My s2000 came with a K&N typhoon that went down by the bumper that was actually damaged and being held up with zip ties. Bought a stock airbox on eBay and thankfully it came with this mod already done (I was gonna do it myself). LHT performance did lots of testing and they determined those Honda engineers knew what they were doing, no need to drop money on expensive aftermarkets that just hurt your performance.
Was it the stock/OEM radiator that blew? I'm debating if i should upgrade to a Koyo or Mishimoto radiator, but my car is mainly street use so i figured the stock radiator should be good enough... apparently it does blow lol... was it just normal wear/tear or did something cause it to blow? thx!
The swiss cheese mod it's the cheapest way to get more air into your stock air-box,you should try it.... K&N replacement number is 2435 (stock-airbox only)
It's FR. Not mid engine. Engine sits on the Front of the car, REAR wheel drive. Example Toyota MR2 is MID engine (engine mounted behind the drive) REAR wheel drive.
People consider the S2000 mid engined because the engine sits entirely behind the front axle, though the clearest designation is technically front-mid engined. The MR2 is considered mid engined because the engine is in front of the rear axle, not just because the engine sits behind the driver. This same reasoning is why the Porsche 911 is considered rear engined and not mid engined; its engine sits on and behind the rear axle.
