I've been waiting for this! Warsaw is my home airport and honestly speaking LOT is my favourite airline. I' m glad you enjoyed flying with LOT and that you'll "fly a LOT more with them" in the near future. Fun fact: LOT is known for serving snacks and some hot beverages even on their domestic flights like 30 minutes long flight from Warsaw to Krakow

Das Boot what’s really helped Lot to survive was lower Fuel prices from 2013-2017 and the Combination of flying the more comfortable & fuel efficient B787-9 Dreamliner jets. If they still held onto those old B767’s , they would be knocking on Lufthansa’s door for help.
Good video! I'm heard too that LOT is a very good airline in Europe. They got a lot of the new airplanes like B787-8, B787-9, B737-MAX. I hope I will use this airline in my future trip to Europe!
In My Opinion, LOT Is A Great Airline In My Opinion Usually People Might Not Have The Best Experience With Them Due To The Fact The Aircraft Is Old Or Wasn’t Cleaned Properly It’s Mainly Because They Have Short Layouts From Inbound And Probably The Reason Why .
I used to work as a flight attendant on board of LOT Polish Arlines and I enjoyed the job very much not only because I have kerosin in my veins but also because I got the feeling that allthough not the most modern it is one of the most friendly airlines in Europe
Had to fly Lot from Warsaw to Paris after Air France cancelled my flight (they were on strike, again) - very good experience although the same day tickets were crazy expensive (700 eur / person in economy) - fortunately the compensation from AF for the cancelled flight was also 700 :)

@@chillipeppers7285 Nah, LOT is dirt cheap sometimes. I flew them in January 2020 for 74GBP for the WAW-LHR flight whereas BA was selling it for 171GBP. They are great for the price and I don't have much bad stuff to say about them.

LOT Polish Airlines was ALWAYS well regarded even when it was FORCED to fly nothing but SOVIET made jets. Glad to know it's maintained its excellent reputation and even improved upon it.

I chose "LOT" as the most visible example we see here in the NYC area at our international airports. I remember my DAD "going home" in the mid 1980's and seeing him board a TUPOLEV airliner. It was the closest I ever got to the COMMUNIST regime and the technology imposed upon Poland by her BEHEMOTH neighbor ie. the USSR. PS: He made it. Non-stop. Safely in both directions. Kudos to the designer/builders at TUPOLEV and the mechanics and pilots at LOT who kept the jet flying through the "COLD WAR" era.
Lavish , you need to fly a bit more, and try Singapore, Qatar, Emirates or Cathay Pacific. There is a reason why LOT hasn’t been voted best Airline by Trip advisor, or even... by Skytrax. This is coming from a Polish person. If LOT was that good, they would be more successful & have the captial to invest into network expansion. But, they struggle to do that. They only recently returned to flying into Singapore after ending that route in 1995!

I can tell you when flying from Europe to Asia , I would have to say Lufthansa outdoes LOT to Singapore ,( economy) , even better than Swiss from ZRH-BKK. I have not flown BA , so I can’t comment on them.Im not a blind patriot for Lot. I’m sure Lot have improved, but a lot of people complain about the frequency of delays and poor customer support when a delay occurs. I judge the airline’s I have flown by their level/ Quality of service. LH did a good job of re directing my flight to EVA AIR when my flight out of KRK-FRA-BKK was cancelled. Went via AMS to BKK 3 yrs ago.

You are right, this would not happen with BA. I think BA would have put them up in a hotel for one extra night while they organized payment to the engineering company.
My first choice airline :) I’m really glad that there are still airlines such as LOT Polish which offer ,,old-good service” even on 40 minutes flights. Lufthansa Group with its new policy lost me as a passenger.
I personally feel lot Polish is lot better than many other European airlines ( Lufthansa, swiss ) .. usually decent priced too .. young fleet. for some reason it's under rated.. Waiting for India Poland flights to restart .
Would be great if you could do full flight video from VLY to CWL Anglesey Airport (RAF Valley) to Cardiff Airport flying in a Jetstream 41 with Eastern airways. Only takes 50 minutes inflight time from North to South Wales with breathtaking views of the Welsh countryside providing that the weather conditions are kind to you Noel on the day of filming. Something to consider in the summer maybe when it’s less likely to pour down with rain.
Hi Nick, that option is certainly on the cards. We have family who live around a 5 minute drive from VLY airport on Anglesey so there is every chance I will take this flight at some point :)

Would have been fantastic filming the Let L-410UVP-E Turbolet. I know how much you enjoy inflight experience in an older aircraft, look into flying with 'VAN AIR Europe' based in the Czech Republic that still has the L410 aircraft in commercial operation.
WAW is to small as a airport and thats why it is busy. I believe that flight LVO-WAW was at time when a lots of other flights, especially long hauls ( parked LOT`s 787 ), are being done daily. The same situation is in Frankfurt, when you fly with Lufthansa on european route, there is a very big chance that you will have to wait for parking space especially in terminal B :)
That would be very cool. I've flown the Norwegian MAX before and was pretty underwhelmed. LOT are sending theirs to London though so hopefully soon I can fly on one :)

I am Polish and I don't really mind flying LOT, although many of my friends complain. The only problem that I have with them is that they are notoriously late. I once missed my flight to Chicago because the domestic flight had no plane available to get us to WAW on time. Another time the flight was totally cancelled. In case I need to be somewhere on time I would go with another airline.
Becasue it's a Polish city essentially. Designed and built by Poles, one of the key Polish cultural centres until Stalin forced it from us as a result for absolutely disastrous for Poland WW2.
Yes, LOT economy class is definitely similar quality as in every other big European line (AF, BA, KLM, SAS, Lufthansa and other poor or average quality lines). Considering quality and customer service all EU lines are much much worse than the best world class carriers. With a few (i know exactly two: Air France and Lufthansa) exclusions but only in first/business class.
Definitely not the best airline in Europe, but still a very decent airline. I flew with them from Warsaw to Tokyo and had a very pleasant experience. We flew in a 7 days old 787 and the flight attendants were nice and helpful. Still not the best airline though, since you get more legroom and a better entertainment system on airlines such as Lufthansa, British Airways and KLM. Still a very decent airline though.
Flew with LOT once, but I won't be doing it again. Crappy plane with non functioning toilet with no running water, parts of plastics in the passenger cabin falling down while the plane was taking off and constant delays even after our primary flight was cancelled and we had to buy tickets to another airport near our primary destination. I now see why they have a chapel on Warsaw airport, to pray that the damn plane even takes off and that it somewhat lands safely. Easily an airline that should be banned from flying in the EU.

I recommend going Poland with lot polish airlines I flew with them many times and I loved it
smoooooth landing. Polish airline pilots have been considered to be one of the best for 70 years.
I travelled with LOT recently on the E175 and it was a great experience so have to agree with your thoughts on the airline. Nice video by the way!
I've been flying with them several times within the last 20 years, and in my opinion LOT is like European Qatar Airways. Highly recommended!

Crappy plane with non functioning toilet with no running water, parts of plastics in the passenger cabin falling down while the plane was taking off and constant delays even after our primary flight was cancelled and we had to buy tickets to another airport near our primary destination. I now see why they have a chapel on Warsaw airport, to pray that the damn plane even takes off and that it somewhat lands safely. Easily an airline that should be banned from flying in the EU.
