Notes (hope this helps)
Morning Routine*:
-Cleanse skin
*optional if you use a mask: apply mask and rinse off*
-Toner (also optional) gets the dirt and excess makeup + purifies
Serums:
-Vitamin C on first (penetrates into skin, most effective, recommends putting on FIRST)
Note: Don’t use AHA/BHA with vitamin C: If you have to, alternate Vitamin C
Water based FIRST/after Vitamin C: “Buffet”, Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl 3000
- Niacinamide (also optional, researched that it’s OK to use with Vitamin C)
-OILS (don’t use AHA/BHA with vitamin C): come before moisturizer to avoid pilling
-Eye cream
-Moisturizer
SPF
*pilling (products are reacting to each other): wash face all over again and start over
Nighttime Skin Routine
-Remove makeup (as advised per Hyram, don’t use makeup wipes!!), so makeup removing balm, oil cleanser, etc
-Cleanse (double cleanse)
-*optional* Mask, leave on for recommended time, rinse off
-Toner
-Water Based Serums: “Buffet”, Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl 3000, + Niacinamide
If using Retinal/Retinoids: *Do NOT incorporate Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, etc
-Retinoid/Retinal (let it sit)
-Eye Cream/Serum (I personally use the Caffeine Solution from The Ordinary since eye creams are really just overpriced moisturizers )
-Moisturize
Morning No No’s
If using lactic acid, Salicylic Acid:
-DON’T use vitamin C, and alternate days of product usage
Nighttime No No’s
-uses glycolic toning acid at night
-Don’t use any acids with Retina/Retinoids including the glycolic toner
Note:
- you can switch up days so one day you can use your glycolic acid, lactic acid, retinol, retinoid, etc.
-Using products all together will make your skin very sensitive and cancel out the benefits of the products
What to know which acid to use:
Lactic Acid: no oily skin, not acne prone (normal to dry skin)
-Benefits: clean inside walls of pores
Glycolic Acid: ANYONE
-Benefits: dark spots, past acne scarring, redness, uneven skin tone, texture, fine lines and wrinkles (DO NOT USE when applying Retinoids/Retinal)
Salicylic Acid: acne prone (oily skin)
Thank you 🙏
Can I use glycolic acid at night and vitamin c in the morning?
Thank you for this. Please help! I have purchased the cleanser, Buffet, Hyaluronic Acid 2%, Granactive Retinoid 2%, Moisturizer. Is my AM routine cleanser, Buffet, Hyaluronic Acid, and moisturizer? And the PM cleanser, Buffet, Hyaluronic Acid, Granactive Retinoid then moisturizer? Does this sound correct?
Thank you, God bless! 🙏💛
Thanks 🙏
I'm so glad i found you, you have cleared up so much fore me. I am relatively new to The Ordinary line, i love these products but didn't know how to use them. Thank You.

Glad it was helpful! 😉
I’d love a list of suggested products to mix from the ordinary for morning and evening in a printable form!
I would like you to do skin care for mature women on ordinary skin care products for AM and PM thank you so much and I have been watching every time you download the video
My Derm has me on Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide mix (morning topical and is done every three days) and Tretinoin(night topical). I just don't know how to layer these topicals with my products but my routine consists of CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, CeraVe Hyralaunic Acid, Cerave AM moisturizer. Then at night, it is: CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, Tretinoin, PM Cerave moisturizer (should I use serum too). They're not in that order but I need help. :) Hopefully you see this!!
Ok so..
Morning: Cerave Cleanser, Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Clindamycin/benzoyl peroxide, moisturizer, SPF
Night; Cerave Cleanser, Hyaluronic Acid Serum (optional), Tretinoin, Moisturizer..
I hope this helps!
@@SincerelyMissAsh thank you so much!
Excellent topic. I’ve been meaning to research this!
Thanks so much! Hope you find it helpful!
It was a very informative video! Thank you. It made me realize that I will buy first Nira because I can use it easily and effortlessly every day. For now, the eye area is the one that botters me the most. At the end of the year, I will probably get a myolift after finishing the hair laser at home. I definitely like your advice to introduce one device at a time. Thank you!
