Doug & Ashley you amaze me. I’m so afraid of falling I could never do this. Now to all these people questioning how & why you are doing the remodeling & roof the way you are here are some facts. If I have figured right this is the 6th roof yall have installed or worked on since having a UA-cam channel.
    1st in Kokomo the house
    2nd the 1960’s trailer IN
    3rd the Michigan house
    4th Michigan barn
    5th your Florida Home
6 Your Family Retreat trailer (what I calling this one).
You two have remodeled & roofed all these places & do such a good job. I would trust you remodeling & roofing our buildings. Please be really careful. Can’t wait to see the roof & outside done. Then the inside.
Thanks for sharing. GOD BLESS from West Central Indiana Farmland

A roof is such a big job, I can see how it has potential to be overwhelming, so it’s good to hear you say up front that you’re going to take it in stride. Everyone knows this project won’t take overnight, so it’s a lesson/reminder to us all to be patient. You got the ball rolling , which is huge, and every day you work on it is a day closer to finishing the task. After ALL the work you’ve done I don’t need to tell you this, but I’m reminding myself & other viewers to remember patience & perseverance when things seem overwhelming. You’re doing a great job in so many ways. Thank you for including us all in your journey!

It sort of sounds like, when people comment to correct you, it’s never to say you’re not doing ENOUGH. It’s to say you’re doing too much. I don’t think doing too much is a bad tging, though. I like how thorough you both are.

Doug and Ashley, I was looking for a new video for almost a week it seems. I’m glad you’re back and I know you deserve your own time without us. I was just being selfish for a brief moment. I always tell you Doug to do what makes you and Ashley happy. You’re so sweet explaining why you did what you did and that’s okay too! But it boils down to is you did what you wanted to do. Thanks for another great video and it’s not over yet. I just know it’s gonna be great! God bless!💕

I'm sorry it was a tough day but being totally honest I do feel,a bit better about when I 'hit that wall' as my late Daddy was known to say. Seeing you experience hesitation made me feel less disappointed in myself. Sometimes I hesitate re starting a project and often force myself to proceed. I am v-e-r-y stubborn! More often than not it caused me more work later when I saw the mess I created. Plus when I have been sick my energy is low and that impacts my equilibrium. At 73 I have finally learned to listen to my body a bit more. Maybe my hesitation was my brain trying to get my attention. Maybe that's a stretch but it works for me. Glad to see Ashley and Doug again. Judging by the comments I read many of your followers (myself included), were looking for anything you posted over the last 8 days. No pressure, of course. We care about all 4 of you. I enjoyed this video. You 2 are amazing!

Doug, believe you are right with the bathroom window/fan scenario. We live in a house not a mobile home, but we put in a much larger window in our bathroom than is in your mobile home and did not put in an exhaust fan. My husband gave me a choice because I really wanted a ceiling fan instead of an exhaust fan.

I am so amazed that you have not gone through the roof. I have seen roofers put down a sheet of plywood to walk on to keep the weight dispersed. In fact because of added weight it is often only 1x2 used to strip the roof and metal screwed into them here where I live. These new metal roofs are so pretty.

Ok, I know I don't have to remind ya'll to be careful, because ya'll are adults and know exactly what you're doing, but I was still worried about ya'll being on the roof. I think a lot of people forget about all of the research and planning ya'll do before starting on a project, making sure you're following the codes and regulations for the area that you're in. Plus, your "good enough", always exceeds any professional contractor I've ever seen and ya'lls attention to every detail, rather big or small, is absolutely outstanding!! So Thank You for staying true to your own standards and showing us, through hard work and dedication, how it's possible to take a lump of coal, and turn it into the most beautiful diamond.
Much Love and Hugs to you both and to your beautiful family, from Auntie Jo and bunch!! ❤❤❤❤

It may not always be the case, but every home _I've_ every purchased had an exhaust fan in the guest bathroom and a small (useless) window in the master bath. Why? Why? Why? The last thing I want to do when it's 110 degrees outside or 30 degrees outside is open that bathroom window. It's great for letting light in, but is a poor substitute for a fan. After procrastinating for years, I just installed an exhaust fan, (that will also pull air _in_ if I desire), in the wall of my master bath. _What - A - Difference!_
I'm glad to see you all finally addressing the roof after all the work replacing rotted walls.

Part of the renovation projects, having the few areas that are not exciting but still need to be addressed., just go for it and get them crossed off the list. It will be nice to have the roof over done so you can install ceiling insulation, the hot weather is on its way!

Thanks for the video. This video felt different than your other uploads, maybe because you did not have any music and the camera was not on a tripod. Looks good.

It is good to see you back working on this roof. Roof color in gray will be good. I am sure this roof project is a good idea. The window in the bathroom should be enough. l have one bathroom with a window and one with a fan. I prefer the window for ventilation. Fresh air is very nice in the bathroom.
