It's his first album on his OWN COMPANY and it was a 10/10.
He did not dissapoint us on this, the music in the album is like a perfect ride, only he can put an album like that 💗💗💗

If you watch the behind the scenes, you can tell Baekhyun had a vision and knew exactly what he wanted this mv to look like. I am so so proud of him as an artist and business man. I still find myself signing the chorus randomly throughout my day lol It's my favorite title track and mv next to Get You Alone which until now was my #1 but Pineapple slice, to me, showcases his maturity as an artist and entertainer. I love everything about this song/mv
Baekhyun said that he chose this song after hearing that base line. And the band version he did for It's Live sounds amazing too! I really love how this album doesn't sound quite like anything else he's done x

even though i've been watching baekhyun for many years now and know very well how amazing he is , this mv blew me away. everything about this mv is pure perfection.his vocals, his swagger ,the camera work. all of it was beyond outstanding !
Since Chen's empty mv is also from INB100, I think their music videos are film like and the colors of both mvs are captivating which i never focused on until now, really looking forward to their mvs. Baekhyun's intention for this album is that "no matter what artist u listen too u will come back to me" HE IS TALK AND WALK which is why i love this album

If I were writing a review of the mv for a big music magazine it would be “Baekhyun whispers in your ear and you levitate, because of course you would.”
I loved your review. You shared so many insights that created more depth to the visual and aural experience. This is his first solo work in three and a half years and that hiatus was well spent. The album is as different and interesting as Pineapple Slice. It’s pretty experimental in parts, which isn’t unexpected since Baekhyun just set himself free from SM.
I maintain that the Bambi Album is one of the greatest albums to ever album but Hello World is pure perfection. Beakhyun’s artistry is unbelievable!
the fact that Baekhyun made a vampire concept, which is the most overdone concept in kpop, feel super fresh and interesting is a real testament to his artistry. maybe it's because there's a real storyline to it instead of the "concept" just being like, "handsome man is a vampire", it it really worked for me.
since you probably don't know, Baekhyun left SM ent. a while ago and opened up HIS OWN company ("INB100") and since he's his own CEO now, he has full creative control over his work now. he also said that he was part in ANY process of the whole comeback, except the after editing of the video! he got to choose the song, decided how to deliver the parts, co-created the choreo, the sets, the shots ect... the whole vision of this comeback was his idea too! so he really proved them haters wrong that he can't be without SM since he really is a mastermind! and regarding the confidence u talked about, his charisma and ability to portray certain emotion or just present himself is what makes him stand out so much and attracts so many people since he ain't just got a pretty face but a captivating aura too!

If you already crush hard on Baekhyun, like me, that whisper scene took me out....the sexiest thing I've seen in kpop in a long time....seduction 101 is what this song is....a twilight love story in 3 minutes, Baekhyun does not have to do much to make you feel goosebumps, the song and mv leads up to that whisper, and his looks and calm confident "stick around cause I WILL get you" feeling creeps up on you before you know it and your awe struck....a great feeling regardless.... my neck is waiting for you Baek. 💙🌺

i definitely agree that this mv felt so refreshing, when i first watched this mv i had no idea why i was so obsessed and captivated and this rarely ever happens to me ever, and its definitely to do with his acting, movements and the film style. after watching him dancing in the water in the chorus something changed in my brain forever 🤭 this mv was literally baekhyun seducing the audience

Thank you so much for the amazing review especially about the MV. As a huge fan of him since 2013, I already know how amazing he is vocally but hearing him getting praised for his artistic direction makes me so proud. Now that he has his own company, he does have a lot of input for this MV, from the concept to the actual filming and ofcourse him working with the directors / staffs and crews that listened well to his wants helped a lot.
PD-nim, you don't have to film this one but you should watch his HELLO WORLD Concept Film. Its literally a movie. He worked with the director that worked with DPR Ian too and I'm sure you know how artistic and conceptual Ian's MVs are. I swear when I watched that concept film, I immediately thought of Ian. Its amazing!

my first impressions watching the mv were that Baekhyun united all the things us, exols, wanted to see in a comeback of him... black hair, dark concept, r&b... he listened to all of our tastes and did the best title track he could do, in a independent way, with his own company. He worked A LOT on this, especially choosing the music, because Bambi was 3 and a half years ago. The whole album is amazing btw, all the songs could be the title track, and I can't choose my favorite yet. The mv is so magnetic and it really reminds me (not because of the concept, but the narrative) of MJ MVs, especially Thriller at the end, or the seductive factor of Remember The Time. He also directed and participated at the post production and put his maximum effort, it's pretty clear that Baekhyun wants to expand his career outside of Asia because he knows HE CAN DO IT. I think we are really proud of him and his work during this year.

I already knew they were bats by the reverse movement of the dancers. The creativity of it all was fascinating; from the lifting by rope, grabbing his shades, the swirling with the girl, his mouth going towards the camera, the dancing in water, the throwing of the clothes etc. Baekyhun stated a couple of times in the bts that he wanted to do a vampire scene because he said vampires are s*xy and me: the cosmic scene in her eyes looked like spm pollywogs swimming its way into the fallopian tube and you know the rest. This video was filmed in Barcelona, Spain in a hotel that looks like a mini mansion/castle. Baekyhun’s mission is to eat everyone’s heart ❤️🔥 for a living. 🤭
I get what you mean when you said this MV feels very different from other MVs. I had the same feelings when I first watched this. Here are my thoughts why it felt like that.
1. Yes the concept is vampire but more of elegant vampire royal vibes (If you pay close attention, he lives in a huge old mansion/castle). There may have been vampire royal concepts but not in this very luxurious sophisticated way without violence. (Yes, he turned the girl into a vampire but we didn't see the action but just drops of bloods)
2. Very cinematic. It's like a well produced vampire themed movie in mins. Specially the camera direction.
3. Less dance moves than average kpop MV. The dance moves they chose are sexy and elegance (where he dancing on the water and with dancer). Those parts of choreography matches so well with the concept without interrupting the story nor look out of the place.
4. Having a good amount of screentime to the actress and group shots. It was not strictly centered around Baekhyun even if he is the protagonist of the story.
5. Perfect harmony between the song and the visuals. As you mentioned, the dark pop vibes from the synths from the begining and bass line laid a good foundation. It's mystic, alluring and elegant. Even if you listen to the song without visuals, you still gonna imagine something similar to this MV. The song is what this MV needed and the MV is what this song needed.
Also, I recommend you to watch other teasers he did for this album rollout because there are parts of his teasers that inspired by Truman Show and Chungking Express. So it's safe to say this entire album was a cinematic experience from begining to end. If you watch the MV behind the scene, you will see how Baekhyun had a vision and he definitely fulfilled it.
Personally, this is his best MV.. We got to see artist Baekhyun through this album because he had the 100% creative control over it.