Thank you for clearing all of my doubts
You're welcome! Glad you found the video helpful💗
So so helpful! Thank you!
This video was very informative. 😊
Can you mix Murula oil, rosehip oil, plant derived squalene oil and jojoba oil together? What type of moisturizer do you use?
Oh Girl I’d have to be the Queen of Pilling until I finally found what worked for me, I was over exfoliating at night and my face in the morning was just a Pilling Big Mess Lol 😂, now I only use a gentle cleanser at night with My Retinol and exfoliate in the morning then I use my Tatcha Essence, Vitamin C, Moisturiser and Sunscreen, should I be putting my Vitamin C on before my Tatcha Essence? I’ve had No Pilling since doing this routine...what’s worse is when you go to put your makeup on and your face is just Pilling away....Loving your videos...especially how you explain everything...Thank You for your Time 💖💖💖🇦🇺
Omg isn't it annoying?🙄 The worst part is putting your makeup on like you said to find that everything is pilling and is a complete mess. UGH, you just have to wash your face all over again lol.
The way you are applying your products is perfect. No, don't put the vitamin c before you're essence, apply the vitamin c after your essence.
Thank you so much🤗
Sincerely Miss Ash Thank You Kindly for your response, I just wasn’t sure if I was doing it right, I’ve only just added the essence into my skincare routine and really loving it....And Best Part....No Pilling when applying my makeup 🤗🤗😘😘
I just found out that The Ordinary advises against combining their Buffet with vitamin C (ascorbic acid).
It is fine to mix Buffet with vitamin C derivatives (like sodium Ascorbyl phosphate, Ascorbyl Glucoside, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, etc). Just not ascorbic acid.
So helpful video! Thanks!
I am so happy got so much information about skin care routine 🥰🥰 thank you so much for this video ❤️love from nepal 🇳🇵
Glad you liked it!!
Thank you🥰
Wow. Thank you so much for this video. I’m so glad I found your channel! I had been surfing through various skincare videos and not getting the info that I needed. You basically answered all my questions in this clear and concise video. Thank you!!
Aw thank you so much. I am glad I was able to answer all of your questions.
Niacinamide can be used twice a day but it all depends on your skin. If you have constant acne, black heads and oily skin then use it everyday. There isn't a need for twice a day but you definitely can.. I only use the Niacinamide when I am breaking out or feel some acne starting but when my face is calm and no pimples I don't use it.
As for the acids, you could use Glycolic one night, lactic the other night and the salicylic another night and repeat cycle again. If your skin is more sensitive then use one acid one night skip the next night and not use any acid and then the third night use another acid and so on. Does this make sense? lol! That is only if you have sensitive skin but if you don't then it doesn't matter what acid you use at night as long as you are not using all three in one night.
Love you videos! Thanks for all the information.
Thank you so much Adrianna!
Wow😍...You really shared a very detailed version of this kinda information. I'm so glad that I found your channel, also I didn't forget to subscribe and turn on the notifications:)...I want to makw sure of my skin care routine! Can you please help me?......In morning- Neutrogena Oil free Acne Wash Daily Scrub(Orange one), Glycolic Acid 7% Tonning Sltn, The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Cera ve Moisturizing Lotion, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Face Sunscreen SPF 30.......So this is my morning routine!...What should be the night one?
Hi Miss Ash, thank you for this. I read that you should not use the buffet with vitamin c or retinol. I use timeless vitamin c L ASCORBIC ACID and Tretinoin at night. I’m confused I also thought HA has to be used on damp skin after cleansing skin for better absorption and hydration.
You can use Buffet with Retinol or Buffet with Tretinoin (especially if your skin is ok with this pairing). HA should be applied to damp skin for better absorption..
I would be using Vitamin C in the morning and Tretinoin at night. If used together this can be a harsh pairing.
@@SincerelyMissAsh thank you so much !
