Studio 14 was one of the best shows on Saturdays to record. My sisters introduced me to Studio 14 and we would have so much fun. Steve Crosno was the best Dj ever and we really miss you. I used to tape every Studio 14 show but as the years went by I lost the tapes. I had most of all the shows where I would come out with my sisters. Boy, have I changed from that time to now. The years and decades have really gone by. It was a blast to cinr out on Tv. Excellent Memories!!!!
+Virginia Nieves yes indeed ,thank you for your comments and if you ever come accross any of those recordings , I will be glad to transfer them into digital format for you .. cheers !!
I was in Fabens 80s I was 15 didn't have a car to go but this was good as next thing to American bandstand but the only thing I didn't like was that some people would on the show embarrass him talk down to him I didn't like that I wanted to collaborate them but he was a nice guy loved him playing our music being a fun guy understanding us teenagers
I sure Miss All These Great Momments from My Past...During my Higj School Years 85-89 With my best friend Arturo would ride the bus from Zaragoza to la plazita the would tranfer to another bus unless we miss and walked ti Steve Crosnos Studio 14 Every other Saturday and stayed for both recordings and changed outfits..Steve is lengendary made so much in pur comunity..RIP STEVE CROSNO..FROM Jesus Jose Renteria Mr.Vaquero Latino International 2014-2015,Mr. Wild West Vaquero Latino International 2014-2005,Mr.Noche Vaquero Latino International & Mr.Sympatia Vaquero Latino International 2014-2005 JjRVaquero From El Paso,Texas now Living In Sin City Las Vegas,Nevada
I live in NYC now and my dad is retired Army living in Ga. We were stationed at Ft.Bliss 1965-1970. I went to Jesuit, then Burges High, Class of 1969. Steve had "Crozno"s Hop" every Sat. afternoon, at the studios of KELP-TV Ch.13. I danced on the show from Fall 1967, when I was 16, to 1969, when I was 18. Many celebrities would come on and lip-sink to their hits. James Brown was an annual regular. His concerts were HUGE at El Paso County Coliseum!! The African-American community, in El Paso was miniscule; therefore, the majority of concert goers were Mexican-Americans!! In my time there, Kemp Ford would present James Brown with a new Mustang, driven in, onto the dancefloor!! In my time, a 67, 68 & 69. The cars were always light metallic green, with a sand-colored vinyl roof. Steve would present the keys to Mr.Brown, who flew into El Paso on his private Lear Jet (one of the earliest; only he, Elvis and Sinatra). We danced behind the celebrities. The one's that come to mind, are James Brown, Sonny Osuna, Etta James singing her hit, "At Last" and "Tell Mama". Before the show changed to color cameras; we were told not to wear white, because that would cause an ugly glare on the TV screen. Those were the days!! RIP Steve Crozno and James Brown!!
I remember being like 7 or 8, watching studio 14 every Saturday with my cousins..... Man, so many memories. The minute Crosno said Madonna, I immediately shouted "la marana!!!" staring at my computer screen. lol. Those who knew Crosno knew the drill. Damm I miss that man.
