Resistance 3 Part 15 - One way trip to the Tower

When I was a teen, I saw this badass demo that took place on a boat. The world around the boar was desolate, flooded and frozen. We were driving down a flooded town, we were avoiding the roads because the aliens/monsters were patrolling them. There was zombie like monsters jumping on the boats followed by giant walking machines with search lights scanning the river. The demo ends with the boat blowing up to a bunch of missiles.
The title Resistance 3 popped up; at that moment I was hooked on that game. When I looked up the games before Resistance 3, I immediately fell in love with the franchise. Imagine the sadness I experience when I found out it was only on PlayStation 3 when I had an Xbox 360. I had to abandon the idea of playing this game or any of the Resistance games, Watched and read about the games but could never play them. Years later, today we are here to play the game that got me hooked to this trilogy and franchise. Nathan Hale is no longer with us, replaced with surviving member of Echo Squad, a Sentinel no more, Joseph Capelli. Nathan's blood was used to procure a vaccine for the Chimera Virus, a little too late. (0% of the Human Population is gone, the rest are hiding in ruins and camps. The chimera no longer infects human, their job is done, all they do is kill the remaining population and terraform the planet for their pure master's arrival.
Joeseph is a family man now, he was kicked out of that military life, all he cares about is keeping his family alive. Chimera death squads found their hideout, they followed an old man here. Our good friend Dr. Malikov, he needs our help to get to a tower in New York. A wormhole above New York is slowly freezing the planet, Malikov is the only person that could deactivate the tower. Joeseph is the best chance at getting Malikov to New York, a one-way trip.
Malikov's plan to ride a boat to avoid Chimera patrols worked for a few hours. On this Mississippi river, we saw a flooded abandonee town, filled with Chimera flora and Grims. At some point after the wormhole opened up in New York, the Chimera Hivemind did some changes, many of the nonessential strains were completely cut off from the hivemind and from the Chimera military. These Chimera became feral and attacked the military strains, becoming a huge threat to Chimera. Small pockets of human Resistance are nothing compared to the entire city population of Grims now turned feral. Leapers now hunt human and military Chimera and have been reproducing in the wild, feral chimera infecting unvaccinated humans turn them into Grims. Potentially hundreds of Grims lurk in infested ruins, some even encased in pods from during their infection. Chimera have been trying their best to keep these infestations from reaching critical mass, using shock drones to burn a nest to the ground.
New York City
After days of traveling, walked the last miles from Pennsylvania, but we made it to New York. The thing is without Malikov alive to turn off the tower, there little hope now. New York has been frozen over due to the wormhole slowly cooling the Earth. Joeseph found a radio and send some final words to his wife and kid, knowing he'll die trying to reach the tower.
Joeseph is slowly walking through the frozen remains of New York, there were a few corpses of fallen SRPA soldiers from a failed assault years ago, over 1000 men died attacking the tower. Survivors were hunted down by the Chimera and crawled through the grim infested subway. I retrace the men steps from the subway towards the wastelands of the last battle. Grims and leapers stalk the subways, and a widowmaker is prowling Times Square.