Oh My! Finally my confusion is cleared for acidic products generally. Thank you so much ❤️
Happy to help🤗
Should oils be applied before water based moisturizers as well, or after?
Great video, i'm so happy i found your channel 💎
Aw thank you so much and welcome 🙋🏼♀️
What kind of water based moisturizer are you using? I would say an oil would still go on first as your moisturizer is your last step and product.
Hi Ash, thank you & Hi from sunny Perth Australia 🌞 I know you mentioned you put lactic acid on 1st before Buffet or Matrixyl, so if Im using the Ordinary AHA 7% toner at night does the same apply to use that toner first then buffet ect? I've heard peptides go 1st. It's very confusing. Pls advise. PS: Canada is on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Hi Kelly,
Australia is definitely on my bucket list lol😉
Skincare can be confusing for sure. You definitely want to use your Ordinary Toner first then followed by your Buffet etc... I always put my peptides first (buffet) before my other serums but when I am using an acid like the lactic I apply it first as it's a little more watery than the Buffet.
Its very helpful to me as a beginner, thank you Ms.Ash
Glad it was helpful!🥰
@@SincerelyMissAsh all your videos in your channel im watching it one by one 😊. By the way im from Philippines. I'm a subscriber also😍
Aw thank you for watching and subbing 🤗
Wow fantastic you are great thanks for all th tips you tells every thing very deeply 🤗wonderfull🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much!!!😉
Thanks for the great video. I have a doubt, Sunday Riley recommendation is Luna then Good Genes. It will be Retinol + Latic Acid. And what to do??
You don’t want to be using a Retinol and a lactic acid together in one skincare routine.
Hello! The Ordinary website suggests not to use peptides (Buffet, Matrixyl etc) with pure Vitamin C (LAA/ELAA). So i am carefull about that because i also use the Buffet and for vitamin C serum i use Paula's Choice C15 Super Booster. The Ordinary website also says not to combine Vitamin C with Niacinamide so i am not sure about combining those two together yet....
Hi there,
I read the same thing regarding the vitamin c and peptides but when I looked further and did some more research on this I read multiple articles that said as long as you wait until your vitamin c is dry before applying a peptide is fine. Combining a vitamin c with AHA's and BHA's is definitely not recommended.
As for the Niacinamide, I did see that on the Ordinary website as well but studies have shown that Niacinamide and Vitamin C work well together. The new Summer Friday's Vitamin C serum has Niacinamide in it as well to give you an example.
Great video Ash!
Thank you🤗
i’ve always heard moisturizer first and then oil? 😭
A lot of people will apply a moisturizer before an oil and vice versa. There is a lot of mixed thoughts on this. I like to do the opposite to what you said because I never experience pilling that way. Whenever I do the opposite it doesn't work out for me..
Hallelujah someone who puts oils first!
Just what I needed! Thank you!
You're so welcome!
Hi, how would you later if your using nip fab gycolic pads? I usually use those right after cleaner. Then I use my vitamin c, then my Elixar by Sarah serum and my beliefs pest serum and then my oils. It seems if I do the pads last it would clean off all my skincare. I need help PLEASE!!!! I'm also 44 and have dry mature skin.
You shouldn't be using your glycolic pads along with your vitamin c in one routine. Vitamin C is best to be used in the morning and glycolic at night. As long as you separate the two you will be fine.
So glad I found you ❤️ please help me 🥺
Is this correct for pm:
1. Sensai Oil cleanser
2. Cerave Foaming Gel cleanser
3. Skinceuticals Hyaluronic Acid serum/ or the ordinary Buffet Serum on wet skin
4. the ordinary Niacinamid+1% Zink (Right after applying the hyaluronic serum, without a wait time)
5. Cerave Moisturizing Lotion
Wait till my face is dry
6. Prescription Tretinoin
7. optional after 30min of waiting moisturizing cream
In the am:
1. Cerave Salicylic Acid Gel Cleanser
2.Skinceuticals Phloretin CF serum on damp skin
3. Skinceuticals Blemish Age Defense serum OR Azelaic Acid gel on dry skin
wait 20min for the actives to absorb (not sure about the waiting time)
4.Cetaphil SPF
wait 20min for sunscreen to absorb (again not sure about waiting time)
5. Primer, Make Up
Thank you very much ❤️
Hey there!!
