the intro alone cracked me up, and the warrior helmet part made me burst out laughing to tears!! I love the sense of humor in these vlogs that make law enforcement personable and lighthearted. It is a nice escape from all the serious news media coverage regarding police work. Thanks Nick!
I'm sort of a reality TV junkie. I like how your vlog about the SWAT school contains no interview with the students at all. Compared to other reality shows I watched, it effectively cut out all emotions. Even when commenting on how someone has failed a certain task, the viewer does not know who failed. It's also good to know that you are given more than one attempt for most tasks.
Nick, thanks for making these awesome videos! I'm in the background phase with one of Americas largest police departments, and these vlogs have continually kept me motivated, inspired; and determined to graduate the academy.
Damn Swat school is no joke man! Props to all those people going through that right now! It will be pay off in the long run! Does Swat get Woman Candidates as well?
We need more women. In the GIGN (french SWAT - special ops) there are 7 women for 343 men... and that's a problem IMHO especially when undercover females are required.
@@jas_bataille yeah, but they aren't part of the intervention force. All these women were part of the EPIGN. When the first women tried to enter the EPIGN, the tests were different than for men and they had to be toned down (and the women helped by the instructors during the swim tests) so that they could succeed. And so when the EPIGN became the Observation and Research section of GIGN the women in EPIGN entered GIGN as well. And I heard any women applying for GIGN couldn't enter the intervention force (due to tests being toned down) and so they where consistently redirected to the Observation and Research section (new EPIGN).
@@cdvideos8766 which is why GIGN decided to assign any woman to another unit that does research, gathers informations and arrest some criminals. It's because some women were part of the EPIGN, and when it was integrated into the GIGN to be their research and intel gathering unit GIGN was like : "okay, so we'll accept women, test them, and their tests will remain toned down as they were with the EPIGN. But due to the tests being toned down, we can't accept them as operators in our unit and so they will all be redirected to your unit where they'll have different missions."
I was behind with the vlogs but today I managed to watch all three at the time - and to do it before going to bed at the police academy dormitory: life is good again. :)
wow this swat school is very very intense alot of hard work you have to do just to be in the swat team unit but it was a great vlog nick i loved it hope you do more i want to keep seeing. what happens next i give it a thumbs up
I have no clue but what i think is: since you will be with them on their missions and based on you are first an operator then a medic, i would say yes you go through the same training. This was asked 1 year ago, hopefully you got the answer long time ago
3:59 The Brazilian student are spelling the "Our Father in Heaven" prayer. Thats the Brazilian version in portuguese. I can say he came out Victória - ES or Rio de Janeiro - RJ state by his accent. Great respect to this officer 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I have no idea, maybe a Dutch ex-soldier dunno, or just bought at a local army collecters store, also i have not any clue if you are Dutch like me but okay, have a nice week
Hey Nick, please ask the officer how to prepare for SWAT, not regarding physical training, but what other skills you should master and how. (f.e. your memory or observation)
I can't help but feel like I've seen that one SWAT officer before, I think he was on the show Miami SWAT. I'll have to watch the show again to check (it's on Netflix for anyone interested)
Not in Miami or thinking of joining your PD, but I was curious to know if you guys allow your SWAT members to setup their own kit with some gucci gear or is issued gear the only thing allowed to be used?
Biess133 a Dutch officer actually gave it to our SWAT cadres when he attended the school. It's thick, so they use it so the sim rounds won't affect them as much.
jonte123321 what mean is in a season one vlog with Sargent Diaz she had a sedan with no cage do ranks above her have cars like that or different like tahoes explores crown vids impalas.
How were the guy from Swiss and Brazil able to join, I am a Greencard holder from The Netherlands and I want to join the CPD Swat Team but I can't join the police academy till I am 5 years a holder how does it work for you guys?
yo nick the swat team looks great sorry some of then didn't make it but they can always try next time hey guys never give up on your dreams peace see you next week still watching
Hi there, I am wondering if city police can transfer to different cities even though they only passed the police academy for one city. Does the police academy only need to be passed once? Then you can transfer cities as you wish? Thanks!
God bless whoever allows you to make these videos because quite a few departments out there have management with a stick up their ass and they would never tolerate something like the "Warrior's Helmet," let alone filming that and then having an officer parodied with a half-eaten donut while talking about it. Well done.
"what's a warriors helmet"
"it's a helmet that warriors wear"
That officer deserves a promotion
That cop life edit lmaooo😂😂😂😂
legit!
“So, whats the warriors helmet.” “Its the helmet warriors wear.” COP LIFE🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩
Its hilarious and I like it It develops team pride
I'd wear that hat, any day.

It's always a sad moment when the Miami police vlogs come to an end!
you can always go back and have a season 1 vlogathon!
When I grow I want to be a SWAT officer. These Vlogs are helping me tremendously.
Awesome vlog Nick. Im so proud to see Brazilian officer part of this SWAT school 💪🏽 Keep the good work boys 🇧🇷

"Weakness leaving the body" the most overused phrase anywhere on earth.
JayDee it is true but overused
Over used
weird. i never heard of it before. dumb ass.
No the most overused phrase is "good vibes"
Embrace the suck will soon be a thing watch.

