Volkswagen MK2 Golf GTI Restoration, Episode 1

In this video I'm removing excessive amounts of filler from the o/s rear quarter as well as removing the rusty rear wheel arch and discovering the inner wheel arch will need replacing in its majority instead of a few small patches as first thought, outer arch gets partially welded in and awaits finishing in the next episode of the build.
Can be summed up with "well that escalated quickly"

I wish I had a barn, this has been a dream of mine to restore a MK2 Golf, ever since I was convinced to sell my beloved (LA5T) 3dr 8V H plate Big Bumpered beast for a house deposit. Grrrr

I've already done around the rear turret and all up behind the filler cap, I put some pictures of all of that in the "intro to the channel" video, that seemed like the work was never going to end 😅