Your routines look great!!
@@SincerelyMissAsh thank you so so much ❤️❤️🌷
This is so helpful! When would you apply an exfoliant that has BHA? Can you apply that at night if you apply vitamin c serum in the morning? Thank you!
Hey!!
Yes! Apply your acids at night and vitamin c in the morning 😉
Hello there.
Toner is a most to moisturize and get the skin to the normal ph level mostly basic skin care cleanser toner cream then sun screen
Thank you 💜
I am starting to use a cleanser that has salicylic acid (Paula's choice clear cleanser) and I also use a glycolic acid 10% toner three times a week, but I'm worried that combination might over exfoliate my skin. Do you think it's ok to use both AHAs and BHAs in the same routine three times a week? I have lots of breakouts and want to work towards clear skin. I always follow with HA and a moisturizer.
I love your channel! thanks for the great videos!
Hi Annie,
If you are not used to using AHA's and BHA's and now you are starting to incorporate them into your skincare routine then I would probably not combine the cleanser and toner together right away. Try using the cleanser three times per week like you said and see how your skin is. If you don't see any dryness then I would slowly incorporate the toner maybe once that week in combination with the cleanser and wait a few days and see how you are. If you are fine then the following week add the toner in 2 times that week (leaving several days in-between).. I would be doing this at nighttime..
Usually you don't want to combine strong acids with strong acids as it can irritate the skin more and cause more dryness but some people do and they love the pairing and see great results. So judge based on how your skin does and go from there 🤗
@@SincerelyMissAsh thank you so much for such a detailed reply! I really appreciate it and will definitely be following your advice! :)
You're very welcome.. Good luck 🤗
Can you clarify something for me? I heard you weren’t supposed to use a peptide with Vitamin C. I use a pure vitamin C and I use The Ordinary Buffet. I thought I wasn’t supposed to use the Buffet with the Vitamin C.
That is correct.. You can still use the vitamin c in the morning and the buffet at night but not in the same routine.
Oh thank you so much for your response. I have learned so much from you in trying to take better care of my skin after neglecting it for so long. Sunscreen is still a major issue since I don’t like ordering things online but my store doesn’t carry everyone’s favorite drugstore brands. I’ve been watching videos for 3 days on them.
Love all your very helpful videos Ash. Would like to know if I can use Buffet with an L ascorbic acid in the morning and Buffet with Ordinary glycolic acid at night. Hope you can help. thanks very much
Yes you can. Just make sure that the Vitamin C is put down first. Make sure your face is completely dry before adding the Buffet. Reason being is because sometimes the buffet (peptides) can change the potency of the Vitamin C so if you apply peptides after when skin is completely dry it won't change the potency as much.
Hi plz i need help i have four products from the ordinary
The vitamin c
Rosehip oil
And niacinamide
How can i use them
Hi there,
Vitamin C in the morning
Niacinamide and Rose Hip at night..
What about peptide and vitamine c
Peptides shouldn't be used with Vitamin C.
I love your videos! ive just subscribed to your channel and it's so helpful. I wondered if you can advise me if my AM routine is correct please?
1.Cleanser (Dermalogica
) 2.Gentle toner
3. Vitamin C serum (obaji)
4.Ordinary Amino Acids + B5
5.The ordinary Pycnogenol 5%
6.Ordinary moisturizer/ dermalogica calm water gel
7.Eye cream (elemis)
8.SPF (deralogica/the ordinary)
Any advise would be appreciated. Many thanks
Hi there and thank you for subscribing and sorry for my delayed reply!!
Yes, you're routine looks good to me.. 🤗
What about peptides?
What about it?
Thank u so much very helpful. Night time when should I use my retinol ?
Thanks! A Retinol should be your last product that you lay down. If you have to you can apply a moisturizer on top but it’s not necessary.
