- I normally feel intimidated by the thought of making an animatic, but I got bored and I guess my tablet not working isn't something to stop me(although I ran out of paper towards the end, which is why there isn't much more happening there lol)
That being said, I am not an animatic channel, this was just for fun

Ironically, despite your situation, I can say that as an animation student studying in a bachelor's degree for this? These storyboards/ this animatic is actually a LOT more in line with how boards and animatics were made back in the day!
Less boards and fluidity like it is in modern 'animatics' (which is honestly just full rough animation at this rate), just enough to bring out the important beats and blocking of the scene. Some bits are faster, some bits are slower, and it ultimately leaves room for the animators to do whatever they want to do to add pizazz.
There were a *few* blocking issues in these boards (you did put Veronica on the left side of screen a few times when she was supposed to be right, whereas JD was already established on the left, if that makes any sense), but otherwise you got it down pat.
Despite the above critique I LOVED when Veronica **purposely** went right to left and JD left to right, gently foreshadowing that while Veronica has gotten out of this hell for now, she's got a big storm coming and JD is going to keep invading her.
All in all, while you do have room for improvement, you made every board count and it was easy to understand the story behind it. Keep it up and keep practicing!

this song and this animatic deserve waaayyy more recognition. the fact that it is traditional among so many digital ones make it even better imo.

I love how you portray their emotions and also the part where Veronica slaps JD's hand ("damn bitch" XD), the part with the light-dark contrast (background labelled "red" lmao), and the part where Veronica breaks off the chains holding her back. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! 😍😍😍💖💖💖

I know I’m eleven months late, but this is *REALLY* good. I mean it. The amount of emotion you were able to portray it just- baffles me. And the camera shots. When you made the screen ‘red’ for when JD was getting angry it was just, **chef’s kiss** perfection. When he looked down in sheer horror at the fact that he almost harmed Veronica, I felt the pain in his eyes. And how you portrayed Veronica breaking from her chains in her relationship was straight up beautiful. You’re truly going places. *:D*
