My hubby is a birder and the Black Guillemot is on his list to see when we got upto Scotland in October. I'm glad you found your mystery bird, hubbies nemesis is the wryneck, everytime he goes for, it's never where people report it to be, the joys of birding😊
Oh beautiful! I hope they're still there in October, I could be wrong, but I think they're only there during the breeding season. Ah I've never seen a wryneck either, would absolutely love to though. Thanks for the comment
Wow super photos. Im lucky to see them every day, and yes they dont seem to mind humans. I love how they stay in pairs a lot of the time. You picked a very quiet time to be in Oban, its manic with visitors just now. My friend had a sea eagle swoop down over her garden a couple of weeks ago !!! Made her jump. Im sure you came across them on Mull. Thanks for sharing these delightful photos. I hope you enjoyed Mull .......Alioban ❤
Thanks Alison, that's lovely of you to say! Oh brilliant, I do love spending time in Oban and the Guillemots are a happy addition. Fantastic! Yes, I came across many eagles on mull, another stunning place
Stunning images Mark , photographed them a couple of years ago with a phone and couldn’t believe how close they came to you . Enjoy mull my favourite place
Marc this was an excellent video with some stunning still, behavioural images! I've only seen this species from a great distance. Thank you for sharing.
Can't express how much I'm excited about this video. Not only have I stood in the exact place some years ago, noticing the guillemots breeding in the wall (while not taking half as beautiful images as you), I'm also going to spend three weeks on Mull from mid of July on, so your series couldn't come at a better moment!
@@marchumphreyphotography So far we have planned two boat trips, one to Lunga and Staffa with the 4h stay on Lunga, and another one to see dolphins and whales. Other than that we will explore the island according to weather and mood. :)
Thank you Ian 😊 I tend to shoot with manual ISO these days, don't ask me why! I just prefer it haha. So I was just moving the ISO up and down as and when needed
I caved and got myself the DJI Pocket 3 - it's absolutely fantastic. I think the only drawback is it's not weatherproof at all - so not ideal for a lot of vlogging in the UK 😂
@@JoeMaranophotography hahaha thanks mate - no worries pal! Yeah the 3 has got a bigger sensor I think, so massively improves the subject separation and low-light capabilities.

Really liked the pictures with two birds interacting with each other- both on land and water. You get a sense of their characters.
Thanks Stuart - they do seem to be constantly squabbling, so they're excellent subjects for that
Lovely pictures , wonderful birds .
Thank you very much for the comment 😊

Thank you John - much appreciated! 2 weeks left go on Mull now, we've been lucky with the weather thus far... I fear that's about to change haha

Thank you Scott! It's very much appreciated

A week in Mull! Lucky boy!
I'm counting my lucky stars for sure!
Their local whisky I’d pretty special, too!
haha you're right about that George!
That was just great Marc, some stunning images. I take it you were just using exposure compensation to balance the whites. 👍

Thanks for that Marc. Maybe something I should experiment with for that situation. 👍
Some cracking shots, Marc! New subscriber to your channel, really enjoying the your content and keep it up. Enjoy your time on Mull!
Thank you Connor, I really appreciate it! Pleased to have you as a subscriber 😊
maaate these are so so good, if you don't make the three shots from 6:20 into valentines cards then I will
Thanks brudda! Be my guest, we'll split the profits 50/50
What are you vlogging with Marc? Looks great!

@marchumphreyphotography Yeah same with the 2! I really prefer the separation the 3 is able to achieve as I absolutely hate the look of the 2!!!
@marchumphreyphotography Great images as well BTW! My head just immediately had to comment about the look of the video lol

Hi Marc can l ask you, can you actually get a shutter sound out of the OM1?
Hi Neil, not with the electronic shutter - as far as I'm aware it's only with the mechanical shutter
If the red feet are not in the picture, the black and white photos are nicer.
Agreed Richard!
