a 40 ft CONEX container would have cost less an needed less modifications.
@@tboltaq2 It seems we shared the same idea ... Thanks !
No, containers are not meant to be buried and would eventually collapse due to pressure on the sides from the earth around it.
@@tke71709 I don't agree with you ! Perhaps you don't know the structure of a steel cargo container and the pressure it can stand. When you look at a cargo container vessel how they stack up the containers, you can imagine how strong is a standard 20' container ( TEU ) !
@@tke71709 One simple example ... when you compare a box made of steel and a box made of wood ( same thickness of material of 6 walls ) which box can bear more outside pressure ... Tell me !
Why waste so much time and energy? The devil wants to keep us busy with so many things, so that we forget about our souls and eternity. Search the Lord Jesus Christ, life is so short and it pases away so easily. Seek eternity.
What shall profit a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul ? - Jesus
Nothing to do with time and money in america ?…😂 … maybe buy some guns next!… another car with 7 liters engine ?…😂… have nercy guys !…
It is so much easier and cheaper to use a semi trailer box !
All these people building those bunkers for nothing. When the end is here no bunker or anything will save you. These are just big family graves.
It's a good shelter to protect you from tornadoes and sandstorms.
Sand storms, tornados in Alaska😂
I would have built some benches instead of all beds it's not like you're going to be in there for weeks
🤣🤣🤣🤣bunker made of wood, only an illiterate person can think of that,😅😅
super cool, but my wife has filled this up and then some and we only have a small garden
This is called a root cellar. It is not a bunker not even close. You will have no protection with a tornado.
Low qualiti 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂10 years done
You need not to talk. Everything is self explanatory.
Won't that turn the wood into a mold pit from the damp ground ! Wood + water do not mix, it turns to mold.
Es su idea 💡😂 para su vídeo
@doc6453 - Better yet, Coat the whole thing with Rubber Paint, Silicone Rubber, or Epoxy, Then Pour The Concreat Ovet The Shelter...
Not a shelter , that's a Root cellar......who narrated this needs to learn a few things .
It's amazing how the burl looks like a topographical map. You could spend hours looking at all the different terrains.
Wish I had the money and space for such an impressive table.
Beautiful work!
Hahaha,ne gradi on sklonište od oluje 😂😂😂
Zna taj šta radi 😉
Bez sensu. Ja bym kontener morski postawił na ziemi i obciazyl betonem
Underground?
Do you even understand meaning of this word?
Dude, Love Thje video, q: Are You a Voice Actor named Vic? Or Joshua Seth who Played the Voice of Tetsuo in The Legendary Anime Movie: Akira?
6:28 "It is less expensive than wood, concrete, or steel, making it a budget-friendly option". ????????????????????????????????????????????
Do something about your gross commercials please
Burning the outside of the wood is a water and bug protection. I have seen burned wood with around 120 years old and still in very good condition. E.G. when you have a pilar then place some gravel under it so that the water can flow away much faster.
Ehhez mennyi erdőt Kellet. Ki vágni ??!! Oxigént ell venni mindekitöl. !!!!!
Each local shelter must be adapted to local characteristics. The shelter in the film is more like an emergency storage warehouse than a living space. At least in the tropical monsoon climate area where I live, if such a space is buried underground, it is very likely to become an underground tank filled with water after a heavy rain.
Dude the commentary is the worst part of this video btw, cool building though
Storm shelter? looks more like a storage facility.
Why don’t use concrete ? Or pressure treated woods?
They were not cheap on using boards. Look at the thickness of those things.
Add soccer is gonna be around for a long time.
it its very good to have a lot of stuff in your shelter
all that work for a foching closet size shed
thats gonna get ripped up out the ground if it takes a direct hit from the tornado....
Looks like they built an underground furnace - complete with fuel.
Can it withstand the storm?
Pudiendo hacerlo con hormigón no entiendo esto
More like underground storage shed😂
this is a joke right?
it's a root cellar!
Is it to store things in or stay in ? how long do the storms last?i can see the skill but could a container not just be put in the ground with water barrier and insulation?
Man want to hope he don't get wood worm
The result of hard work is frustrating😑😑
Oh boy with the blue and brown hat with his shirt off ...is showing off his starvation cuts ..😅
Bez sensu. Zakopujesz kontener morski
Nice job. Where's the food, water storage? I like.
Should I spray it with basement? Tar then put on the tar paper.👍
A lot of time and energy for an underground wooden structure.
looks like a root Celler
I watched this with no sound because my husband is asleep next to me 😂
This was cool to watch! I want to do something like this one day❤
Hầm nổi 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Where do people sleep?
If a person has the money they can do anything .
It's amazing
