- Actress Alyssa Milano is bringing “Who’s the Boss?” back! She gave “Extra’s” Billy Bush an update about the revival, revealing she’s “very pleased” with the direction it’s taking. Alyssa also spoke about her activism and her decades-long work on behalf of UNICEF.

No Judith Light, no successful reboot. Tony and Angela WERE the show. They had help, from the dearly departed Katherine Helmond and especially from Alyssa in the later seasons, but Tony Danza and Judith Light’s chemistry was the bedrock of the OG series.
I agree but that chemistry wouldn't be the same. They're too old.
I can't watch it without Angela. It would ruin the whole original series. I enjoy the reruns too much to do that to myself.

For the reboot to work Angela would have to be there full time. A lot of original viewers would want Angela married to Tony. If that's not the case here, forget it. And Sam having "kids" this late in life as kids when she was married in 1992? Just doesn't sound believable. I can't see this going on long if Angela isn't there full time. Tony is great, but Judith needs to be there as well. Nobody just wants to tune in to see Sam's kids. It's gonna be another teen fest with all these newbie actors who act all hip and cool. The premise is too much like Fuller House. But for this to work, Angela should be there full time and be married to Tony. I give it one season. Why is Sam still at the same house? Why isn't Judith there? Is Angela living elsewhere on Business? Did she leave Sam to watch the house? My guess is she is NOT married to Tony. One spoiler was that Sam was on the go with her career, so maybe Angela is her boss? But it just won't work if Angela and Tony aren't together and she's not there full time.
You're so right about everything. How do they explain that Tony and Angela are not together when the last episode Tony comes back to Angela and tells her basically that he couldn't live without her. He told her the only thing he resented was being without her so he came back to her. It does not make sense and would be incredibly sad if they are not together. Tony and Angela were meant for each other, you can see it all the way from the beginning. They were really like husband and wife except for the obvious, I mean they took vacation together, supported each other, wherever Angela was, Tony was there too, so how do you explain Angela being there occasionally? It's ridiculous and I highly doubt people are tuning in to see Sam and her kids. Sam marrying Hank was a joke, no wonder the marriage didn't last, there was no way she loved Hank like Tony loved Angela, I mean the first episode of season 8 she was dating Fred, if she wanted to marry Jesse I can understand but Hank?

@@sueclive6832 Yes, this is weird. It's like she's in the script but didn't get the word. Unless they know they are having Angela elsewhere on business or whatever, and Sam lives at the house. It just is so unbelievable. Angela is near retirement. Tony is retired. Angela is not there at the house but Sam is? Sam has kids now? When she was married in 1992?! Come on! I just feel it's gonna be a big let down. All about teens and the same crap we see in these teen and pre teen sitcoms. All hip and cool. And Tony not being married to Angela will ruin it for longtime fans who won't be happy. I feel they aren't married as they would have said Tony and Angela were married now. They haven't. It appears Tony is retired and single. Big let down. Judith making "occasional appearances" to me means they are getting 10 episodes, right? She shows up at some point in one or two of them. Then the series is over. My guess is Angela is not married and still working and working elsewhere...maybe she is Sam's boss? Tony moves in to watch the kids. Single. Won't be interesting.
Yes, very weird. By now Judith should be interviewed again about it and confirm. I feel Alyssa just knows the plotline of the season arc and the first few don't call for Angela. Especially the Pilot, or if she's there, it won't be a lot of screentime, just Special Guest Star B.S., not married to Tony. working elsewhere, left Sam the house, she has kids who for sure wouldn't be the age they are now...she married in 1992, come on! Just not believable. And Tony moving in makes me feel he's single. It's gonna upset a lot of fan who watched for Tony and Angela. I can't see it getting more than 1 season.

@@trawlins396 yet they will still go ahead with it like that. They would have mentioned "adopted" if she adopted them. They said she was single. But she was married in 1992...so it seems she only was married to that same guy and then they got divorced many years later and had kids as well many years later. Why would Tony come back to watch high schoolers or older? There's no way the kids are 13 or younger.