Great video! Would I put the vitamin c suspension silicon 30% under water based serums or near the end before sunscreen?
You would want to apply the Suspension after serums and before moisturizer/ sunscreen.
@@SincerelyMissAsh Thank you!
After cleansing and after using my NIOD MIST, in the morning, which other serums and in what order could I incorporate them?
Currently I have the following:
1.amino acid +B5
2.manine hyaluranic OR buffet
3.pucnogenol 5%
And then, what can I use at nights since I have in my routine RETIN A anslo?
Thank you!
You can definitely use your NIOD mist with those three products for the morning and you can definitely use these products with your Retin-A at night as well if you really wanted to!
@@SincerelyMissAsh Truly thank you (ΕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΩ) from Greece!
Excellent.. Covered it all..
I am so confused! I am trying to keep my skincare routine simple. I an currently using the Ordinary hyaluronic acid 2% + B5 daily am and pm. I want to add vitamin C and a retinol. Can you use the Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid together am and pm. I would use the retinol weekly in the pm with no other product (I’m assuming). I use the AHA 30% BHA 2% peeling solution twice a week. Help!
Hey there,
You can definitely use the Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C together. Retinol can also be used with the Hyaluronic Acid if you wish or alone.
The nights you are not using the Retinol use the AHA 30% BHA 2%.
Thank you for your quick response!
Can you mix vitamine c with hylaronic acid or is not possible to mix vit c with an acid?
You can use Vitamin C with Hyaluronic Acid yes...
you are amazing so wonderful to listen to you.
Aw thank you so much☺️
Great advice, very helpful.
Thank youuu
Are you a licensed esthetician or cosmetologist? New to this channel...
Also...many moisturizers are water based...so why use an oil prior to? It makes sense to use a moisturizer so it can soak in and then lock it in with an oil...
I once worked as a cosmetician and was certified at that time.
An oil is not a mandatory step but some people like to incorporate it for more moisture and anti-aging. An oil should go before a moisturizer for the proper method of applying products to eliminate pilling.
When can I use the ordinary azelaic acid alpha arbutin in the am?
You would want to apply your Alpha Arbutin after cleanser and then Azelaic Acid afterwards before moisturizer and sunscreen ☺️
question. i use vitamin e oil and the neutrogena hydro boost water gel, which one do i use first ?
Use the oil first and then the hydro boost🤗
Hi Miss Ash, pls. correct me if I am wrong, P.M. routine, Cleanse, Toner, Buffet, Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl, Niacinamide, Eye Cream and Moisturizer. Can I add Vit. C also? Thank you!
Hi there,
I would apply HA before the Buffet and/or matrixyl but everything else in that routine is spot on. Note: You don't have to apply Buffet and Matrixyl together as they are doing the same thing (Buffet has more ingredients) so maybe to make room for the Vitamin C use the Matrixyl on your neck..
Vitamin C can conflict with peptides making the vitamin c less potent. If you can use it in the morning that might be better (as long as you're not using acids) but if not make sure your vitamin c is completely dry before applying your buffet or Matrixyl.
@@SincerelyMissAsh thank you, Miss Ash!
I've been watching your videos on the ordinary products and ordered some products, however unable to order the AHA peel ans some retinol as they aren't available to me in Canada, I live in Toronto. I am wondering how you got some of those products. Please share
I originally had a friend that went to California and she ended up bringing me back the AHA + BHA peel. Us Canadians CAN get the peeling solution from Beautybay here is the link: bit.ly/2RhGZdQ it is sold out right now but keep checking back as this will get shipped here. I haven't ordered from Beauty Bay yet but I know some of my Canadian followers that have and had no issues.
Yor videos are so helpful! Can I use my glycolic toner with hyaluronic acid h5? Because you have said that isn't good mixing acids. Thank u so much!!❤
Thank you!
Yes you can use those two together. A HA isn't an acid that exfoliates your skin so with that being said you can of course use a HA with any product.
