Sounds really good. Do NOT race that at the track without the drag radials. You don't have to launch it hard at first. Start out at idle and work your way up from there keeping an eye on trans temp.

So badass to have it back sounds like a monster I think its louder then my cammed 392 with meistershaft exhaust , beautiful build just fyi mpg are going to suck I get 8mpg on streets just with normal cruising , 15mpg on highway just keep in mind my rpm at 80mph is 3,100 due to it having a nag1 trans so your 8 speed should do better since its lower rpm at cruising but I'm shooting for 15mpg as well . Next is a build transmission and you are good to go ! Once again very happy for you keep the videos coming !..
Did you swap the torque converter at all? I put a 274 cam in mine and it was very jerky at a stop and at low speeds. You may want to look into a high stall. You could lower your idle and be more choppy
Flashing check engine lights on the ls motors usually means some kind of misfires and will only flash when it’s misfiring, when the misfires go away the check engine light gets cleared and doesn’t stay recorded. It’s probably due to the cam.
Jorge's Vlog flashing check engine light is a misfire. I just went through this with my 392 cylinders 2,4,6,8 had misfires. It was a problem with the pcm just got the reflashed diablo PCM installed today and is running great now
ECO MODE won’t help with the way the car jumps. If you want that to stop your going to need to upgrade your torque converter. You need to anyway when you get that new transmission. I’m building a N/A 448 stroker for my Scat Pack now and I just sent my torque converter out to pro torque to be upgraded cause I’ll need it to lay the power down and for the big ass cam I’ll be running.
I'm an Independent BMW Shop owner/Tuner, I respect people who fix up cars that are not designed to compete with they're faster counter parts hence I have built a BMW 750 that is kicking ass against M cars. I say that to say this, you getting this built rather than buying a hellcat is more admirable!

That is one of the things that's missing from today's muscle, is the rocking of the cam and is what gave the shaker car's their name. They are so concerned about smooth idling engines, that they do not put aggressive cams in them and lose that familiar feel of the old-school muscle. Have been thinking about doing one in my Challenger SRT8

Exactly, when you buy a Hellcat you got that thing because of the power, I was honestly blown away from day one of ownership, I didn't care for any of the options it had and don't care for what it doesn't have the car is factory drag car in four door trim, that's enough for me

Sounds awesome man and bet that is a huge improvement over the 5.7, that is an RT isn't it ?. Nowadays some of them have the 392 (Scat Pack), but the 5.7 was the only offering available for the RT models. If it was a 5.7 then it's definitely a sleeper but as hard has it thumps, most people wouldn't think so haha. I keep hearing about FCA building a car with the 426 and there's lots of vids about it, but I have not seen any solid proof that it's actually going to happen. I am hoping that the rumors are true though and would be awesome to finally see a two-door charger, that is a big one for me because my first car was a 68 and have owned two of them over the years. They are also saying that whatever car they are working on currently is supposed to be around 3,500 lbs and if they were to put the 426 in it, that would be one mean to ass Mopar and there wouldn't be anything that could touch it
Man that is sweet, roll on the throttle instead of smashing it and you will get more traction. It’s a perfect car now, just my opinion but I would wait a bit with the slicks as you don’t want to break an axle so soon . Stay safe and enjoy the beast.

I agree with you on the econ mode... I usually keep it on sport or track when I'm accelerating and then switch back to econ when up to speed. It makes having a muscle car more practical, I donno why peeps bitch about.

Nice build! Nothing like driving your car for the first time after an extensive build. It’s a good thing these A8 transmissions don’t really need a big, loose converter like the 2/3/4/6 speed autos of old. When I did heads cam and stall converter build on my c6 vette, the combo of the stall and cam really did a number on my in town mpgs. Lol Highway wasn’t too much of a drop but in town I was around 11mpgs. I ran 315 drag radials full time on my vette because spinning sucks. You DEFINITELY need a really good drag radial, full time, based on your power levels. Anything less would be dangerous and any street pulls you will be severely handicapped without a proper tire.
Pro Charged Cammed 426 HEMI Charger and fuel economy do not go together lol. It’s Gallons Per Mile. Also look into stalls for the transmission. Will help out with the kicking and bucking at low rpms. Badass ride
I'm so glad you dropped that other company. This one seems to be a lot better!!! Now you know how I feel, I cannot stand on the throttle, at low power I never stand on it or the car goes sideways. My curve starts at 2500 rpms, it's crazy, honestly I need to go full drag setup to even take advantage of it....So now i just baby it lol.

Just out of curiosity, is that the cm factory spoiler? If so, what is the clear thing you attached to it called? Didn't know if that's considered a splitter or not, but I would certainly want one for the Daytona if I get it! Awesome build man. That half throttle race against that Audi was hilarious, but looked awesome. I'm the same way when it comes to races. A race is fun regardless. I went from a Scat Pack to a Hellcat Redeye, but I really wanted to mod my Scat Pack like you did, but it just wasn’t in the cards for me. Not sure this qualifies as a sleeper with that cam lol, but I love when people under estimate your car.

You will get used to the power . Eventually it will feel slow. It took me about a year to get used to my car. It’s been couple years now and it s making 700+whp. I’m about to turn up the boost to 20 psi and see how it does.
I went a different route and installing a hellcat short block should have it all buttoned up by monday. I hope to get about the same power lvl. I do have lt and catless mids also have the edelbrock intake going in so well see.

When they make one of these 426s do they use a 6.4 that's bored and stroked? What size stroke and bore specs.

Rear end just has that stabilizer someone sells, plus a aluminum driveshaft. Makes around 850 flywheel or so I have a new trans to put in

Its a 300 srt8 lol...it would be cheaper for u to buy the 300...the ss well be much more expensive

I'm so glad you dropped that other company. This one seems to be a lot better!!! Now you know how I feel, I cannot stand on the throttle, at low power I never stand on it or the car goes sideways. My curve starts at 2500 rpms, it's crazy, honestly I need to go full drag setup to even take advantage of it....So now i just baby it lol.
This build is awesome. I'm currently looking at a 2019 Daytona because the price is right, and my current car is being Lemon-Law'd, so I'm back in the market. Just out of curiosity, is that the cm factory spoiler? If so, what is the clear thing you attached to it called? Didn't know if that's considered a splitter or not, but I would certainly want one for the Daytona if I get it! Awesome build man. That half throttle race against that Audi was hilarious, but looked awesome. I'm the same way when it comes to races. A race is fun regardless. I've whipped ass and has my ass whipped plenty of times and never make excuses when I lose. If you're faster, your faster. Just the love for speed and a good challenge! I went from a Scat Pack to a Hellcat Redeye, but I really wanted to mod my Scat Pack like you did, but it just wasn’t in the cards for me. Not sure this qualifies as a sleeper with that cam lol, but I love when people under estimate your car.

Yeah its back on now. It seems like the breather tubes might not have been routed correctly which is why, I dunno. It's all good now.

How Much Whp and Tq
You will get used to the power . Eventually it will feel slow. It took me about a year to get used to my car. It’s been couple years now and it s making 700+whp. I’m about to turn up the boost to 20 psi and see how it does.
How many pounds of boost are you at now and was that a 18% overdrive pulley?
Also what spec cam?
I went a different route and installing a hellcat short block should have it all buttoned up by monday. I hope to get about the same power lvl. I do have lt and catless mids also have the edelbrock intake going in so well see.
How much more horsepower can that setup output?
With a bigger blower and a trans that can handle it probably 1200 or so. I have the fuel for it just not the blower and trans
