I wonder if Mark Millar knows that they don’t speak Spanish in Brazil. The premise was good, but the execution was poor. And the way Korea picked the ambassadors was stupid. I honestly don’t believe that these were the most worthy individuals. It would’ve made more sense if she picked the names out of a hat while blindfolded. The spy on the inside was completely predictable. And it didn’t make any sense that with the base in Antarctica destroyed that everybody still kept their superpowers. Your Apple Watch will not work if the local cell tower is off-line. I don’t remember the ambassador from Mexico getting an origin story. He just kind of shows up at the end without explanation. The whole thing was very British commonwealth. Or at least you’re a centric. France, the UK and Australia, get ambassador’s, but almost nobody in global south except for Brazil. The entire continent of Africa get no one
I mean indian did. And Mexico didn't got story because even him don't know why.
The reason seem shallow to be requirement . Mother issue and being gay isn't good reason . But the Indian story proven why he won't betray the team.
Executive could be better. Could have show why this team was good enought not betray each other

Oh god, another Millar book I know I'm going to love, and another Netflix mini-series in the making that I will be inevitably watching. I'm only 6 mins in and I'm already hooked. The fact that this channel has less than 50k subs is crazy.

So the Mexican teammate is called "Chico blanco"? Are you kidding me? It´s like having a texan friend called Kid White. Que mamada.
Besides of that awful made up name, i kind of seeing a pattern of Mark Millar´s comics, he likes to come up with this interesting ideas but they are kind of half baked so other writers can develop the idea more in an eventual tv adaptation.
I thought the same, maybe his last name is Blanco and they call him Chico as nickname but I don't see him calling himself that

What's the point of downloading a super power if another superhero is using it when you need it? This is kinda dumb, especially if they are all together and someone says, fine I'll take super nipple twister abilities then.
Bearing in mind the events of Big Game, surprised that they let the Ambassadors program go as far as it did. However, more Quitely and Charest is never a bad thing.

Honestly, seeing the Korean lady(Codename Korea) one punch her husband like that, reminded me of Saitama from One Punch Man for some reason. But overall, nice review. Wish to see this being adapted into a movie or a TV miniseries, being either animated or live action, that would be great.

I think this channel is better than Comics Explained, less hyperbolic energy, I come here whenever I need to find a new series to pickup.
The voice over is not as captivating and also he didn’t really explain anything. He just kind of read the comic and then gave his thoughts. Where is comics explains breaks down the comic gives back history to different styles dude
@DaRealXXLSlayer true, different styles and purposes I suppose, I guess my ADHD brain just wants to know wtf happened in the comic, and not hear someone wax poeticly about how "fkin cool, and epic" jubilees look in a comic panel and how it's a throwback to issue 128 of uncanny xmen. Honestly, I subscribe to comics explained for the xmen issue recaps because there are so many crossovers/series and storyline, hard to keep up, I guess you need to keep that energy going for that amount of content/backstory to keep your audience entertained. I like both channels for different reasons.
@@finpark7785 comments explain makes the common sound and Geisha connections to other comics comics. Dorian is a great storyteller this channel you should have a boring storytelling or maybe he should choose a better word for comment to do

The story was boring, it was interesting in the beginning, but then once they introduce the two rival scientist, it became utterly boring, and then, each introduction of each hero, got worse and worse the only interesting character out of that whole series was Jamie and they sidestep his story to introduce a scientist who had power bands, and then wrote the biggest problem with the power bands into the comic series is that if someone destroys the base where you’re holding the power bank, everyone is just stuck with those powers that they already had, and the fact that they could not share powers of one person had was using a certain power. No one else could use it.

The character is Russian, the author is from the UK, should have been pretty obvious to figure out.

Mark Miller stories always feel like they were made in 70s but half-heartedly updated to partial relevancy now. Bits of it feel outdated up to the point of cringe.
You don't need a hand gun when you have powers. Paris and Australia seem the most troubling characters. In later issues they may cause trouble, and God help them if they give an American powers.

This was one of the worst Mark Millar books I’ve read tbh.
If there’s volume 2 there needs to be a USA guy that is actually the villain, and he makes the other ambassadors fight among themselves and creates tensions in countries that don’t have ambassadors. He secretly works for billionaires

This was years ago, but I covered it all, and Kirkman’s lawyers made me take them down. Still bothers me to this day, but I’ve put it behind me. It’s what caused me to start removing text in the speech bubbles. I’ve had no issues since then thankfully.