@@SincerelyMissAsh thank you very much!! I really appreciate your answer, I didn't expect a reply because you've got so many messages. That was a great surprise!!
I am so glad to hear I can use my Vitamin C, my Buffet and my Niacinimide all at the same time. This was my biggest question.
You say morning/night routine use toner "toner each routine" but your not meaning toning solution right? What toner do you use.?
I don't use a toner anymore in my skincare routines because they are really not necessary to have and I am trying to simplify my routines.. They are nice to use though especially if they have good ingredients in them... No, I wasn't meaning the toning solution from the Ordinary. That should only be used in the evening (a few nights a week) and I still do recommend toners that have "actives" in them like acids as these are really beneficial to the skin..
@@SincerelyMissAsh Thank you so much for replying, im soooo super new to all this I just now recently order a few ordinary products & im trying to start a good routine i just really dont want to mess up an do wrong or something that won't even work!!
I totally understand... I do have some Ordinary skincare routines on my channel (3 in total) as examples of what someone could do for a morning and night.. I also have a video on "What products not to mix" and "what products you can mix" from the Ordinary.. These will help out a lot!🥰
hi, i was wondering if i have a prescription tretinoin gel (0.025%) could i mix it with the ordinary ascorbic acid 8% + alpha arbutin 2%? i love your videos btw, very informative💓
Thank you so much!
I would not mix it with the Ordinary Ascorbic Acid with Arbutin because that is your vitamin c but you could in fact purchase a separate serum that is just Alpha Arbutin by the Ordinary. You can apply that water based serum first then your Tretinoin on top. Alpha Arbutin is also a skin lighter (more mild) to help with hyper pigmentation. You can use the Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin 2% in the morning though and the Tretinoin in the p.m.
If you don’t have hyperpigmentation concerns then don’t bother purchasing the separate alpha Arbutin.
Thank you Miss Ash
Thank you!
1. Serums come after a toner and before moisturizers and oils.
2. There is no need to use the Copper Peptide with Matrixyl (use one or the other in one routine) and yes you can use it with Niacinamide.
3. You could be adding too much Hyaluronic Acid. Use 2-3 drops and gently massage into skin.
4. Retin-A comes before a moisturizer.
Can I use retinol one day and use AHA + BHA peeling the next? Or will it be best to wait a few days in between?
It depends on how many times a week you use the retinol and it also depends on your skin tolerance to acids. There is nothing wrong with using the peeling solution the next day but if you see sensitivities then leave more days in between...
@@SincerelyMissAsh YOU'RE AMAZING! Thank you!!🤗
Hi☺️ is it okay to use aha/bha peeling solution then use HA?
Yes!
Do you use essences?
I use the Isntree Green Tea Toner: bit.ly/2NP7HMh
After applying my serums, I apply moisturizer with 30% spf. Do I still need to use sunscreen? I just started doing the tretinoin cream treatments.
I would still use a separate SPF especially if you're using Retin-a
very helpful.. Thank you ❤
Glad it was helpful!🥰🥰
Does this contradict your “products not to mix”? Because you said not to do all the acid products together. I just want to be sure.
Yeah you don't want to use acids with acids as it can make your skin more sensitive and more dryness can occur as well.. Is this what you mean?
@@SincerelyMissAsh I think I was confused because I have the Glycolic acid toner, but now I understand a bit better now. thank you for your response!
What if you use a hydroquinone in the night?
What doesn’t go with that?
I would say don't combine it with any other types of acids, retinol/retinoids, benzyol peroxide, hydrogen peroxide, Vitamin C. Anything that is "high strength" I wouldn't use with it.
plz help with my 3 products those are niacinamide, vit c suspension and buffet....all I can't u together after seeing ur videos....so how will I use these products...plz suggest
You can use your Vitamin C in the mornings and your Niacinamide and buffet (together) in the evenings..
