Writing
Scrivener [ tiny.cc/yfeluz ] is a word processor for writers. It's everything you to track any assignment. It's a word processor, ring-binder, and scrapbook.
Scapple [ tiny.cc/3geluz ] is a note-taking and mind mapping tool from the creators of Scrivener. Record notes and arrange them in a word cloud for easy reference.
Grammarly [app.grammarly.com] is powerful copy-editing software and goes beyond MS Word. The free version even caught errors Word missed in this text. You can upgrade to the Premium version if you want to supercharge your writing.
Hemingway [hemingwayapp.com] is another text editor. Its strength is its ability to score your work and give it a grade. Use this to make your writing accessible to readers.
Text to Speech
Read Aloud [chrome.google.....] is a free TTS that will read your work back to you in a flat monotone. Hearing your work read back to you in monotone can help you pick out errors that you might have missed.
Graphic Design
GIMP [www.gimp.org] is a good tool for the price, which is free.
Canva [www.canva.com] has several interesting features, even in the free version. Canva helps to quickly assemble graphics, eBook covers, logos, or anything else. It also includes a library of stock images.
PinClipart.com is a source for clipart that I use in my videos, and it’s free. Instead of buying royalty-free images, you watch ads and download your image.

Deviantart.com - I also pull from Deviantart. Remember, give credit for any work you pull, don’t use paid images you haven’t paid for, and watch for any copyright restrictions on the images.
Video Design
Doodly [www.doodly.com] is what I use for all my doodle videos.
PlaceIt [www.placeit.net] is a tool that helps you to create custom intros or anything else.
Renderforest [tiny.cc/2ogmuz] is the tool I used to create the flag animation for every video.
Openshot Video Editor [www.openshot.org] is a free video editor I pair with Doodly for my videos. It gets the job done and it's free.
Audio
Audacity [www.audacitytea...] is a free audio editor/mixer. It’s fine if you don’t need anything fancy.
Blue Yeti USB Microphone [amzn.to/3F7XLCd] For when the integrated mic on your laptop or webcam just won’t cut it anymore.
Free-stock-music.com is a source of free stock music for your projects. Put some reference text in the video description and you can use their music.
Zapsplat.com is a free source of sound effects for your videos. It’s like PinClipart for audio clips.
