- The battle of Tigers was highlighted by Auburn’s opportunistic defense taking advantage of LSU mistakes creating points off of turnovers.
After a scoreless first quarter the Auburn offense came alive scoring 21 unanswered points in the second quarter alone. Scoring on a short field set up by an INT, a scoop and score and then capping the quarter off with an 8 play 99 yard drive. LSU was able to go 32 yards in the half’s final 40 seconds to kick a field goal before the break to cut into the lead 21-3.
Then in the second half it was more of the same for the Auburn Tigers. They got the second half opening kick off and drove it 75 yards down the throat of LSU to strengthen their lead. On the first play of the half for LSU, TJ Finley threw an INT and Auburn was able to get points off of the turnover.
Auburn dominated in the second half scoring on all but 2 drives. They would take home the SEC win 48-11 over LSU.

I fully agree, he really does try to do everything and it goes wrong. That's why he has so many TOs.
@Josh Blocker the dude just does not play well on the road. To me, that screams lack of confidence and experience. The dudes gonna get better people just need to give him time. He plays like a heisman candidate when hes at home
@@NWozz034 This is true. And it goes for his supporting cast as well. The more they improve, the more he can. People are quick to call players trash and write them off, even when the players are only freshman. I'm always reminded of players like Ben Leard. Alot of fans wrote him off during his freshman and sophomore seasons. He ended up an All-s.e.c qb that led Auburn to the s.e.c. title game his senior year. Or a player like Jason Campbell, who fans would have and probably did call him trash when he was benched for Daniel Cobb early in his career. He ended up doing pretty well, to say the least. Not saying Bo will do this or do that, but he still has time and a chance to.

Sorry to tell you, but Nix is still trash. Our LSU defense has made every QB look good including the Mizzu and Miss St QBs.
I'm an lsu fan but I'm getting tired of people saying we've lost a lot of players, and that's true but just look at what alabama does when they loose players they are always ready comes down to coaching

Bama lost 2 of their top 4 pass catchers, LSU lost 4 of their top 5.
Both lost starting QBs.
LSU lost 4 starting OL, what did Bama lose, one?
LSU lost their starting junior RB, Bama got theirs to return.
Defensively LSU lost the entire starting front 7, their starting nickel, another starting corner, and a starting safety.
In total LSU lost over 30 players from last years team (backups included). LSU is second to last in returning production and no team in recent history has played in the national championship and lost as much as LSU has, not even close.
As a LSU fan, I'm just glad we had last year😭😭 makes this loss hurt just a little less

I’ve never seen a program lose what LSU lost and still come out dominant the next season lol

Reality is Bama wouldn’t be no where near as good as they are right now if they lost 17 players and that’s a promise. LSU has no experience.... I’ve played sports my entire life and the jump from sophomore to junior is always big. LSU is always in the top of the recruiting list. They have talent. Just needs more experience. I would care less about ragging Alabama if they lost 17 players and wasn’t that great the following year. I mean it’s just facts. Common sense kind of thing. Rules Question here: On the Seth Williams fumble at the goal line (4:55 on video), why is the ball not ruled dead when the LSU player who is out of bounds hits it forward into the end zone. Shouldn't the ball have been spotted where he touched it and have been Auburns ball?

As a typical Auburn fan, Seth Williams needs to hold on to the ball better, kicker needs to kick it in the end zone and not miss extra points. Otherwise, we played great lol. War damn eagle.

War Eagle 🦅 always but this is not the LSU team I'm used to seeing. A bit reminiscent of the Auburn team in 2011, one year after winning the national championship. Loads of talent moved on and there were changes in the coaching staff with the exception of the head coach. LSU will be back, just like Auburn will be a contender for the natty again.