@@SincerelyMissAsh thanks for ur prompt reply, confusion is in one of ur video u said not to use vit c and buffet together,so plz clear ds so that I can start my routine
@@throughmyeyes-alkarathore3340 The Ordinary Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% Solution and the L-Ascorbic Acid 100% Powder should not be used with peptides.. I have always been taught and my dermatologist has always told me to keep peptides separate from vitamin c's (any brand) to prevent conflicts so that is why I tell my viewers that but regarding the Ordinary, the remaining vitamin c's that they have they say there is no conflicts so technically you could use the two together..
@@SincerelyMissAsh ok thanku dear, will mix vit c suspension and buffet together and use at night,
Hello Ma'am
Can I use glycolic acid toner with niacinamide and vitamin c serum
Plz tell me
Don't use the glycolic with the vitamin c.. Vitamin C in the morning and Glycolic at night with the niacinamide.
Is there any other product I can use to replace the gycolic pads? I have horrible dry texture and need gycolic in everything I use... Lol if I skip, say morning or night my skin looks very dull. I'm not sure what I can do to keep it smooth and I've tried everything!
You could use a glycolic toner. I love the Ole Henriksen Dark Spot toner which is very potent...again though I would use that at night. You could always add a lactic Acid in the a.m.
Have you thought about using a retinol or a retin-a? This will help with dull skin, skins texture, anti-aging and so much more.
Hi ash I m using glycolic acid toner , niacinimide , ha and vitamin c 23% for my routine but I have lots of breakouts and black dots on my face coming so is this something which happens or any of the product is not suiting me , bcoz my skin looks more dull 😔😔
You don't want to use acids with vitamin c so I would use your vitamin c every morning with your HA, moisturizer and SPF and then at night use the glycolic acid toner. If you overuse the acids you could experience breakouts so I would try to use the toner a few times a week leaving several days in between and see if you notice a difference...
Hi ash I do the same I use vitamin c in mornings Along with moisturiser and sunscreen and use glycolic acid toner in the night along with ha and niacinimide. But I will try to use glycolic acid alternate days instead of daily and see if that makes any difference .
Thanks for the rply .
I use rosehip as a moisturiser, can I use it after retinol?
I wouldn't suggest it as a retinol is cream based and an oil should go on before a moisturizer.
do i put this in order? firstly, glycolic acid toner, secondly, 10% niacinamide and 1% zinc, then rose hip seed oil, lastly moisturiser?
This looks perfect!
Some people like to apply the oil after moisturizer but I do it the other way around as I don't experience pilling that way. Do the order that works for you 🤗
Sincerely Miss Ash okay thank you so much! :>
can i used aha/bha toner alone with the ordinary buffet copper peptides serum
No.. Don't combine Acids with Peptides (Buffet), Keep them separate either buffet in the morning or use the buffet on the nights you don't use AHA or any other type of acid.
Hi , I would like to know do you ever do chemical peel. If you did then which place is best in Toronto?
I have never had a chemical peel to be honest with you. I prefer to use acids for exfoliation. I won’t be able to recommend a place. I am sorry!
No problem thank you
Does the buffet have peptides In it? I thought you weren't supposed to use vitamin c and peptides at the same time. I'm so confused
Yes! The Buffet and Matrixyl are peptides. I don't use peptides with my Vitamin C.. I used to and then realized that I need to be separating them to get the best result from each product.
Sincerely Miss Ash thank you
hii ASH... I have [[[[hyaluronic acid, niacinamide +zinc 1%, retinol 1%, caffeine solution and absorbic acid 8%+ alpha arbutin 2%, from ordinary]]]. I have acne-prone skin because of PCOS and scars too. can you please tell me how to layer these +which ones should be mixed and not to be mixed. AM and PM layering. m still so confused. and please recommend if any ordinary product that i can add. this would be really helpful. please.
Hi,
Morning: Cleanser, Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin, Caffeine solution, moisturizer, SPF
Night: Cleanser, Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, caffeine solution, Retinol, Moisturizer
I hope this helps!
@@SincerelyMissAsh thanks so much ash. You made it easier for me.
@@SincerelyMissAsh I tried now this one. But after HA and nicainmide when I applied retinol it's peeling off in white matter thing. I applied only 2 3 drops of all. Please suggest.
