My favorite moment in these videos is where they listen to an onboard and can **hear** where it is. It just shows how talented they really are. They recognize every corner, every straight and every gear shift just from pure instinct. Amazing.

Only twice in races IIRC. Four retirements due to the car. He's not that bad a driver, I think he's outqualified KMAG this year. He's just very accident prone, but way faster than Maldonado.

An interresting statistic is that Lando Norris has the best average qualifying results of the rest of the field.
And just behind him is Magnussen! (Tied with Ricciardo).
Just shows how much pace is really there.
I hope they fix the tire/car problem soon.

You add up their qualifying positions and divide the number by how many grand prix's there's been.
Apart from Mercedes, Ferrari and RB, top 5 is:
Norris - 9.42
Magnussen - 10.25
Ricciardo - 10.25
Sainz - 10.83
Grosjean - 11.08
Jokes aside, Groesjean was damn good with that “guess the track by the audio”

That's why Grosjean is still in F1. His attention to detail is second to none and is a very fast driver on his day. The onboard Audio track guess has to be one of the best ever.

@@Vazin most unsporting driver on the grid. There is not a single driver on the grid who likes him. You can even see rookies saying magnussen drives likes a mad man on track ready to crash but won't give the position.
@@aniketsakalley5374 Yet many of the oldschool drivers praise his style of driving. It's what people want to see, and not some kind of kindergarten racing. He drives with his elbows out and that's how racing should be. Even Ricciardo used to praise his style of driving, until he himself was on the recibing end in Hungary. And do you have proof of your statement, that not a single driver likes him?

I'm also impressed. He recognized by listening the downshift only. But, I think there are 3 reasons why Grosjean recognized easily:
1. It's Barcelona, they've already practiced in there for over and over.
2. It was Grosjean who drove that car.
3. Grosjean is more genius than we thought. I mean, if we look at Lando and Carlos grill on the grid, they needed time to recognize Baku by listening.
They look like such nice guys. I mean, Kevin has this really soft voice and Romain is always smiling. If you had to put a face to their reputation, would anyone pick theirs?
The energy between them is pretty RICH.