Last time I was this early Nick was still breakdancing to the running man challenge.
woOooOo!
The scenario briefing they were getting is scary similar to what the SWAT Team in Parkland,FL probably received.
lol this channel is badass !
Dam fam didn't expect to see jtlobster on the swat vids👌
It was badass
@Diego Fox haha😐
So far one of my favorite vlogs, thanks again. Can not wait to meet you on the force. #Hooah #NicksPromotion2k17
G'day Miami PD. This is 100% rock & roll! To say that this is motivating is an understatement.
Stay safe! From Australia.
I swear this was one of the best vids u made so far great job

I was behind with the vlogs but today I managed to watch all three at the time - and to do it before going to bed at the police academy dormitory: life is good again. :)
You are always doing an awesome job! Thanks for making such great videos to appreciate all of the hard work you guys do.
I love the swat school vlogs !!! Keep em up !
Love how that SWAT officer was like "you got a problem with the warriors helmet?"
Here at the Lawrence Township police there was swat training going on today
the guy at the end who said "mpd cribs" needs to be in more videos
wow this swat school is very very intense alot of hard work you have to do just to be in the swat team unit but it was a great vlog nick i loved it hope you do more i want to keep seeing. what happens next i give it a thumbs up
I'm a police officer in the state of Paraíba in Brazil. Very good vlog!! I didn't know that Brazilians do SWAT.
my city should do what you guys out in the 305 are doing, Keep up the good work! y'all giving me a different perspective on officers
23 rocking 5.11 sling, did it cost him an arm and a leg lol. That Surefire look like it could start one. Great vlog!
i saw at 17:09 the man was wearing NL woodland camo is there someone dutch in that unit or?
Do SWAT medics go through this process in addition to their tactical medic training? Or is their process kind of their own entity in a way?
I have no clue but what i think is: since you will be with them on their missions and based on you are first an operator then a medic, i would say yes you go through the same training. This was asked 1 year ago, hopefully you got the answer long time ago
SWAT Medics in Miami are part time paramedics and fire fighters.
This is so awesome Nick, if you have time just make a vlog about traffic unit of MPD next time, thanks
Didn't realize how grueling S.W.A.T. school was. btw thanks Nick for doing the vlogs, much appreciated. Keep up the great work!👌
3:48 ah yes the classic humor & yet drop dead serious look..
you should check out the NYSP SORT School 2 week hell week and 6 month academy ... blows this away
Hi from Australia. Love the vlogs. Awesome work. always are great and educational
Just a random question why is the gyt at 17:21 wearing a Dutch uniform or atleast patch and camo?
it's a dutch uniform :)
Nick, you should show a little of the water rescue and MPD dive team
Nick these vlogs are great keep it up!
Nick! Is that guy at 4:06 Brazilian?
these were a ton of fun to watch, thanks!
So my question is how the cadre of training so what happens if they had a call out in the middle of training
I know I'm 3 years late but why were there a lot more than the 13 students on the run? Who were they?
this looks like a combo of USMC Basic Recon Course/BUDS.... well more like Recon, considering most of the guys are very likely prior Marines.
what are those metal things on the side of the swat truck 17:39?
Folding rungs to climb to the top of it.
Why is that guy at 17:22 wearing a dutch army suit ???
I have no idea, maybe a Dutch ex-soldier dunno, or just bought at a local army collecters store, also i have not any clue if you are Dutch like me but okay, have a nice week
Ercan yuksel probably just used for training.
Ercan yuksel Did you watch the video? At 4:35 they'll tell you why
Ernesto Martinez no they don't, hè said Swiss and Brazilian. nothing about dutch students.
it was given to Ofc. Guzman during a SWAT school where a dutch officer attended. They use it because its thick and absorbs the sim round.
Those training rounds look too close to real shells. Figured they be orange or neon green just to differentiate. Awesome video!! Love it!!
Hey Nick, please ask the officer how to prepare for SWAT, not regarding physical training, but what other skills you should master and how. (f.e. your memory or observation)
Nick you always have the greatest bumper music.
also how intense is the training? like the runs etc, is there any plan? I'm interested to see.

Why was officer herome ( sorry if i got it wrong ) wearing a dutch flag on his uniform in the exercise?
why dont they use a dual point plate on plate cover. last man is clearing whil the file moves through the hall way
17:23 Is that a Dutch Royal Army uniform?
jup
Resident evil 4 is the first thing that pops in my head after seeing the facility
3:59, brazilian?
I’ve always wanted to go swat after getting out of the Navy, and this looks easy asf comparatives to the training I will have to go through!!
Clayton LaChance they should just give you a free pass
Navy is a joke, you’ll fail because you got that seamen mentality.
Love these videos, hopefully joining Baltimore Police department the first of the year.
Did you join?
@@elchuzalongo4339 Baltimore city was a no go i don't know why but I have a PFT with Baltimore County police coming up soon.

Good video. You can tell the song at 9:01
Hey Nick, How many miles did they run that day?? Greetings and thanks for your job.
So if they complete the SWAT school are they guaranteed a spot on the SWAT team or is it like a selection?
may I ask what the song played at 08:00 is ? thank you in advance
Grappig om te zien dat ze in Amerika Nederlandse uitrusting gebruiken voor bad Guys
When moving through the building slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
Was the guy at 17:22 wearing a Dutch combat jacket?
Biess133 he is ahaha
That's really cool, I wonder how they got it! :p
Biess133 a Dutch officer actually gave it to our SWAT cadres when he attended the school. It's thick, so they use it so the sim rounds won't affect them as much.
Fun little fact! :) Thanks for the reply.
headed to South Florida this week, can't wait!

Honest opinions does anyone think that this is tougher than army or marines boot camp? Excluding S.E.A.L. Training
Hi Nick, could you tell me what agency the brazilian is part of? And how does it work to a overseas agency get the USA SWAT training. Thanks!