@@kaurbinni634 Ok this can happen.. It can sometimes be the HA or the Niacinamide.. Try to eliminate one of them and see what happens...
Hey you are sooo pretty! How old are you? Sorry for the question but you are so young to be using these products!
Aw thank you so much!!
I am 34..
@@SincerelyMissAsh you could easily pass for 24, keep up whatever you're doing😊
Hi Ashley, you are so knowlegable, I love your videos 🥰 Do you have a great liquid vitamin C serum to recommend?
Why thank you😉 I like the Drunk Elephant Vitamin C or the Summer Friday's Vitamin C is nice as well!
Sincerely Miss Ash thank you 😉
How I can use The Ordinary Matrixyl 10%+ha whit Ordinary Lactic Acid 5%+ha and vitamin c? Plz quide
I would do Lactic Acid first then the Matrixyl. It really doesn't matter which one goes on first as they are both water based serums. As for the Vitamin C, you do not want to combine it with the Lactic Acid so I would be alternating days when incorporating the Lactic Acid and Vitamin C.
When you're using the Vitamin C, apply it first then your Matrixyl. The next day do your Lactic Acid and Matrixyl.
Thank you so much 🤗
Buffe serum with vitamin c correct ?!!
Keep them separate. Vitamin C in the morning and Buffet at night..
You said in your am routine to use Vit C then serums and you included buffet , matrixyl , and H.A. !!! So I can see there is confusion here. No peptides with Vit C?
I used to use the two together and then realized I should be using the two separately.. It won't do any harm to your skin if you use them together but it's best to keep them separate for any potential conflict with potency.. No peptides with Vitamin C..
Very helpful thank you . You were recommended by @Lvcoffeelver
So happy to hear that..
Oh really? That was so nice of her☺️
Can i top up the alpha-arbutin 2% + HA with the Azelaic acid Suspension 10%
Yes definitely!
@@SincerelyMissAsh Thank you for replying! I always enjoy the information you provide 😌 in your videos. I have uneven skintone and texture. For PM, can I layer Azelaic acid suspension 10% on top of the Buffet as well?
Aw thank you... The Ordinary recommends not to use acids with peptides as these can conflict so if there is a way to use them separately I would suggest that. Maybe use the Azelaic on Monday and Buffet on Tuesday and so on...
@@SincerelyMissAsh That makes sense. Thank you! Can you please suggest me how to layer these products I have , either in AM or PM: The ordinary alpha arbutin 2% +HA, Azelaic acid 10% suspension, resveratrol+ ferulic acid , DE vitamin C. DE AHA/BHA and DE A-Passioni. I know thats too much and overwhelming. And do you recommend any other that can help with hydration, uneven skintone/ texture and enlarged pores. I would really appreciate any help.
Don't use your Vitamin C with the Azelaic Acid in the morning routine as these can conflict with one another (keep the Azelaic Acid, AHA + BHA and A-Passioni at night).
A.M. you could do Vitamin C, Resveratrol, Alpha Arbutin, moisturizer, SPF
P.M. you could do Azelaic Acid, Alpha Arbutin, Moisturizer (on the nights you want to use the Retinol) Alpha Arbutin, Retinol Moisturizer (on the nights you want to use AHA + BHA) cleanser, AHA + BHA, Alpha Arbutin, Moisturizer
Hope this helps!
Should i use ordinary argireline first then ordinary buffet? Or buffet first then argireline? Plz guide
To be completely honest it really doesn’t matter which one as they are both water based serums but from what I can remember the Argireline is a little more watery so you can put that on first but it doesn’t matter🤗
Sincerely Miss Ash awwww thank uuuuu so much i love ur videos... much 💕 love for u 😘
I sent you a dm on insta, i really need help
.............................................but dermatologist says the opposite first moisturizer followed by oils. care to clarify ? thanks
Yes, oils are best applied on top of moisturizer but there are times I experience pilling so I do it the other way around sometimes. Moisturizer then Oil is the proper way!
This was super helpful. Thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
