I love how you have *SUPER ULTRA FUTURISTIC WEAPONS* with *CASELESS AMMUNITION AND ALL THE COOL STUFF* and then you just have MW2 weapons lol
they were more than likely just placeholders
If not placeholders, it could have been one of those situations where the campaign had missions in the 'past' where you had to use those guns and so they were in the game. I still think they were placeholders but that's a cool scenario to think about

I have a theory that the original KBAR-32 design that was seen in Infinite Warfare’s reveal trailer had some design cues taken from the Atlas Mk 27 1:41 . Although the Atlas does bear a little bit of a resemblance to the Bal 27 from Advanced Warfare (and the company in AW is called Atlas)

@@Cytroen Yeah, I’d like to think that this game’s story was too convoluted and all over the place, So Activision had it split into Ghosts, AW, and Infinite Warfare.
Some MP maps take place in a Nuclear reactor meltdown area, as well as an abandoned part of Detroit, two locations in AW

@@xVenova so I looked into it more, the one in NX1 is def more FAL like compared to the HBRa3, but I definitely see the Bren design more in the AW model. I feel like Sledge still modified this model tho, the back bracket by the irons looks way to similar for a coincidence

Man as the weapon 3D modeller/animator I'd be pissed. These are literally 90% done. They need to port the xmodel/xanims for future preservation as a H2M/BO3 mod.
Honestly was thinking the same thing. And seeing as this channel just has access to the game, then we as a community must have access to the files. So it CAN be done.

Yeah, they honestly look too cool to just be forgotten about IMO. Weapons like the GLO-1, XM108 SEAR, and Type 104 in particular are some of my favorites.

You missed a few guns from the campaign. There is a pistol that shoots grenades on the moon mission. You could probably spawn it with the dev menu

@@xTooPalex you’ll need a way to launch the xex, many options for that, if I remember correctly I used to use something like xex menu. Just launch 5-nx1mp_demo for multiplayer and you’ll need to drag the xex in the patch folder to the nx1 folder then launch 0-nightly sp maps for SP. I think.
Kinda sucks that this game wasn't even halfway done. Not saying that it would've been a good or a bad game. But it's better to have it than not.

oh god dude that deployable shield has space underneath it.... imagine blocking off a major chokepoint with them and then placing claymores underneath and tossing grenades under it.... that wouldve made people so mad
This is probably the only cod game with 3 usable shields and it would have been sick if it worked like mw3 survival where they would break to balance them
I can see some of the designs got kind of refurbished into some of AWs guns. The “FAL” looks vaguely similar to the HBRA3 with the sights, left sided charging handle and the reload also makes it somewhat familiar. The create a class image of the Atlas Mk27 looks similar to the Bal27s silhouette.
All of these weapons...handcrafted and meticulously made... to never see the light of day again...

I believe there is an alternate universe, where cod isn't a yearly release, this game exists, and is one of maybe 4 cod games that came out since mw2, it wasn't a huge success sales wise, but was a good game with a good story, and was fondly remembered to this day 😢

I actually really would’ve loved to see this game fully release, I don’t hate Ghost or Infinite Warfare but this game seems like the better blueprint for what those games would become. It’s a shame we never got to see it at its full potential

It's possible however a lot of stuff needs remodeling and new textures, it would be cool if the finished maps from this got ported to iw4x

I love how they were gonna keep the same snipers from MW2 with the exception of the ESR. It looks like they didn't finish creating the actual in-game gun model for it yet.

This is missing actually quite a few weapons only obtainable via the dev menu like the Ares Minigun and M29 SAW
The .50 cal brought back flashbacks of hearing it getting spammed at the beginning of matches

I like the "ESR" gun in the menu that looks like a Barret and then in game looks like an Intervention, and then shoots and charges like a laser weapon.
Makes 100% sense.

That gun you’re holding with the under barrel grenade launcher looks kinda like the SA-805, an assault rifle that was featured in Ghosts.
More proof that a number of assets etc from this game were later used in Ghosts

Came here to mention it, I wondered if the animations are just the same or maybe incomplete for some of the guns. It almost seemed like they went out of their way to not show the full reload by emptying most of the mag and then reloading. Maybe it crashes if he tries it idk but I'm still glad to see this stuff since I can't get it working on my end

1:24 Even though it has the code name, that weapon is not modeled after an FAL, but instead an XCR which is what the Hbra-3 is based on in Advanced Warfare.
The HBR A3 is based on the CZ 805 BREN according to IMFDB

idk if id say this is ALL weapons cause there is some campaign exclusive stuff i didnt see in this video being like the two guns on the moonbase mission the explosive pistol and the assault rifle and theres something else as well on the moon mission i picked up i dont remember its name but it was something new but used the model of a uzi as a placeholder.

One thing I’ll give these designs (that ain’t ripped straight from MW2) is that they actually look sci-fi, instead of being futurized versions of modern guns (looking at you, Infinite Warfare)

You missed one weapon, the minigun. Although this belongs to a killstreak, it is still a gun which can be picked up after the Ares aka the Juggernaut dies.

Is this the MW2 that was supposed to be an aliens invasion storry that Activision turned down that evolved and morphed over the years into TitanFall once the Medal of Honour OGs from Infinity Ward left to form Respawn?

Note: this is speculation from a guy who hasn't played COD since Black Ops II (played plenty of MW2 2009 tho). Naturally the only people who know for sure what was or was not done with NX1's assets are the guys who worked on it. Would be happy to hear other suggestions.

Seems to be at least the basis for the [EPM3] in Advanced Warfare: both are semi-automatic, directed energy rifles that require recharging after a certain number of shots. Seems to be the basis for directed energy weapons in general.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this became the [IMR] in Advanced Warfare: assault rifle, the side reload, high rate of fire, the... grip area having the two "openings", I have no idea what you call them.

This is a different variant of the FAL than the one we saw in MW2 2009. It's the SA-58 OSW (thanks, Google). Funnily enough, this variant would end up appearing in that year's game, Black Ops II.

Eventually became the [BAL-27] in Advanced Warfare, retaining the 27 naming, and the manufacturer name, Atlas, who play a key role in that game's story. (Multiple comments already noticed this one.)

Suppose this became the [SAC3] in Advanced Warfare. This was a tough one though. My reasoning for it is the very similar role of both weapons (SMG, highest fire rate in class) as well as some kinda similar visual elements (grip and stock areas).
