How does Pepsi get the Chicago pd to escort employees off the property? Is it as simple as a local Pepsi manager contacting the Chicago pd and saying we are concerned about potential destruction to our property when we fire our employees? Do they have to show evidence to justify their concerns or is escorting recently fired employees off a company's property a service the Chicago pd offers to anyone?

Probably a good idea to not piss off a big corporation. It's either this or they park somewhere and watch movies on their phone waiting to be dispatched.
DEMOCRATIC CONTROLLED STATE,DEMOCRATIC CONTROLLED CITY . THANK VOTERS
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 yup same thing I said they’re not closing plants and jobs migrants are not taking them either where I I live a Republican Ran city
Vote blue, more companies closing doors, especially if Kamala keeps rasing corporate taxes, these corporations will pack up and go to other countries, just like they did during Obama administration.
I'm favoured only God knows how much I praise Him, $230k every 4weeks! I now have a big mansion and can now afford anything and also support God’s work and the church.
Only God knows how much grateful i am. After so much struggles I now own a new house and my family is happy once again everything is finally falling into place!!
Wow that's huge, how do you make that much monthly?
I'm 37 and have been looking for ways to be successful, please how??
It's Ms. Evelyn Vera doing, she's changed my life.
I started pretty low, though, $5000 thereabouts. The return came massive. Joey is in school doing well, telling me of new friends he's meeting in school. Thank you Evelyn Vera, you're a miracle.
The economy is strong! Building back better!
Well at least we can use the Chicago police officers for something since they definitely don't stop crime. Maybe the mayor should get involved since he doesn't do anything either
WELL WHEN THERE IS 400 MURDERS A YEAR ITS PRETTY TUFF…MAYBE IT IS A GANG WAR ZONE
Oh the mayor does plenty... unfortunately, most of it helps no one but him and his cronies. Most is illegal too. Hopefully the guy ends up in prison where he belongs.
Agree.
Kind of odd that this place was hiring a couple of months ago and now it's gone, bad for business
you get what you vote for
can't say 'you get what you vote for'...we don't know what these people voted for.
I certainly didn’t vote for corporate to have more power over us so they can pull hissy fits and price gouge us while getting so much of my tax dollars in welfare while their workers are literally going hungry.
Chicago a shitshow
I’m calling it right now
Venseualns going to take over
Not necessarily. Just replaced with fresh employees at entry levels instead of those who have been there 20yrs and paid much more because of how long they’ve been there. Doubt Pepsi cares who the new entry level employees will be.

That's terrible for years of loyal service but always expect as an employee that you're expendable and save as much as possible.
Yes 💯 percent because it's always going to be profit over people ‼️ 😭
Yes you got it . Business is business and that's what it is . Feelings aren't part of doing business.

Yeah because companies love operating in blue states😂😂😂😂
@ what does that even mean kid?
I feel for these hard workers.
I hope these workers are getting a compensation package for years of service and not just payment until December. Shame on you Pepsi
General Mills closed our factory about 10 years ago. They gave us approximately 6-12 months notice. They also provided 2 weeks severance for each year of service up to 52 weeks. Kept the health insurance at cost unless you took a lump sum. Had a couple job fairs at our cafeteria. We saw it coming, Company over built and had idle equipment… so they closed the oldest facility.
There is no worse feeling than losing your job. I have been there. First comes fear, then intense anger. I slammed the phone down and was escorted out. I have since moved on to another completely different job.
As long as you work for someone else, you are highly vulnerable Dear One.
This is only the start of massive layoffs.
People don’t drink as much soda pop as in the past.
Home sweet home Chicago
I have to still thank God because they will not miss any pay for holidays at least. And with the union they goin have to pay them something extra. Unemployment benefits should be available afterwards.
Lay them off, restart a few months later, hire immigrants, save money. These big companies have no loyalty towards anyone...
Boycott Pepsi 😢
Boycott all sodas. Going out to restaurants sodas are near or over $4 a cup. I order only water with lemon now when I go out to eat. Which isn't very often anymore. I'm a juice man when I'm at home.
Boycott the democrats that are driving away business while inviting illegals .. more crime and higher taxes will drive away more and more money and leave chicago poorer and poorer.

That’s the globalists plan. They create the problem to push their solutions. Trump is our only chance against the world economic forum. They want us in poverty.
TOO MUCH COKE!!!
Pepsi has enough money to pay each of those employees more than 60 days pay for those who had been there their whole lives. They need to fix that with a bonus pay for a year, not 60 days! Shame on you Pepsi.
60 days is pretty good. Some places give nothing!
They have a Union Contract which spells out any pay they should get if the plant closes. Why would Pepsi pay past what was negotiated?
Yep
You people are funny 😂
Pepsi has been paying Unions handsomely. Pepsi is tired of greedy union employees. Pepsi seen whats ahead and took care of business quickly

BOYCOTT PEPSI. This shutdown is heartbreaking especially before the holiday season. If Pepsi drinkers would stop buying the soda (remember Budweiser) it may help the workers.
most people drink diet coke . Pepsi is a southern thing .coke owns the market now .them that drink Pepsi are dedicated and will stay .Budweiser is not a American company sold to a out of the usa company .and i will agree they got hurt. but their is better beer out there. i used to drink bud for years and when it got sold i went to the next miller - high life- champagne of beer - made in the usa owned by a company in the usa and price is right and workers and union all benefit my change to it .and it good . i do like pepsi only because in the 90s i met the president and he gave me lots of products to take home to my family .so i am not a impartial comment .i feel bad for the workers .i feel bad that soda companys cant even make good real flavored sugar water. its a can or bottle of chemicals and over priced .robots do not drink soda. or buy things so i think in time they will be out of business selling soda .they will just buy another company with the money meant for soda and file bankrupt. time will tell.
